They were ok. I think they did a good job. We have a two level home and the lower level continues to stay cold and he advised me that we need to insulate the first floor. The upper level I can see but the ground level continues to stay cold. I only got my attic insulated.

We selected A & J after receiving 3 other estimates. The bid was not the lowest, but we were impressed by Noel's knowledge. Noel helped us navigate the state's rebate program for weatherization. He reviewed the energy auditor's report and performed the recommended work in one day.

Went well. Guys worked hard and long. Was slightly disappointed in the cold air insulation because even though the work was performed, I believe it could have been performed better and with more accuracy.

I got a call canceling the appointment that I had scheduled two weeks in advance less than 20 minutes before the representative was scheduled to arrive, due to a broken-down truck. The person I spoke with said that he would call back to reschedule. After a week during which I heard nothing from A&J, I called them back. The same person answered the phone and had no idea what I was talking about. He didn't remember my name or address or what the job was. He asked me if it had to do with the truck breaking down. He was unfriendly, unapologetic, and told me it would be fine if I found someone else to do the project. So, maybe A&J does nice work if you can get them to keep an appointment and remember what it is about, and you don't mind the rude phone manners, but I am unimpressed and disappointed.

I received a few estimates to address issues found in my home during an energy audit. Noel's gave me a very fair quote for the materials and work required for the job. Two crews arrived on time and got to work right away. They protected the floors and furniture, did a walk-thru with me and reviewed the work that they were going to do. They had me look at the attic areas and the work that they did before they sealed up the accesses. They did a great job cleaning up too. It appears that they have addressed all the issues brought to light from an energy audit I had in July. A blower door test was done before and after the job to help gauge the improvement. The work contract was detailed and straight forward. I even ran it by an attorney for verification. It was a pleasure doing business with this company.

I was very please with the work they did. They cleaned up after themselves. We had a communication problem at first, but it ended up being done correctly. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

Noel was prompt in calling, coming to give a quote and getting the job done. The crew were a super nice bunch of guys that were very helpful in every way. Chris pointed out an issue in my roof that I would have never known about and also put up a roof tile for me that had fallen down without even asking. He was not here to do my roof but when he was on it doing my vents he went above and beyond to help me and let me know. They were all very conscious of my house and plants in my yard and cleaned up. Great price and I did get other quotes. Also Noel was more knowledgeable that the other companies I contacted and he offered solutions to my problems. Thanks Noel and Crew.. Smooth job and now we have a warm attic :)

They were very good. They were prompt to respond and had excellent customer service. They cleaned up afterwards. They were really nice. It was a good value.

We were impressed with Noel from the beginning because out of three estimates he was the only person to actually go up and look at the attic space. His crew arrived when he said they would and were here most of the day. They did a reasonable job cleaning up. There was some debris outside but it was a windy day and hard to catch everything. Overall we were pleased with the job.

Overall, it went smoothly from start to finish. The owner of AJ Insulation had a spirit that gave the feeling that he trusted his client. Unlike what I experienced with 2 other companies, never was there doubt implied in speech or manners about receiving payment.

It went very well. Noel was very professional and courteous, answering all questions without pressuring us in any way after giving us an estimate. We had the work done 4 months after our estimate and they were on time, respectful of our property, did it in a fair amount of time and cleaned up after the job was done. We are very pleased and would highly recommend them to all interested in insulating their homes.

Noel and his workers struck me as ?all business.? At the estimate, he spent less time looking around the house or being friendly with me than other contractors, just was getting the job done. Perhaps because of this, his estimate came in hundreds lower than two others I had gotten. He also seemed to have a ton of experience, for example he was the only contractor who knew that my house would almost certainly have completely solid headers above the windows (and thus not need anything blown in there), which turned out to be true. We had to wait a little longer than Noel initially said to get the work scheduled & done, but they were always prompt to return phone calls. When the date arrived, the workers were on time, professional, and the whole job was finished in a day. They left a few little things to clean up, and there were a couple little mistakes ? for example they used white silicone sealer instead of clear on one board, which looks a little funny ? but the overall quality looked like solid, expert work, just quickly done.

They are excellent. He was on time. The estimate they gave me was right on target. They were thorough and clean. They finished the work in a timely fashion. They did everything they said they would do. I have recommended them to several people including my daughter. They arrive on time and clean up. They even start the job by explaining what they are going to do thoroughly.

this was to be a one day job with 2 crews, one doing insulation in the attic and the other doing it thru the walls of the house..all went well except one of the interior walls developed cracks due to the pressure of the insulation hoses..A&J took care of this with no problem..it did take about a week..they replaced part of the interior wall, sanded, primed and painted an it looks like nothing happened..so while there was a little problem,,they jumped right on it and completed the work as quickly as possible..they obviously earn all the A's they have received.

Noel and his team were on time and did what they quoted. The blower door test revealed that the indirect lighting cans in the second floor ceiling needed to be sealed, which was taken care of. My only complaint is lack of care when handling the insulation, leaving a few messes. Loose insulation spilled around the attic hatch inside our linen closet was not cleaned up. Also, when I turned on the air conditioning for the first time after the insulation work was done, some loose insulation was blown out of one of the diffusers in the second floor ceiling. This was not serious, just annoying. Adding insulation greatly improved the heat balance in my house. Before insulating, the upstairs would be 3 degrees colder than the first floor. After insulating, both areas are the same temperature. During the Summer months, the upstairs stays cooler longer.

It went well, they came out when they said they would and worked hard for half a day until they finished. Clean up was good. We are very happy as our upstairs is now warm in winter and, hopefully, cooler in summer. If I'd known about this before, I'd have done this years ago. Also, A&J sent out an invoice early this year with the cost of materials so we could get a break on our income tax. They sent it out without our even asking. Top notch company.

Noel is extremely knowledgeable about insulating homes and his product; he made my decision very easy. His crew was on time, courteous and acted professionally. My only suggestion is to invest in a vacuum cleaner to utilize during the clean up process; some excess insulation was left behind.

They were satisfactory at the time, but I called them back to tell them that one part of the roof was warmer. I thought something more was needed. I have called them three times and they have never called me back. They were good when doing the work. They were clean, prompt, and quick to come out for the estimate. We didn't have to wait for the service.

I?ll give credit because he took a look at everything and said that there wasn?t much that he could do. His honest opinion was that he wouldn?t invest in anything so I appreciated that.

I used A&J 3 years ago when they blew insulation into the sidewalls and attic of my house. At the time, they proved to be hard working and very reasonably priced. Three years later, I decided to get a quote from them for the crawlspace. Again, the quote that I got was very reasonable and Noel came out to the house to discuss the process and set my expectations. I hit them during their busy period but the work was completed about 6 weeks after the quote, and that was acceptable to me. This company is easy to work with and they honored my $100 Angie's list discount. No mess and they cleaned up and transported some old plastic and insulation away. I have recommended this company to friends in the past and I will continue to do so.
