We called Wildlife Removal Services after we found 2 bats in our house over the course of 3 days. They responded to our call right away and came to our house the next day. They inspected our house's exterior and roof and quickly identified how the bats were getting into our house. They inspected the entry point and our attic and did not see any signs of additional bats so they arranged to come back in a week. When they returned they didn't see any evidence of bats, so they repaired the entry point along the roofline. A week later (in the evening), we opened the door to our 3rd floor and found 1 dead bat and 1 nearly dead bat. My husband removed those bats. We called Wildlife Removal Services and arranged for them to come back first thing the next morning. They arrived on time the next day and found 2 additional bats on our 3rd floor, which they captured and released. The bats had accidentally been sealed in the house when they had repaired the roofline. They offered to come back if we found any additional bats. We only found one more bat a few days later (which my husband captured and released). We have not had any more bats.

They provided and set up traps for racoons in my attic. |Checked to see where they had entered and advised how to remove access. |When it was determined after 30 days that the racoons had vacated the premises, had not been trapped, they removed the traps after checking the atic for additioonal activity. Professsional, polite and prompt.

We had Raccoons in the back yard which were causing a problem with our dogs. We thought the kits were orphans but they set a trap for the mother incase she came back. The mother did not return and the kits died in the nest - it was to deep for recovery. They covered the hole to prevent another Raccoon using it in the future. Wildlife Removal Services responded quickly were very knowledgeable and professional. We will definitely use them again if we have any other wildlife problems.

We had called them to come out and give us an opinion on an issue we are having with bats. They came out and explained to us that we didn't need the service we thought but they would have to go about it a different way and would have to wait about a month before they can take action. We have hired them and they will be back out when the timing is right for the problem. But we felt they were honest and had our best interest in mind.

Overall, they got the job done. While remembering to check the trap and call each morning was a pain, the threat of a service fee sharpened my memory. The $20 cost to cap each ridge vent seemed steep, but not as steep as my roof.
Description of Work: I had squirrels in my attic. Wildlife Removal Services determined that they were accessing via the uncapped ends of my ridge vents. They capped all but nor ridge vent end (@$20 per ridge vent) and set a trap. I had to call the vendor each morning to inform them if there was a squirrel in the trap. Failure to call would result in a service call and service fee to check the trap. Ultimately, they removed 2-3 squirrels and installed the last ridge vent cap. Unfortunately, just last night we heard another critter in the attic. I'll call Wildlife Removal Services again.

They put a cage on my roof and put some bait in it. For a while I heard a little noise, then after a couple weeks, nothing. I don't know if they were flying in or walking in. They weren't able to catch anything. They were very punctual when they came to check the cage. They were very nice and explained everything to me. I called them every day to tell them if I had seen or heard anything. They're a very good company.

We have gotten rid of our raccoons and our attic was cleaned out very well. About a week after they finished I blew new insulation across the entire attic so I got a good look at their work. They did very well. As this point you would have never known that we had raccoons. Ben was very down to earth and helped us understand the entire process. He was able to identify all entry points upon one pass around our house. He was also very knowledgeable about raccoon manorsms and seasonal concerns, etc which was important for the trapping. When it was time to close the entry points we were able to be confident we were not going to trap anything in our attic because of his great knowledge and communication. After he was able to fill almost an entire truck bed with bags of animal waste from the attic I was very happy that I did not have to do that myself. When we bought the house we felt like we were taking a big gamble because I had seen some large estimates for taking on this kind of project. At the end of the day, Wildlife Removal Services made this a very manageable problem. It is great to know that our house is now raccoon free! A few weeks after they had completed the work we heard some noises coming from the attic over our bedroom one night and the next morning. We were very worried that our problem might not be quite gone. I called Wildlife Removal Services to ask them a few questions about the noises. They had me describe the noises and were able to determine that the problem was mice, right over the phone. I put some traps up there that night, caught some mice, and have not heard any noises since. They did not charge me or anything for this additional advice. It is great to know that they are there for me, to really solve my problems, and not just look for any opportunity to get money out of me. We were very happy with our service and would not hesitate to call them again for any type of animal removal service. I will not even bother researching other companies next time. We also plan on recommending them to anyone we know who needs help.
Description of Work: We just bought a new house which was having a large problem with raccoons living in the attic. Over the course of a few weeks before we moved in Ben trapped and removed 3 raccoons from the property as well as cleaning a mass amount of animal waste from the attic.

