We had multiple companies give estimates on both slab-jacking and foam leveling. We decided to use A-1 because they could do both but recommended the slab-jacking because of the type of work and the price. They did not try to upsell us on a more expensive process that the job did not require. Beware of foam levelers trying to convince you that the added weight of the material used in slab-jacking is an issue. This is a scare tactic. We chose A-1 because they guarantee their work and Clay and his crew were knowledgeable, experienced and did everything that they said they were going to do from bid to completion of work. The walks look great and the area was tidy when they left.

Had a quote in June; told us then they are backed up several weeks, approximately six weeks. We had no problem waiting because I figure if they are backed up that is because they are known for doing good work. Once they got to us on the list, they arrived early, did exactly what they estimated, cleaned up the area, leaving the place looking better than when they arrived. Very courteous and professional, non-nonsense workers. I will have them back if I need more work accomplished.

A-1 leveled the broken corners of my driveway where it met my garage. They did the job the same day that they gave me the estimate. They did a decent job although the cracks left were larger than I had hoped for but the corners were raised back up where they needed to be. So, it was an OK job. I also had a broken concrete spot near my front door. I was told that they could not level it and a new section of sidewalk would have to be poured. He said that he would check on the codes in Beavercreek and give me an estimate for doing that. I also had them raise the corner of my back patio. However, in process of doing that they broke my concrete slab. So they raised it but broke it. At the time A-1 did my work, I learned that the Father had heart by-pass or some kind of surgery and apparently the Son was taking the lead. The Son said that they use agricultural lime (not concrete) mixed into a slurry with water to level the concrete. He expressed unhappiness with the lime that he had as it had too many solids and not enough fines. He felt that it wasn't lifting as it should. When it did not lift my patio as I wanted, they applied a jack on the outer corner along with pumping the lime. It appeared to me that the jack may have applied more pressure than the pumped lime and it appeared that is what broke my patio slab. I expressed my unhappiness to the Son and he admitted that he wasn't happy with it either. He said that if I wasn't happy with it and if it didn't't drain properly that he would give me a good price along with the other estimate to take out the slab and re-pour it as well. I also asked for an estimate to re-pour the street curb at the end of my driveway. I never received any of those estimates or heard from them again. Based upon my mixed results from them, I decided that I wasn't sure that I wanted to deal with them again and did not pursue the estimate from them.

A-1 Concrete Leveling was contacted by the contractor we were utlizing on a repair project in our home. The main contractor did a poor job of communicating the time frame for project completion. Because of that, we were worried the floor leveling would not be able to be done in time to align with the rest of the project. The indivduals we spoke with at A-1 were able to fit us into their schedule at the last minute. The team was prompt and curteous to us, despite the obvious frustration with the overall project management. The only complaint would be with the clean up effort. The team did not do a good job of staying tidy while in the house (handprints on the walls and front door were found when they left) and unfortuantely, cleaned off their tools on our driveway and in the front yard. We were able to remove the concrete debris after some power washing.
Description of Work: We utilized this provider as a subcontractor on a larger project we were having done. Becuase of this, we had no insight into the cost of this particular portion of the effort. However, we were very pleased wtih the quality of work and the amount of attention they were able to pay to our particular project.
