On January 4, 2011, a team from Allied installed carpet on the upper floors of our house. The walls had been professionally painted the month before, and were in pristine condition. When the team was finished, there were over 30 marks, handprints, gouges and smears. They refused to take responsibility for the damage. We complained to Costco Custom Decorators, who were the general contractor for this job. On January 11, "Mike" came to assess the damage. He would not take responsibility for anything more than "a couple of scratches." Many calls to Allied were met with denial of responsibility and refusal to repair or reimburse us for the damage. After a month of communication, sending photos of the damage, and a letter from our painter, Costco agreed to reimburse us to have the walls repainted. We never received anything, even an apology, from Allied. We would like to save anyone in the area who is considering carpet installation the nightmare that we had with this company, from start to finish.
