BLACKETER WINDOWS

I couldn't be happier with the results. The windows turned out great! The price was right. Blacketer owners and employees were very professional and courteous during installation. Every effort was made to make sure we were satisfied.

When they removed the windows in the condo they found that the window sills were rotting due to moisture.  They immediately called us to let us know they window sills should also be replaced.  That day they went to the hardware store to get the materials for the new window sills and charged us almost nothing to replace them.  They look 100% better than they did before.  Some of the plaster around the windows cracked when they removed the old windows.  They made sure to patch the walls everywhere this occurred.  When they replaced the sliding glass door they reframed if entirely, making sure the job was done right. 
With our other home we upgraded to triple pain windows due to the amount of wind and weather that hits the rear of our home.  With our old windows you could hear and feel the wind coming through. The cost of upgrade between double and triple pain was almost nothing and I never would have thought about it without the owner suggesting that option.  Since these windows have been installed I can't hear anything outside of the house without opening a window or door.  They also went above and beyond by fixing a piece of our siding that had started to fall out of place, and patching a hole in the siding where I am sure my son hit the house with a baseball. 
Both times they arrived promptly, using drop clothes anywhere they went in the house, starting at the front door.  Both jobs took two days as promised.  They reinstalled all blinds, cleaned and vacuumed everything before they left each day.  The owner himself was there with the crew working during the installation.  Everyone was incredibly professional.  This is absolutely the best company I have ever dealt with.  We will eventually be replacing our front door and I won't call anyone else!

The crew arrived about 8:30 am on Thursday like anticipated.  After applying the drop cloths they began removing the old windows.  They noticed that the J channel on the windows had been installed incorrectly.  We got our paperwork from the siding that had been done 11/2 years ago.  Blacketer took the number of the color and checked to see where they could get new J channel,  A crew member drove to Lowe's and purchased it for us.  Then they installed new J channel on the rear windows.  The J channel on the front of the house had been done properly.  They only charge us $200 for all of the extra work of purchasing and replacing the J channel!!!!!  The sliders were anticipated to arrive on Friday morning, early.  The crew arrived at 8:30 am as expected.  Due to unforseen problems that were not Blacketer's fault,  the sliders did not arrive until 2:30 pm.  The crew hung out all day until the sliders arrived and finished installing the door.  The job was complete by 6:00pm.
Blacketer is a great company.  The crew is not contracted out, which means that they have a lot of experience in installing replacement windows.  They were polite and friendly.  We were so happy with them that we sent them a gift from Cheryl's cookie company to enjoy.  I do not recall ever sending a company a gift of appreciation for the great work that was done!!!  I would highly recommend them to anyone considering replacement windows.
