My Air Conditioner compressor went out the evening of 7/23. I noticed on Angie's list that they were the only one with Sunday hours in my vicinity and called at 9:30 on 7/24. I never thought I would get help quickly during one off the hottest days of the year but by 11:30 Steve was at our house and fixed the problem quickly and instead of trying to sell us s new unit, told me I had 5 years left. Wingate is my new go to people

Michael called before he arrived at our appointment and was even 10 minutes early. Seemed very knowledgeable and professional. Wore shoe covers before entering. Explained what service he performed and gave us an assessment of overall condition of the system. Very pleased with the service provided and would definitely use again.

Wingate is a top-notch company who goes above and beyond for their customers! We have been without AC for 8 weeks thanks to our no good, useless, incompetent home warranty company!! But Wingate was with us every step of the way and to say they went above and beyond to help us, isn't enough! He found out Freon leaking and told me a separate appointment is needed for the filling the freon and for leak repair. I made follow up call for further information, the representative suppose to leave message and let the technician call me back, two days past, I haven't heard any call back yet and still waiting to hear from him. Overall he did a good job.

Their Service was EXCELLENT!!!!! Our A/C was blowing warm air. My husband called Wingate Mechanical and a service rep, BRETT, was at our door within the hour. We used an Angie's list deal for the service. We bought 2 since we had 2 units. There was a misunderstanding with those when he came to do the cleaning (they didn't realize there were 2), but he was polite and we quickly sorted it out. He showed me some things and answered my questions.

Wingate Mechanical called prior to arrival, my technician Michael, was professional, friendly and friendly. He went above and beyond by explaining minor maintenance that I should do to my system. He was took his time and was very thorough with his inspection. Thanks Wingate, you are my service provider forever.

I have a Bryant gas furnace which is 18 years old so I was worried they might try to sell me a new furnace. Instead Steve told me everything was in working order after he performed the maintenance. I had been using a large HVAC company for the last 17 years when my furnace gave up the ghost. The organization was huge and the culture had changed to a "sell them a new furnace after eight years no matter what" philosophy. Fortunately, I had used the same technician for over 10 years who was ethical and didn't subscribe to their suggested business practices. When my furnace died, I decided it was time for change. As such, I reviewed Angie's List providers and had the privilege of meeting Chris Wingate of Wingate Mechanical. What a refreshing experience to receive a wide range of estimates with a no pressure approach. The company's focus is on customer service and it is demonstrated from the top down. My experience was both professional and personal. Mr Wingate took all the time I needed to answer questions, review my existing system , assess my needs, and offer options that were appropriate to my needs. He was never belittling or arrogant as he educated me on the changes in equipment that have taken place over the last 17 years.He never tried to oversell me on the top of the line systems. He made his recommendations based on my expressed need. This is how business should be done and can be done. The big companies would benefit from Mr Wingate teaching them a class on customer service, business ethics, and customer appreciation. If your feeling like your waiting for the hammer to fall each time your hvac (you could also say havoc) agency visits and you start regretting the visit more than a trip to your dentist's office, call this company for a refreshing change of pace. They offer no pressure, an appreciation for your business, and honest answers. My experience was reminiscent of positive business ethics that have long gone by. Don't be held prisoner like I was for 17 years, call this company for an honest assessment and a positive experience. Mr Wingate, thanks for restoring some integrity to the industry and for your time to consider my family's needs.

The boiler in my home had originally been installed by Company A only 1 year ago...and they did a terrible job and it started malfunctioning this year. Company B came in to diagnose, and said that due to the poor installation, the burner and heat exchanger were both ruined and the only option they saw was to replace the boiler again. They estimated cost of $11,500 to replace. I came to Wingate Mechanical looking for a second opinion, and they happen to have extensive history with the make/model of my boiler. They disassembled the boiler, cleaned the components, put it back together and gave me a list of repairs that would be needed to fix the installation issues. I agreed to have the repairs made, and the boiler is working great and should now be good for the foreseeable future. I appreciated the honesty, the professionalism and the care taken by the Wingate team. I was given pictures of the components when they were removed and they followed up a couple days later to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. I will not hesitate to call them the next time I have boiler (or Air Conditioner) needs.