We were pleased with the handling of the problem.
Description of Work: We had a problem with a family of raccoons getting into bird seed containers. They were able to foil all attempts at sealing them. When they started entering the garage, we called Wildlife Removal. He came promptly, explained what he would do and the pricing. He set the traps and showed us how to release them should an animal other than the targeted raccoons should get into the traps. They caught a total of 5 raccoons. He came and took them away promptly and checked the traps and rebaited them. We were pleased with the service on all levels.

The company called back and worked with my husband. I guess the company subcontracts to other company's since the gentleman who came to the house gave me a card that had another company's name on it. That was fine, but would have been nice to know that was going to happen. (What if things didn't go well? Who would have responded?) The animal removal was fine. There were 3 animals removed. First two not the critters infesting our chimney, which was a bit frustrating. The last one finally was captured and we thought it was the end. The gentleman representing the company came and inspected. He stated that he would tell this company that we needed a chimney cap and to send someone to put it on. That part never happened. Now we have another unwelcome visitor. We had a good experience except for that last leg and now are frustrated that what was agreed upon hadn't happened. If it was not going to occur, it would have been good to have someone call us, so we could have made other arrangements for the chimney cap.
Description of Work: We called to have animals removed from our chimney. The company sent a representative who set a trap to capture the animal. It took 3 attempts to get the animal that was causing the inconvenience.

Response from Wildlife Removal Services
Our policy is total customer satisfaction. This particular job did not go as planned. It was around the holidays when the owner first called and we did subcontract this job to someone we have known and used for a long time and who normally meets our standards of quality customer service. Our subcontractor policy to always represent Wildlife Removal Services, to be punctual, professional and to follow though the job to ensure customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Once we became aware that the chimney cap was quoted but not installed, we immediately contacted the owner to reset the traps free of charge. We caught the new visitor and then installed the chimney cap as promised. Whenever we find that there is a problem with our services, we do whatever is reasonable to make our customers happy; and we always stand by our work.

In response to an Angie's List questionnaire, I had to give a negative review based on the fact that I did not receive any follow-up on a request for a quote last fall. I noted in my review that I had used this company in the past with very good results, but was disappointed to not recieve a return call even though I left a phone message and an e-mail on the web site. I also noted that I would probably try again in the spring. Well, as soon as they were advised of a negative review I was contacted IMMEDIATELY by Kimberly who apologised and even offered me a discount when my pesky visitor re-emerges in the spring. I have been victimized by technology demons myself and I have no doubt that is what happened this time. I was very impressed with how quickly they responded, even though I said I would use them again (suspecting some glitch in the system). I hope this A will erase the earlier negative review and plan to start fresh when the actual work is done. Kudo's to Angie's List for keeping at me to reivew. I would not have normally comlained and probably would have had a negative feeling without the company ever knowing there had been a break-down in service communication. Their quick response is an example of good customer service and deserves to be acknowledged. See you in the spring.

Home inspection required removal of nesting material found in our attic. The inspection stated that no "critters" were present & also required any opening be closed up. The guys from Wildlife Removal Services were very professional, came the day after I called them, & were neat & clean. On the phone I was told the service call was $125 + $65 for every garbage bag of material removed, and possibly a little extra if there was extensive screening or repair to close up an opening. I said, "So around $200?" and was told it could be a little more depending on what they found. They were here a TOTAL of 30 minutes (2 men), no critters, and any opening had been thoroughly closed up when our NEW roof was added in August. Simple. However, they did remove 3 bags of lightweight nesting material, mostly straw. I think $337 was a lot for less than 1 man hour of work. Also, I think the Pillar to Post inspector should have been able to see that the new roof had fixed the problem. What a racket!

Very professional and friendly. Came and assessed the situaiton, set out humane traps, and gave me contact info for if/when the animal appeared in the trap so they could come back and retrieve it. This actually happened in less than an hour. Provider came back quickly, removed animal (assuring me it would be released elsewhere per my request), and covered the vent on the roof that had allowed the squirrel to get in the house. Also, suggested tree branches be trimmed back to avoid animals on the roof in the future. I appreciated the fast service, humane treatment of the animal, and that he also helped prevent future entries by placing a mesh covering on the vent.

I heard scratching noises in the attic ,above the bedroom. We have had squirrels get into the attic before. I called on Sunday and left a message. Got a call back and set up a time to meet Monday morning. The man came out and was right on time. He looked all over the house. Thinks it is a mouse or mice. Recommended an exterminator if I hear it again. But good news there is no evidence of squirrels or racoons.

