Widmer's Cleaners - Carpet Cleaners

Went great. There was a very noticeable difference between the carpet before and after the cleaning and the spots were gone.

It was very convenient for them to pick up the rugs and return them for us. They were excellent!

They are awesome. We have had a different person every time, but they are always consistently professional and educated about carpets. They have integrity, and they do a great job. They are professional in offering upgrades, and I have never found them to be pushy. Their solution to cleaning carpets is natural as well.

Customer service was responsive and very helpful when I made the original appointment. I was going to have the carpets cleaned prior to moving in but they recommended waiting until after the movers were done. That was a good recommendation. Their pricing was not the best, but I chose them because they were highly rated on Angie's list and they were one of only a few that offered a cleaning process other than steam extraction. The two servicemen that came were professional and polite. They went around the house prior to cleaning to make sure any problem areas or special requests needed to be addressed. The dry cleaning/low moisture method that I wanted turned out to be a little wetter than I expected, but most areas did dry within the two hours as I was told they would. However, some areas definitely had cleaning solution over-applied and took a lot longer to dry. The odor from this cleaning process was very strong and lasted several days. It smells like a strong mix of oranges and chemicals. It was rainy so I couldn't open windows. The problem I had with Widmer's is the servicemans' lack of good judgment. They indicated that they had forgotten their vacuum cleaner and asked if they could borrow mine. This was not a problem. The problem was that I had no idea that they intended on using it on damp carpet! This was a conventional household vacuum cleaner, not a wet/dry shopvac. Needless to say, I had to do some serious maintenance to the vacuum cleaner after they left it soaking wet and filled with damp carpet fiber. Worse than that, every time the vac was turned off while they were using it, all that nasty dark dust-water that was half sucked up the vac would drain out onto the carpet. This left significant dark stain puddles in a few places. I called them and they did send out a person to clean these spots the next day, but my vac is still not right and is much worse for the wear. The carpets were ultimately cleaned very well, but the poor judgement and damage to my vac will have me looking elsewhere in the future.

I have dropped off carpets there and also asked them to repair a rare, damaged oriental rug, which they did very well. They always seem to remember me, even though I don't go very often, and are courteous about asking exactly what I want done, because they offer several options.

The technician arrived on time. He gave us a thorough explanation of the cleaning process he would be using. He did a very good job of cleaning the carpets. Overall it was a good experience.

The technicians Andy and Jeff were prompt and professional. Pricing included several rooms stairs/hallway & 2 large rooms 20x25 which counted as 2 rooms and I added carpet protection. Moving furniture in rooms is something to be considered, Overall a great professional experience

Overall the cleaning went well. As I expected some stains could not be removed even after several attempts. They were able to lighten the stains. Overall the workers came on time, were courteous, and worked very hard. The carpets dried quickly. Everything smelled and looked fresh when they left. They did come back one more time to try something else on the stains. These were old stains on old carpet and nothing has worked. The other carpets cleaned up really well. Price wise I think I would keep to the special next time and not necessarily do the add ons. If I had kept to the special discount, the cleaning would have cost about 1/3rd of what I paid. I will say that with the scotch guard spills have been easier to clean. I will have them back for my next cleaning.

Widmer's cleaned two braided wool rugs and 4 swag curtains for me. They came to our home, removed the carpeting and curtains and returned them when they said they would. The oval, braided wool rugs were beautiful. The swag curtains were pleated and ready for hanging. I was very happy with the quality of their work and would use them again

They don’t leave the carpet all soapy, which helps it stay cleaner longer. I don’t like soap residue, so this is a key point of good service for me. They use clear water to steam clean everything, but will use soap if you request it.

