AAA Flexible Pipe Cleaning

I've had AAA do two other sections of my basement and underground drainage system in previous years. This was the last, and biggest phase. We always had water coming in the north side of the basement. Once wall was excavated, found out why: concrete coating on outside of wall did not extend all the way up to top row of clay-block foundation, and the mortar had been destroyed by years of water intrusion. These guys do a great job, very thorough and correct work, no shortcuts, always clean up the job site, answer questions, and George always checks in daily while the work is being done. There's no way I'm going to get water through that wall any more! They were also very fair in the added cost to repair my interior basement wall--he couldn't give an estimate on that until they excavated the outer wall to make sure there was no damage there. The interior repair was only a small amt. of additional money, ditto for the door threshold which had rotted and had to be replaced. I can't say enough good about this company!

After we saw the video of the drains, we found out that the work that was needed contradicted what another company quoted us. We saved thousands of dollars because of AAA Pipe Cleaning. They were very good to deal with. They were professional and punctual. I will definitely use their services in the future if needed.

They were really great from start to finish. He came right out to look at the job right after I called. I received another quote and felt that this company would go the extra mile. He went out of his way to look up the pipe records from many years ago. They were there everyday and worked hard. I am very happy with this company and the work that they performed.

George and his men did quick, excellent work. As other list members have discussed, the work was quoted and performed in stages to try to save us money.

I had my basement drain overflow after taking a shower. The water did not recede for several hours. I called George from AAA Pipe Cleaning right away, as they had done a lot of drainage work at my house previously and I knew they handled this type of problem. George said he'd send his crew over right away the next morning. After running a lot of water down this drain, flushing toilets, etc., they determined my main sewer line, under the basement floor, was likely plugged and not draining properly to the street. They dug down under the floor and found a lot of water seeping out around the pipe, opened the pipe up and snaked it, finding it plugged with roots. They installed a new PVC access so it can be cleaned out in the future, filled the hole with stone and sealed it with new concrete. I was very happy that they were able to handle this emergency situation the very next day so we didn't have to worry about using the shower, etc. George and his crew are the best! I'd never hire anyone else for a sewer, a downspout drain problem or basement water problem.

Pete from the company was very amicable and professional. I didn't get a new estimate for the work until all of it was done and the bill was significantly higher than the original estimate. It was OK, because they saved me $ by really working to cut the roots from the sewer line, rather than excavating. The problem came later when another plumber came out to re-seat 1st floor toilet. He said there was a root ball in the sewer line obstructing it. AAA came out a second time to do the SAME line as before, but in opposite direction. They initially wanted to charge me $100 for the 1.5 hours of work, which was not horrible - but then said needed to come back to take toilet off & snake the other way, because they couldn't get it. NET NET - weren't able to finish the job, charged me an additional $200 anyway - and didn't replace the wax seal that they damaged when they unseated toilet. I was irate when I called and the owner argued with me about everything as if I was an idiot.

Even though the drain had worked adequately for many months, all of a sudden it was totally blocked. No amount of "snaking" would clear it because the drainpipe was filled with grout and cement that had solidified. How that happened remains a mystery. The plumber, Pete, figured that out pretty quickly and said he would have to bust up the cement floor to get at it and determine how much pipe would need to be removed. He did that, put in new pipe, refilled the hole and covered it up with cement. Very nice job. Finished that day as they said they would. Very professional. Good clean-up. It took six hours. We then had them snake the lines from the street to the house just in case there was anything else. I thought it cost more than it should but I'd probably say that about any plumber.

George was very good to work with, in explaining exactly what would be done, and why we were doing it. Rather than having me commit to a huge job all at once, we proceeded in phases because one phase depended on how much did or didn't need to be done in the earlier phase. This helped save me money. The work took two weeks and the digging had to be done by hand due to the tight spaces and location of gas line. I found out that previous supposed drain cleanouts by Roto-Rooter were probably ineffective since the drain pipes were broken underground and clogged with mud and roots. There's no way that water had been running through them any time in the recent past yet I had paid for several Roto-Rooter snakings over the years. AAA also worked with the city on permits and inspections of the work. One minor glitch was that a downspout wasn't completely fastened when the work was done, but they did return to fix it. I plan to hire them to do another section in the spring.

Very good job. Came on a Saturday within three hours of phone call, worked both outside the house and in the basement, service people were pleasant and effective and provided very clear explanations.

This company has done a lot of work for me since 1987 and it has never failed me.

Was friendly, but didn't get the job done. Said the block must be below the basement floor and quote $1250 to dig up the basement. Another company came the next day (Saturday) and unblocked it for $320. The blockage was frozen and was well above the basement floor. Had AAA open the pipe at the basement, they would have seen that this was the case.

Work was done very professionally. Other companies told me they could come out in a week. AAA was out the next day. Would hire again.

Provided same-day service for no extra fee, arrived on-time, and called me to notify me they were on the way. They did the job professionally and well.

RAY DID A VERY NICE JOB. NO LEAKS, CLEAN PIPE WORK, & THE FAUCET WORKS GREAT. PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE COMPARED TO OTHERS. WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.

