Description of Work: Cleaned all carpet in my home. The technician was prompt, courteous, efficient and helpful with ideas for the upkeep of the carpet in between cleanings. Have used Widmer's Cleaners for almost ten years.

Description of Work: I purchased a $150 deal for 4 Rooms of Carpet Cleaning plus Sanitizer/Deodorizer AND Teflon Protection. I was extremely pleased with the service they did.

Description of Work: Widmer's was hired to clean our carpets for our home we just purchased. Our time was to be between 12-2, but the 2 man crew showed up at 4:30 and were done by 5:00 with cleaning and deodorizing the carpets. I felt like they were just trying to get done as soon as possible. Carpets looked ok but stains were still there.

Description of Work: I scheduled a whole house True dri clean carpet claening for 8-10 am, Dec 20th. By 10am no one had arrived. I called Widmers. They said they cleaned my carpets on Dec 12th. They did not. They mistakenly logged my cleaning as completed. They rescheduled for the same day from noon to 2pm. They showed up at 2:45pm. I requested the "True Dri Cleaning". There is no liquid used so the carpets are not wet. The tech started spraying liquid on the carpet and I questioned him. He said he could not perform that service, but this cleaning was a "Dry foam" cleaning and would dry in 15 minutes. I asked how this process worked and he said the dirt is encapsullated by the liquid and evaporates with the liquid. I had never heard of dirt evaporating. Sure enough , the Widmer's website says you have to vacuum the carpet after it drys to remove the dirt. I had to do this myself. The girl that scheduled the appointment said they would move all furniture. The tech said THEY DO NOT MOVE BEDS. I moved three queen and one king bed so the carpet under them could be cleaned. The tech finished at 4:00pm. It took overnight for the carpet to dry. The process I requested was not performed. It cleans and vacums in the same step. I would not have had to vacuum my whole house. I did get a 20% discount for my inconvenience. I will not use them again. The carpets look no better than before the cleaning.

Description of Work: First,, I never would have completed this report had I not just seen the ad in the new Angie's magazine. We hired Widmers tile and grout cleaning sub-division to clean our quarry tile and grout- in the kitchen---remove the sealer and clean it. The service person did arrive promptly to give us the estimate and also arrived promptly to do the work. When they finished, we realized that they had left out great swaths so we immediately called and had them retuirn. They did remove some of what we pointed out but not all. They also spattered their sealer remover on our hall slate floor which we did not want cleaned and they dripped whatever the solvent was on the dining room floor so that it speckled the floor outside the kitchen. Since we had called them back immediately, the second time we had the opportunity to inspect, we said to each other that we never wanted to see that company again so we didn't complain to the company again nor did we get the usual call from Widmer's asking if we were satisfied with their service. I have to say that our complaint is only on the tile and grout cleaning. We've always been safisfied with the carpet cleaning and dry cleaning.

Description of Work: This occurred some Time ago, but I just joined angies list and felt I should warn people about Widmers. I had used the Widmers on fields ertle for just a few weeks, and had given them my best pair of Zegna slacks to clean. Wehn I got them back, they were completely ruined. They were badly wrinkled, over one inch short, and I could barely button the waistband. Someone had obviously put them in the wash rather than the dry clean pile. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, and luckily I had saved the original receipts. I tried to work this out with the local people, and they kept saying there was nothing wrong with the slacks. I then had to take pictures of the slacks showing they were over one inch shorter than an identical pair they had dry cleaned in the same order. Still no luck and lots of arguments. I had to send the pictures, slacks, and my original receipts to HQ, and they still tried to convince me there was nothing wrong. I remember talking to the top guy, and he said there was 'no way they could have been put in the wash'. He later told me ''well that's not what happens when you put this type of slacks in the wash'. Incredible. I finally threatened to circulate a flyer in my neiborhood with the picture of the two pair of 'identical' slacks, and they refunded my purchase price. I suppose if everything goes fine, they are ok. But I wouldn't trust them.