I called two HVAC companies asking to make a Saturday appointment and was told not possible. Using Angie?s List, using the SCHEDULE NOW feature, I started sending out requests for help on a Saturday since I could not miss work during the week. Within a few minutes I received an e-mail from Chris Wingate and schedule an appointment for Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. Chris was very knowledgeable, answered every question and provided a couple options to minimize installation cost. Although I have not yet decided on the contractor or boiler model I will go with, I didn?t want to lose further time giving a shout out for Wingate Mechanical LLC! I purchase a big deal HVAC package from Wingate after our air conditioning unit went out. Chris came out and verified that what we needed was consistent with what the package offered and was able to install the unit within the week before it got hot again. During the install, some plumbing and duct work issues were found and they were able to come out and fix those within a couple of days as well. I would have preferred that they did not charge me again for a service call fee and just the repari, but it was plumbing work and not part of the original package. We did have an issue with a lot of air coming out of the unit where a pipe was connected. Chris was very responsive about the issue and made sure someone came out to fix it. They did a great job for a great price.

Steve was very professional and friendly. He explained the process of cleaning the boiler. I have had several people over the years take care of the boiler but Steve was far and away the most thorough serviceperson. He drained the expansion tank ( which other companies did not do) and cleaned up after he serviced the boiler. He was pleasant and I felt confident that choosing Wingate was the best possible choice. I will continue to use Wingate Mechanical for any future plumbing needs. This is an excellent company because of their professionalism and technical knowledge.

One month later my A/C stopped working. I called Wingate Mechanical LLC to come take a look. My A/C is under manufacturer's warranty for 5 years (it was purchased in 2013). They found an issue that was not reported in their initial check up. They ended up charging an additional $194 for the service call and part (single pole contractor $125). They also removed a sticker that was placed by another service provider. Unprofessional and unethical. UPDATE: Yesterday (8/28) I received a check from Windgate covering the $125 for the part that they replaced, as it seems they have confirmed that this was under in fact under warranty. They messaged me to inquire about removing my review, which I felt was fair but I still wanted to preserve the original review to outline the entire experience. I admire that the company has reached out and made some efforts to redeem the situation, unfortunately on measures that likely should have been taken in the first place as again they should have looked into the warranty.

The work went flawlessly! We actually needed a new furnace and air conditioning unit. The furnace in my house was over 35 years old and was very inefficient. Two employees from Wingate came to my house and had the system installed in one day. They had to come back a second day to finish up some minor details. The guys who did the installation were awesome! They communicated with me throughout the entire process. I was so impressed with there service, I will never use another Heating/Air Conditioning company. You will not be disappointed if you hire Wingate Mechanical, LLC. LOVE LOVE LOVE the product and the service.

Our bathroom drain has been backing up for a few weeks. We called Wingate and they were able to come out the same day. They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They stuck to the advertised price and did not try to up sell us. I am very happy and will use Wingate again.

This is my first time using Wingate but they have treated me like a long-time customer. I called with an urgent repair and a limited timeframe for them to come as I was leaving town that day. They fit me into their schedule that day and completed the repair before I had to leave. I like that fact that when I call I am put in touch with a technician so I can explain the problem in detail and make an appointment directly with him. The technician was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He explained the problem, showed me exactly what was being repaired and then the repaired piece once he was done. We will be using Wingate to service my main air conditioner as well.

Chris was very professional, at no time did I feel pressured while he was at my home. He showed up promptly and eager to get to work. No sales gimmicks.

We initially contacted him due to the HVAC fan not operating properly. He found 2 blown fuses in the outside service panel and performed an overdue service on my unit. I found him to be courteous, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. His prices were extremely reasonable and there was no attempt to overcharge, oversell or perform services that were not needed. As a senior citizen that is really refreshing. There is no question that Wingate Mechanical will be the provider of choice for our HVAC needs and will be the one we refer to friends / neighbors should the need arise. Another satisfied customer on both fronts - Angie's List does it again!