MY INITIAL CALL WAS RETURNED IN A TIMELY FASHION EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A SATURDAY. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE FOLLOWING MORNING. THE SERVICE PERSON WAS ABLE TO ARRIVE EARLIER THAN ANTICIPATED AND I RECEIVED A CALL TO VERIFY THAT IT WAS OK TO COME EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED. ANOTHER APPOINTMENT HAD TO BE SCHEDULED FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY SO I COULD GO OUT AND PURCHASE NEW FIXTURES. THE SERVICE PERSON SEEMED KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DISCUSSED THE OPTIONS WITH ME. I WAS SHOWN THE OLD PARTS TO CONFIRM THAT THIS WAS, IN FACT, THE PROBLEM. VERY ACCOMMODATING TO MY WORK SCHEDULE. THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED EFFECTIVELY.

EXCELLENT SERVICE AT AN EXCELLENT PRICE. SOME OTHER ESTIMATES I GOT WERE MORE THAN TWICE THE PRICE. THE WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME AND WERE POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED QUICKLY AND TO A HIGH STANDARD. WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN FOR ANY WATER/SEWER WORK.

ED ACTUALLY ARRIVED EARLY AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. HE GAVE US ADVICE AND THE ESTIMATE FOR THE FURTHER WORK WE NEED, SUGGESTING SEVERAL WAYS TO KEEP COSTS DOWN AND STILL BRING THE WORK TO CODE.

THE CONTRACT STATED MONEY ON COMPLETION, BUT DEMANDED BEFORE BEGINNING. AGREED TO COORDINATE WITH OTHER CONTRACTOR, BUT FAILED. REMOVED 6' RHODODENDRON THAT WE WERE TOLD WOULDN'T BE IN WAY. 4' X 30'X 1 1/2' DEPRESSION NOT FILLED WITHOUT MULTIPLE CALLS. EXTREMELY RUDE. SENT CEMENT TRUCK TWICE WITH PRIOR WORK NOT COMPLETED WITHOUT INFORMING ME. PLACED LOPSIDED, NARROW SIDEWALK. DIDN'T DO BACK DRAINS UNTIL AFTER FRONT COMPLETED & ASKED 5 TIMES. BACK DRAINS NEVER DRAINED WELL. PLACED BLUE & GREEN PIPES INSTEAD OF WHITE DOWNSPOUT TO SOIL LEVEL. LEFT LARGE CHUNKS OF CONCRETE-5 X 5 X 10" LARGEST DIMENSION, BRICK, ROCK, GRAVEL, AND CALLED IT "CLAY". I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE REMOVED, BUT THEY REFUSED. STATED THEY WOULD REMOVE 6" DEPTH, BUT ONLY REMOVED TO 1" DEPTH. REPEATEDLY DEMAND MONEY WITH WORK

A PERSON ACTUALLY ANSWERED THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED COMPARED TO AN ANSWERING MACHINE. SOMEONE CALLED ME BACK WITHIN 2 HOURS TO SET UP A TIME ON THAT SAME DAY. THE EMPLOYEE WAS PUNCTUAL AND POLITE. HE INFORMED ME THAT MY PROBLEM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY SEWER.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. TOOK TIME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. MADE SUGGESTIONS REGARDING DRAINS IN THE GARAGE THAT I HAD QUESTIONS ABOUT. ALSO RECOMMENDED HAVING THIS DONE EVERY TWO OR THREE YEARS BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF ROOTS THEY PULLED OUT. SAID IT PROBABLY WASN'T NECESSARY TO HAVE IT DONE YEARLY.

THIS WAS THE FOURTH COMPANY I HAD OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE. FELT AS THOUGH THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT. THEY ALSO HAD TO UNTANGLE A MESS OF PIPES LEADING UP TO THE THIRD FLOOR THAT A PLUMBER HAD INSTALLED DURING A SECOND FLOOR BATHROOM REMODELING 15 YEARS AGO. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY DID.

PROMPT AND HARD WORKING. ATTACKED PROBLEMS ONE STEP AT A TIME, VERY CONSCIENTIOUS TO FIX THE SITUATION, BUT ALSO NOT TO OVER CHARGE ON THE JOB. GEORGE (THE FOREMAN) IS VERY EXPERIENCED AND HAS A GOOD RAPPORT WITH HIS CREW. THE WORK SITE WAS LEFT CLEAN AND SAFE EACH EVENING.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, ALTHOUGH I HAD TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING THE GUYS WHO ACTUALLY DID THE WORK, DUE TO THEIR ACCENTS. ALSO, ONE OF THE GUYS THAT DID THE WORK TRIED TO SELL ME SEVERAL SERVICES THAT HE WOULD OFFER SEPARATE FROM UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF AAA, I FOUND THIS TO BE EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. THE MAIN COMPANY CONTACT THAT GAVE THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY, AND COURTEOUS. MY BASEMENT HARDLY LEAKS AT ALL SINCE THEY CLEANED OUT THE 2 DRAIN PIPES, THEY PULLED OUT TONS OF ROOTS FROM THEM.

PROMPT AND HARDWORKING. MADE SOME SUGGESTIONS CONCERNING DRAIN SYSTEM.

THEY RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO MY EMERGENCY SITUATION AND STAYED WITH THE JOB. GEORGE TOLD THEM TO DO IT RIGHT AND TO NOT CUT ANY CORNERS. NICK SEEMED TO BE THE LEAD WORKER AND INVESTED IN DOING THE JOB PERFECTLY. I AM VERY PLEASED.
