They charge based on the number of animals they remove; it cost us about $250. We liked them; they did a nice job and took care of the problem. The workers were fine and I will use them again in the future.

Arrived right on time. The whole thing took about 10 minutes. The bill was a bit more than the phone estimate suggested it would be. Paid cash and they kept the change. The opening was repaired with an unsightly mesh that will have to be re-repaired by another contractor, so the final cost of a tiny hole where birds get in will be pretty steep and other than climbing a ladder, it was nothing that anyone couldn't do themselves in the same 10 minutes. They also tracked in a little dirt from a muddy ladder but fortunately it was dry and didn't sink into the carpet. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, but there is no realistic reason why 10 minutes of light duty work requiring no special tools or techniques and never even coming close to touching an animal should have commanded almost 200 dollars.

Response from Wildlife Removal Services
The member made an appointment with us on February 22nd because he was having trouble with birds getting into his attic and was concerned that there was a nest present. When the appointment was set up, we quoted him $125.00 for the service call and $35.00 to $50.00 for the repair. When two of our wildlife control specialists arrived, they found the location of entry in the trim near the roof. This required the use of an extension ladder to access the hole for repair. The attic was inspected while the hole on the outside was inspected for repair. Our standard repair cost is $50.00 for this type and location of the repair. After the hole was repaired, the member was asked if he was satisfied with the work performed and he said he was. He asked how much he owed for the services and was told $175.00. This is a reasonable and standard cost for us to perform this work. And, we were up front with these costs prior to making the appointment. The member paid cash for the service and handed Jay the money folded up and thanked him. If more than $175.00 was handed to us, we miss-counted it; otherwise, we would have provided change. If the member was unhappy with any of the work performed, thought he was due change, or had concerns about the transaction in any way, he could have addressed it at the time of service, or call us afterward to work out the issues. After reading the report and realizing he was not satisfied, the office attempted to reach the member to work out a resolution, especially in regard to not receiving change. Our message has not been returned. Our customer’s satisfaction is very important to us. We hold service, integrity, and honesty to the highest standards and we offer services at fair and honest prices. We appreciate when our customers call us directly if they are not satisfied with the work or have questions about what has been done. Our record shows we rarely have customer satisfaction issues. The member did not give us a chance to address his complaint. If he would return the call, we will happily work something out. Wildlife Removal Services, Division of Suburban Wildlife Control, LLC

My daughter called in a panic while I was in Las Vegas in October. Apparently, there was a FedEx delivery while I was gone and when the driver was coming through the yard to the front door, my daughter opened the front door. She said the delivery driver had a strange look on his face and pointed to the porch. My daughter opened the door and there was a black snake on the porch sunning. We have lot's of chipmunks and what-not so apparently the food availability plus the brush accumulation made this an attractive new home for the snake. It cooled down out and so we did not see the snake for a while. Just before Thanksgiving, the snake reappeared and spent some time in our front garden. I contacted Wildlife Removal Services via email. They responded promptly and then called me to further understand the situation and give me a price quote. They also explained how their service worked and what I could expect. I told him that I was going out of town for Thanksgiving and couldn't meet them until I was back in town. We set up an appointment for the following Friday. However, while I was out of town my daughter called and said the snake decided to go out and about. I sent an email explaining that the snake was out that day and within a few hours my daughter called me to say the snake had been captured and was on it's way to a better more snake friendly place. Clearly this company is very responsive, reliable and flexible.
Description of Work: The snake was captured and taken to a safer location.

Great!! If we had the need we'd definitely call his company again!!
Description of Work: We called Wildlife Removal Services to remove a dead deer from our wooded backyard. Sunday afternoon Jay arrived and evaluated the situation. He determined that considering the decomposition, it would be better to move the deer some distance off the trail where nature could take its course...Jay could have returned with a partner on Monday to carry the deer away in his truck for @$175.00, but he offered to drag the 150 lbs. deer to our "way back" woods for $75.00. It was helpful to have the choice and that he was reasonably pricing his service. Jay was prompt and courteous.

had something digging under our front of the house. Went to Angie's List. Chose Wildlife based on their ratings, reviews and coupon. Called, made an appointment. Jay arrived as promised, told me what he would do, how much the costs would be. I approved and he set up traps. It worked: 3 possums, 1 raccoon so far. Each time I called for them to remove the trapped animal, they arrived promptly, did their job without any need for us to be involved. Their invoice arrived at an appropriate time and at exactly what was quoted. Jay is professional, articulate and effective. BRAVO!!!