Description of Work: We had bats in our attic. He came out and sealed everything up leaving a couple of tubes hanging out the side of the house, allowing the bats to escape, for about 2 weeks. I was sitting at my desk one morning in July when I heard a series of piercing cries that startled me out of my chair. They were coming from my fireplace, which has a detached wire screen over the opening rather than glass doors. The crying was loud and long. It wasn't even light out, and I was alone. The sound and the idea of a wild animal so close gave me chills. I thought something was going to scramble over the gas logs and burst into my living room, so I grabbed a broom before running to the fireplace. Though I saw no creature there, I pushed a heavy chair against the screen. I had heard footsteps above me before and thought I might have a raccoon problem. Now I knew it. As soon as I thought Wildlife Removal Services would be open for business, I called. They were the company I chose from Angie's list. Wildlife Removal Services sent someone right away. Ben was knowledgeable and professional. He immediately saw the path the animals were taking into my home, based on a trail of muddy footprints. He set two traps and baited them with marshmallows. No animals were harmed, but in just a few days three raccoons had been trapped and efficiently removed from my property. Both Jay and Ben were glad to answer my questions. Ben told me what to look and listen for so that we could be sure all of the animals had been caught. Then Wildlife Removal Services closed the opening near my chimney. I am so relieved to have my home to myself again. Raccoons look cute and fluffy, but they are not good housemates for people! Thanks, Angie's List, and Wildlife Removal Services. I should clarify that I have not been invoiced yet for this work. I am basing the amount I spent (above) on the vendor's estimate. The estimate was reasonable, and the company did not try to sell me additional services; in fact, they discouraged me from pursuing avenues that could be costly but not necessarily successful. I would definitely use Wildlife Removal Services again, but I hope I don't have to--meaning that I hope the wild animals out there will leave me alone.

The sign of an honest business person is their willingness to lose a job in order to satify a customer. I needed this estimate within 2 days per the contract. He is just really busy and his schedule would not allow him to come that quickly. I asked him for any personal recommendations for someone that might be able to help.He gave me a competitor's name and number. That person came out within 8 hours and solved the entire issue. I will definitely give Jay a chance to take care of my next "problem"!
Description of Work: I am selling a property that has been vacant for a couple of years. The inspection found that there were animal droppings in the attic. I called Jay right before I was going out of town. He came over two days later and placed the traps. For the price quoted, he came and checked the traps once a week. I didn't have a need to talk to Jay much, but when I did he was very nice and he took care of things right away. After a month, there were no new mold mounds and the traps were removed. It's been about six weeks and so far, so good.

I am clearing out my parents' home of 60 years. My parents had been living there - aging in place - for the last ten years as they requested to be able to do. My father's recent death ended that plan as my mother has dementia and cannot live alone. Mom is now living with me and cannot be easily left alone for any length of time. My parents were also both hoarders to different degrees and had not allowed any major but necessary repairs to be done to the house except for roof repair in the past 15 years. When I went to the house to do some work on the piles of paper, etc. I discovered evidence of raccoons ransacking the kitchen area and part of the family room. All packages of food and garbage had been removed weeks before, but the raccoons came after crumbs in the cookie jar, dirty dishes and a can of Hershey's cocoa. I consulted Angie's List and called Wildlife Removal because I had enough decisions to make and meetings to go to and paperwork to fill out in a limited amount of time and just wanted someone to do this job with a minimum of aggravation. Jay was professional and efficient and sympathetic to my situation and went beyond my expectations to not only clear the raccoons - total was 6 trapped! - and explain what I needed to do at every step of the way, but also to accomodate me and my situation with Mom. He has a basic charge and then charges per trapped animal that has to be retrieved in a timely manner. After two weeks, and six raccoons and not knowing how many more there would be, I sent a check to Jay as payment of what had been trapped up to that time. As it turned out, no more raccoons were trapped, nor was there evidence of them still trying to get into the house or living in the attic after another ten days, and so the payment was accepted as in full. I was very imporessed with Jay's accomodating my situation and would highly recommend him to anyone with a similar problem. He is not only professional and efficient, but understanding and sympathetic about the situations his clients find themselves and their property in with the uninvited 'guests.' I would consider my particular situation to be an unusual and aggravating one since there were so many raccoons eventually and the house was unoccupied and in poor condition and yet Jay never showed anything but a professional manner. There were no excuses, no long drawn-out explanations about why he couldn't do something, lots of good communication and, in comparison to other services I have had to deal with in the past six months, a genuine nice guy with nice employees.
Description of Work: General inspection of area for evidence of animals, discussion of how they were getting into the house, showing me what he had found and why it was going to be expensive, giving me an estimate after I explained why it still needed to be done, placement of multiple traps and instructions on how to notify his office of what was there each morning, and several adjustments of traps over two weeks, installation of a prelimnary cover over the opening to see if there were other raccoons staying in the attic, and, finally, installation of the permanent metal cover over the opening.
