DART PROPERTY IMPROVEMENTS

Terrible. the resource sent to work on our house did very poor work. the "office" folk were unresponsive. Called our realtor and they called them; to which we finally got a call back. Further follow up's, calls, and emails were ignored and/or not worth the effort to chase after them to get the work completed. Wouldn't hire these folks to clean my toilet.

This company was recommended by my realtor and a check was made out to them for my flue pipe extension, when I contacted them it took them 3 days to respond to a text I was told to send and then they scheduled my flue pipe extension for today, but never gave a time. When the worker arrived today he was very unprofessional, had just woken up and had on shorts and flip flops in his own personal vehicle, with no equipment knowing he would have to get on top of the roof. He then uses our garbage can to climb on top of our patio almost ripping off our gutters trying to pull himself up. After he left I then contacted Tim, to express how I felt about the unprofessionalism, he acted as if it was no big deal and even laughed about it. I then told him that I would like to cancel the job and he cussed me out on the phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I advised my realtor not to use Dart Home Improvements in the future.

They did good work. They were timely in completion. They have a wide range of skills. Good work they could have delighted me more with better cleanup.

He gave a really low estimate (about $1200 for everything) after he "finished" repairs we had our inspector go back through to make sure everything was done up to snuff. A couple of things were done very well, some were done incredibly badly and many things were left completely untouched. Our inspector even spoke with the repair man at the company and told him that the bath tub fitting was still leaking. So we had our second inspection which again failed, the company was sent back out to fix things, some things were repaired adequately, and again some things weren't touched at all. We had the inspector come back out, (this time the realtor paid for the reinspection) Everything was done except that our new electric meter was incorrectly updated and needed to be moved outside. We had to push back our closing over a month. They failed to get a permit for the electric meter from the city in a timely manner, and we were forced to close on the house before everything was signed off by with DP&L (we would have been homeless in a week if we hadn't closed when we did.) At the end of the day, the seller ended up paying over $5000 for all the repairs that were quoted at $1200. Dont waste your time hiring the company, they will try to get away with doing as little as possible, and even ignoring things they expect you to overlook.

Tim provided a detailed estimate ahead of time and did everything he said he would. The prices seemed a little high, but this is the first time we have had work done since we moved to Ohio. We trust Tim and would call on him again (and with an old house, we certainly will need his help again soon!). However, before we hired Tim to do the work, he provided written estimates for repairs on another house we considered buying in addition to this house. His professional assessment helped us in our buying decision and we were grateful for his time and expertise.

They gave me a list of things that did, which they didn't. He broke the mechanism to put the window back up. He said he wasn't able to find the maker of the window, though it's listed on the glass. They were supposed to cover their shoes, which they didn't. They got my carpet dirty. He didn't fix the rust damage from the breaker box. I looked at the water heater and he didn't install anything. I just wanted them out of my house. He was such a jerk. At the end, one of the other workers went out to his car. Another worker told me he does work on the side outside of the company and told me he could come back if he wanted me to do anything. I noticed the reply from Dart. This issue took place in Ohio but since we are members in Florida (our 2nd home) we posted it where we could. He most certainly was at our home in Miamisburg Ohio and I stand by the review 100%.