Overall an "A" grade. Jay in office quoted rates and had service tech (Benjamin) call me. Benjamin called within the hour and set appointment for early afternoon. Checked problem inside (removed exhaust fan bezel to check access) and outside (inspection via outer duct cover) and indicated what his approach would be and approximate level of effort required. I agreed and he set to it. He was thorough and worked quickly to remove all of the material. He attached mesh guards across this and another duct cover for adjoining bathroom's fan. He then removed bird carcasses and nesting material and swept up. I am very satisfied.
Description of Work: Had birds in bathroom exhaust fan duct for a while; they finally stopped up the fan & we began seeing mites dropping from the next into the bathroom. Called in AM; Benjamin came out in early PM, scoped out the problem inside & outside, and we agreed on the work. Inside he removed the exhaust fan cover plate to examine problem from there. Outside, he worked carefully but smoothly to remove outer duct place, scoop out nesting material & feathers, all the way back to the fan. Placed protective mesh on the problem duct and one for the adjoining bathroom's exhaust fan duct. We agreed I'd put the inside fan housing parts back on (he made sure I knew how they'd come out originally. Price was as predicted in original phone call to set up appointment, and well worth it. Benjamin cleaned up completely outside including removing three bird carcasses and sweeping up all of the stray nest trash. I hope I never have this problem again, but I know who I'll call if I do!!

He arrived on time, plugged the holes and told me if we noticed any other activity to call him and they would come out for no additional charge.
Description of Work: We had a small bird roosting in the corner of our attic. The bird gained entrance through a gap in where our shingles joined the house corner (apparently called "short sheeted" in the industry). The technician from Wildlife removal banged on the roof to ensure no birds were still in it and plugged that hole and other corners where we had the same issue. He did not go into the attic to inspect it. He put a fine mesh in the gaps to block entrance and charged by the piece. I've used this company one other time and the technician crawled into the attic to remove the nesting material.

We began hearing odd noises in the attic, like someone was running around and bowling the length of the living room. Then one night, after my brother heard vicious snarling in the ceiling above his bed, we decided whatever was occupying the attic had to go. Jay scheduled us within 48 hours of our call. He arrived promptly and inspected the attic and the exterior house for signs of a critter. He found plenty of raccoon signs in the attic and a few places on the downspout and porch support that appeared to have been used by an animal to climb to the roof of the house. The access point was never really in dispute; the porch roof is in need of repair and the soffit had a critter-sized hole in it. That day, Jay set a cage trap in the attic, and by the next day he had caught a fairly good sized female raccoon. He took her away, baited and set the trap again just to make sure she didn't have any friends staying with her. After two more nights (and days) of empty traps and no odd noises, we decided the attic was critter free. Jay screwed a plywood cover over the hole to keep other animals from gaining access until we had time to make permanent repairs. Jay was great. He solved our problem promptly and at a fair price. What more can you ask?
Description of Work: Jay trapped and removed a raccoon that was residing in our attic. He also patched the hole in the soffit, which was the critter's entry point.

Jay is very professional and easy to deal with. Highly recommend him. We were trying to capture a large opossum living under our deck, but instead got a racoon. days of leaving the trap set revealed no opossum. We decided to remove the trap and seal off the deck with hardware cloth based on Jay's plan. So far - no more critters under the deck!

Both times, Jay responded quickly, checked traps even when i had forgotten to do so, changed traps when the initial ones proved ineffective, called regularly to check in with me, and asked about noises i might not have recognized, such as cries indicating the presence of babies. I will absolutely call again if I need to, and I'd recommend him to others.
Description of Work: Trapped raccoons in the attic & made a temporary repair of the hole. Unfortunately with the snow, ice, and recent constant rain, i'd been unable to have roofers go up to make permanent repairs, and another raccoon got in, so i called again in mid-May. So far one raccoon caught; trap will remain a few more days in case there are more.

