 + -1 moreOnce we were contacted by the owner after the tabletops were completed, we went to his shop to pick up the glass. Although the resultant glass for the coffee table was not perfect, the glass for the entertainment center waws nowhere close to fitting properly. The owner came to out house to pick up and take that piece of glass back to his shop and have it redone. After two unsuccessful tries to properly cut the glass, he agreed to refund the cost of the glass (approximately half of the total bill). Still needing the glass for the entertainment center before Christmas, we traced our own template for the glass (something the owner of Acme seemed unable to do) and took it to another glass maker. Not only did the second company provide us with a perfectly cut piece of glass, but they charged less than half of what Acme had charged. Obviously, Acme had charged us Cadillac prices for substandard work. We highly recommend going elsewhere.
Description of Work: We placed an order for glass tabletops for two end tables, one coffee table, and one entertainment center shelf. The Acme owner came to our house to trace the items to properly cut the glass. We stressed that we needed the glass by Christmas, since we were having company. He said that he could have them completed by then.

 + -1 moreKNOWLEDGABLE, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT, HAPPY WITH THE PRICE (PLEASE FIX THE TYPO IN THE NAME OF THE COMPANY - IT IS ACME GLASS & MIRROR).
Description of Work: I HAD A PIECE OF GLASS I WANTED CUT. I HAD REPLACED MY OVER-THE-STOVE MICROWAVE AND IT WAS LARGER THAN THE OLD ONE. I USED THE GLASS TO PROTECT THE WALL FROM STOVE SPLATTERS. THE LOCAL HARDWARE STORE RECOMMENDED ACME GLASS. THE LADY THERE SAID THERE WAS A CHANCE THE GLASS MIGHT BREAK. IT WAS CUT PERFECTLY FOR $7.00 WHILE I WAITED. IT ONLY TOOK A FEW MINUTES. SHE SAID IT WOULD HAVE COST ABOUT $20. TO GET THE SIZE I WANTED IF I HADN'T HAD MY OWN PIECE OF GLASS.