I have used Widmers for 17 years and in the last 3 months their quality of cleaning has taken a nose-dive. Clothing has been coming back poorly pressed and in May my husband's brand new "unworn" tuxedo shirt for our daughter's wedding came back with a terrible brown/black stain on the back of the shirt. I reported it to the driver and he took the shirt back promptly and had it recleaned. I was told it was a a starch buildup from the plant. Secondly, I bought a new "unused" rust colored tablecloth and took it out of the packaging and sent it off to be cleaned and pressed, so that it was ready to go for Thanksgiving. The tablecloth was returned with bleached out sections (yellow) and it was folded in such a way to hide them. They state they do not know how this could happen but they are going to reimburse me for the tablecloth and I am waiting for that check. Thirdly, that same week I received a pair of white pants with dirty steam vent markings on the leg, again I returned it to Widmers to be redone, I am waiting to receive them back. I have had enough of their poor cleaning! They have a wonderful driver (Doug) but that is not enough to make up for the poor quality of dry cleaning. Widmers used to be a good dry cleaner, but sadly this is not the case any longer.

I was able to get a Saturday appointment. I was given a two hour window and the technician was in and out in that time period. The carpets were really a mess, especially the stairs. I didn't have much hope to be honest. The carpets turned out much better than I expected. Not like brand new, but I didn't really expect that after years of neglect. The technician was friendly and efficient. No issues whatsoever.

They are all over Cincinnati. They do a fabulous job. I have no idea as to how much they charge. They do a good job. Their pricing is fair. They pick up and deliver, which makes it very convenient. I am very happy with them.

They were professional and came when they said they would. They moved the furniture and rolled up the rug and put the furniture back. The rug came back when they said it would and it looked very nice. They put it back down and put everything in place. Their prices were average. The only thing was that I had to wait a few extra days before they could come out here. They just did a good job. They have been around for a very long time. They were very nice.

This was my first time using Widmers - they did an excellent job. The tech even called to ask if he could come a few minutes early before my scheduled appointment time. He did a very thorough job and even my heavily soiled areas of carpet looked new when he left. I will definitely use Widmers again the next time I need the carpets cleaned.

The two men that came out were respectful and on time. They worked really hard and consistently. They did not push the extras, but suggested them. The next time I probably will stick with just cleaning and stain protection. Since it had been at least 2 years since I cleaned the carpets, I wanted them as fresh as possible. I have used Widmers before and have liked their work.

Widmer's was the second company that I called to get a quote for the cleaning. They were close to the first estimate but preferred their services. The lady that took my order had been with Widmer's for 28 years and was most helpful and pleasant, offering alternatives in having the steam cleaning done in our home or having them picked up and delivered for free as part of their service. She provided the quote and arranged for pickup. There was a slight misunderstanding and the cushions were dry cleaned rather than steam cleaned, but they honored their quote for the steam cleaning price and were very efficient and pleasant in the transaction. The young man that did the pickup and delivery was very pleasant and took care of the misunderstanding and the difference in cost. He called beforehand to arrange for a delivery time and the cushions were delivered in protective plastic covers. Have used Widmer's for dry cleaning clothes for several years but this was the first time for upholstery cleaning. Will use them again. An overall pleasant experience.

Widmers is always professional. I have never had a complaint. As with any vendor, some of the techs are better than others, and I keep the cards of my favorites. But hard to go wrong with any of the techs. Experiences have been exactly as expected. I've had them come at least 6 times over the past few years.

I asked him how long until I could walk on the carpet. He said about 2 hours. It was three days before the carpet was dry. The carpet was saturated and it stayed wet forever.

Widmers did an excellent job cleaning the carpets in my house. They arrived on time and were very respectful of my property. They gave me advice on what to do to make sure the carpet remains clean and how long I should let it dry after the cleaning. They had high quality industrtial equipment that left my carpets looking great. They were very meticulous and even cleaned the sides of the stairsteps. My only complaint is that they damaged the corners of the baseboards as they were dragging their equipment and hoses around corners.

Their price is a little high but we don?t use them often. I am very happy with them. They just seem to do a really good job.

They have a very good reputation. They do quality work. They were professional and I really never had any problems when I dealt with them. I've used their dry cleaning quite a bit. They are a little more costly in dry cleaning. They did clean my carpets also. Overall, they do a really good job. They are more expensive, but they do do a better job. I would use them again in the future if need be.

He did an excellent job on the basement steps which were atrocious. I appreciate his hard work.