They did an excellent job!!! We had used another animal removal company that had very little luck. John's folks came out (Ben and Jessica) and were a pleasure to work with. Even tho the squirrel entry location was very difficult to access due to our very steep roof, not once did they complain and were very reassuring and professional. They also were very effective! They put traps over the entry and exit hole and within 24 hours they had the first animal and a few days later they caught the second. Then temporary repairs were made. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs animal removal services!

Jay Harmeyer came out and located the problem, then put cages up to catch and remove the squirrels so we could have the damage repaired. It was not a quick or easy fix, and Jay hung with it until it we could have the roof repaired. It was a little more costly than I anticipated, but we did catch 5 squirrels. I believe their price is very comparable to other companies. Great service, great serviceman and a great company! I would highly recommend. I hope I don't need them again, but if I have an animal problem, I will not hesitate to call Wildlife Removal Services.

Leaving work early in the morning I heard an animal bound up the tree in my front yard. When he jumped from the tree to the roof, he turned and his little head was sillouetted against the sky. Last time I had racoons, they dug a huge hole in my upper roof - so I wasn't going to let them go this far again. Wildlife Removal came out and inspected and there was a lot of activity under the tree, so they set-up the traps. These men were very professional - if a new family of racoons tries to get in - I will call this company again.
Description of Work: Very Professional. I was very happy with this company - and they sealed the squirrel hole in the sofet. This was my third experience with Racoons.

I received a call from his wife the day after the inspection. She asked how I was and also requested that I write them an email via their web-site to confirm I wanted the work done. She explained that they could get the work done for me sooner by sending another fellow by himself to do the work over a number of days. This just seemed fishy to me and after thinking about it for a number of days, I realized this company was not for me. My gut told me to call another inspector and I did. And, I'm so glad I did. I have to say I'm feeling a little suspicious of the number of positive reports on this company. This company seems to have a very high number of reports compared to other animal removal companies. Angie's list needs to investigate.
Description of Work: I called John to request an inspection of our house ($90 for Angie's list members), due to two bats we had in our house that were removed by the local Fire Department. My overall experience with John (the owner) was not favorable. Although he was nice enough, his inspection was not as professional as I had hope for nor did it give me peace of mind. He inspected the house as well as I had myself, so I felt the money I spent on his "inspection" was a waste. He did not inspect the attic because he was not able to fit through the small opening. However, a similar sized inspector did manage to put his head through the hole to inspect the attic. In any case, after John's inspection I was still not sure if we had a bat colony in our attic. However, he suggested we place a bat door in the side of our house regardless. I just didn't have the confidence with John's inspection or work he suggested. He commented that our carpet made his job difficult because of its color suggesting he couldn't see bat droppings if there were any. He also had his wife with him who reminded him to look under my bed. It seemed that every request I made, he made some comment that made me feel that I was over-reacting. Although, in fairness, I was very (apparently) upset by the two bats that had been in my house. He also began the inspection without me outside and had his wife go inside the house with me. I felt that was a bit strange, so I finally asked his wife if I could join him as he inspected our house outside. We went outside and he was coming around to the front at that stage. Again, I just felt it was unprofessional not to have me join him during the inspection or at the very least give me the opportunity. At the end of his inspection, he verbally gave me a quote of $800 to spray foam into the cracks between our fascia board and brick. He would also place a bat door at the side of our house which he would remove 4-5 days later. He said the initial work (foam and bat door) would take he and two other men on ladders a full day to complete the work. He did not provide a written quote - again, not professional. There was also no receipt given for the $90 I paid for the inspection. Last, no guarantee was discussed for the work he would perform. Before he left, he suggested he couldn't do the work until it became cooler. Again, not leaving me with a peace of mind. To be fair, he did confirm that he felt there was no colony in the house, but I just didn't have the confidence in him or his words by this stage.
