All Construction & Remodeling

We are not happy with any of the work completed by Rob Elias and All Construction and Remodeling. First of all, the work he did was a year and several months PAST the date it was supposed to be completed according to his contract. He started the job in October 2015 and as of May 31, 2017, he still has not completed the job. I fired him at that point!. We literally had to just move in even though the work was not completed. We were desperate to get the house to a point where we could just move in. He completely took advantage of us and he did terrible work. We will be taking him to court so I will not get into too many details about specifics until after our case is resolved. I will say this, there is not one place in our home that was done well.....not one. We have problems with our windows, siding, vents, electrical, cabinets, damage done by him or his workers to our property during the remodel, tile work, azek, roofing, waterproofing, the patio, the grass the cedar posts/brackets/ water in the garage, workmanship, the painting, the doors, the molding, the plumbing, the plumbing fixtures, the wood floors,mistakes, etc....the list goes on. The bottom line and the most important part of this is that we continue to get water in our basement. He was given several months to fix the problem. The patio step is graded so that the water flows into the house and pools on the step...RED FLAG! Instead of fixing the step, he sent a coatings guy in to assess the issue to see what could be done. I asked that guy if he could guarantee that water would not get in our basement. He said no he could not and that he only sells the products. He is not a waterproofer! I couldn't believe ROB wasted more of our time and that guys time. Rob coated our basement with something that was supposed to be impervious to water according to the coating guy. Water got into our basement anyway. So Rob expected to use a different coating to prevent the water from getting in. He should've installed the patio and the siding the correct way the first time and we wouldn't have a problem. In any event, we are hiring a professional to fix that mistake, The siding was not installed correctly and is blowing off so that will also be fixed correctly along with the metal fascia. In addition, the roof was not installed correctly and will also need replacing. We discovered several MAJOR issues when we had other professionals look at the work. This continues daily. We will continue to get estimates and have professionals tell us what needs to be done to address the problems. And that is just the outside....the inside is just as terrible. I waited over a year to get my dream home only to have sloppy workmanship, dirty floors, doors that don't close correctly, cabinets that are broken, door handles that just pop off the interior doors, outlets that trip other appliances when in use. A laundry room outlet that trips the lights in the bathroom. The knob on my Rangetop was broken during the build. My table $1,500. table was ruined bc they spilled something on it. My hand scraped wood floors have drywall dust embedded in the crevices. It doesn't come out. My mudroom lockers have a heating vent that comes out of the floor under them. That will need to be moved and the light in the room is about 4 inches from the locker rendering the upper unit unusable. The lockers were in the plans....no excuse for the poor planning and install. He just ignored putting molding around our windows and the molding he put around the doors is baseboard trim not molding that was not approved by us, The marble floor in my bath is cracked and will need to be fixed. The wrong fixtures were installed in all the showers. We have an outlet in our laundry room that was installed by mistake. Instead of removing the outlet and drywalling over it and then installing the cabinet, they just left the outlet and cut the cabinet so it would fit around the outlet. That is the kind of work you will get with All Construction! When I saw that...I could not believe my eyes. Rob is a great talker. So it is up to you to make sure you out talk him and get what you want or else you will get what he thinks you should have. I have been in sales my whole life. I worked with guys like him. He can sell a job but cannot live up to his own hype. One time we were discussing the landscaping (he has no clue). I asked him about putting a bed in. He said the city won't let you put a bed in the swale. The location where I wanted the bed was not in the swale....I had to ask him several times the same question in different ways because he would not give me a straight answer....I finally said so the city said I could not put a bed there. He just changed the subject and moved onto the front of the house. He just ignored me and went onto something else...I was like really.... In my mind I was thinking, the landscaping work will look as terrible as everything else he has done. In any event, he could've said...I don't want to do that....I don't know how to do that.....I don't want to spend more money on your job.....whatever, just don't avoid a direct question. My guess is that he didn't know how do to do the work or he didn't want to put more money into our job bc he was already paid too much and he knew we were not going to give him any more $$$$! I am getting my landscape bed completed by a professional company and our yard will need to be graded correctly. I am currently getting quotes. I will stop there as I could go on and on...we have so many issues. I hope at least one person reads this and makes an educated decision based on my experience with this company. If you are interested in work on your home, I can make excellent recommendations for people who have corrected Robs mistakes and have done excellent work for us. Please learn from our mistake. I will update this post if anything changes, good or bad. I will also add more pics if I can.

Two gentlemen arrived on time to install closet shelving. Worked room by room and installed per agreed upon design. Cleaned up after themselves. One door in the master was not the proper one. The correct one was delivered the following week. Overall, a very good experience.

Mr. Elias and his crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend them. Not only is their work excellent, they left the job site cleaner than it was when they came. Mr. Elias made certain that I understood exactly what to expect throughout the process.
