Windows Direct USA of Cincinnati

We had four 72 inch wide sliding glass windows that did not close properly and were very drafty. I wanted to replace them with double hung windows. After reviewing window companies on Angies list, I contacted Windows Direct. Frankie Carey came out to our home on Jan. 2, 2018 to provide a free estimate. He measured the windows I needed to replace and gave me several replacement options. He was not pushing any particular window, just explained the difference in quality and price. His visit was very quick and I liked the fact that he did not intend to take a long time trying to talk us into purchasing anything at all. I decided to go with a triple pane window. I paid half of the $4600 to schedule installation which would be 6 - 10 weeks away. I was contacted in early Feb. to schedule a day for installation. Chris Brown came out on 2-13-18 to do the install. He and his helper finished the install by the end of the day and I paid him the balance due. The windows look and operate much better than the replacement windows put in 19 years ago. Chris was very respectful taking his shoes off every time he entered our home even though I told him it was not necessary. My wife noticed two of the screens had a tear in them. I pointed them out to Chris. Someone came out in a few days and repaired the screens in just a few minutes. Everyone I had contact with at Windows Direct were pleasant to deal with.

I liked that I could go to their location to see window samples and get an explanation without a hard sell. Family-owned company, showroom is homey and office staff are friendly. Pricing was the most affordable compared to estimates of similar quality/type windows from three other companies. I ordered and paid for triple pane but windows shipped in were double pane. While somewhat inconvenient, it didn't bother me too much - I am usually forgiving of mistakes because we all make them. I prefer to judge people on how they follow up on their mistakes, and this company earned an A in that department! They rectified the situation without question and with lots of integrity. It really impressed me, and I definitely will hire them again when I am ready to install my next set of replacements.

We were happy with the price, quality, and speed of installation. Customer service and communication with scheduling was also very good. The only negative was some mess and broken glass left behind outside, but we were overall happy with the process. We were especially glad that the installation was done in less than 8 hours and on a Saturday which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend to others.

Window design, removed and replacement windows went very well. They were on time and quick; however, they cleanup up after themselves and did not cut out on quality.

The service Rep kept his appointment on time and provided me with an example of the window that would be the replacement piece(s). He explained what needed to be removed from the frame and how the new windows would be installed. When windows arrived from manufacturer I was called and an install date established. Installers were friendly and made sure that they had clean feet before entering home. They were efficient and effective removing and preparing for install of new windows. Completed job in less than 4 hours and I could not have expected a better performance. The windows and the workers are great.

The price was within our budget. The salesman was very informative and the installers were very thorough and respectful.

They came out 6 times to correct the problem. When I called about the window, the owner did not try to make me happy as a customer, he was very arrogant. I was going to have installed the entire house windows but after 3 windows, I don't think so. Today they came out for the 6th time to correct the problem, the guys were good and very professional, they tried to make me happy as a customer. It took them 6 times to correct the problem. Whoever installed the windows the first time really messed it up. So the installers today were here today to correct the problem. A 1-day job has turned to 6 -day job. I told him that I will not recommend his company and the owner said that's fine, if that's how you feel. The new windows was supposed to make me feel that they are new when I opened them but it does not make me feel like they are new windows. The way that he talked to me was derogatory. I've used Angie's List for a long time and this is the first time I have ever run into someone like them. They fixed the problem but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I have all the documentation, I have pictures. I felt that the owner was very disrespectful to women.

The men did great work. They were on time, professional and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.

It took awhile for them to order the windows to be ordered after the measurements. They came out as soon as they got the windows It was a really good experience, they were measured will and didn't have to do an corrections. Installers were polite, friendly and let me know what was going on. Repaired a small amount of rot before on window was installed. Cleaned up both interior and exterior. I was very pleased.

Excellent from Homer coming and measuring windows and going over the different types of choices to Jermaine installing them with the upmost quality.

Excellent. The team was on time and finished in one day. Asked me if they could stay past 5:00 to finish up and give me my house back. They knocked it out, cleaned up and were gone by 7:15. Great crew polite, punctual and hard working. The price was better than we could have expected and I have had friends say they paid twice as much as us and our windows were better in his opinion. Would I recommend!! YES!

They did everything as we expected. Very satisfied with the results.

Sales person was great no high pressure sales, gave us a rough estimate when windows would be ready, they called and advised there were ready, we set up the day, installers called ahead of time and gave us ETA, they arrived within the time they said they would, got right to work very professional knew what they were doing, did a great job, very pleased with the job that they did!

Installation went fine, but did not receive the door I was expecting. Went into the showroom and showed the office manager the exact picture of the door I wanted which showed grids in the doors. Thought that is what was ordered, but received a door with no grids. I was then told, after speaking with the owner in person, that the work order stated no grids were ordered. I was never told the door comes without grids (even though the picture shows them) And I bade to order them extra which was NEVER conveyed to me. He basically said it was not their fault and if I wanted grids I would have to replace the glass already installed for an additional $950 on top of the $3,000 I already paid because it "wasn't their fault". When speaking with the owner Chris, he really didn't seem apologetic or even really care about my issue. The last conversation about this issue was from the office manager who stated I should have had a sales person come out to my home instead of ordering in the showroom because she "wasn't that knowledgeable". Even after ordering the door, I had salesman call me two times asking me if I was interested in ordering a door or Windows. Very poor communication all around. Installation was good except the drywall I side got cracked when the installer pounded out the old door and never said a word about it. Not happy!

Everything went great! From making the appointment, through the installation process. They even called after the install to see how we liked the service.

The job was done in one day and the place was left clean. The installation was great and the installer was courteous and friendly.

From the initial request for proposal, the final deal, and the installation, everything went very well. We are extremely pleased with our overall experience. The installation was very professional and the workmanship and finish look great. Thanks for a great experience, we will without question have Windows Direct back to upgrade other windows in our house when the time is right. DMW
