Description of Work: Refinished first floor inlayed wood floor. We were hesitent to refinish 100 year old floors as they we quite thin but the guys did a really nice job. I will use them again for our second floor project.

Description of Work: Weickert's Flooring gave me an estimate for refinishing our hardwood floors. They were extremely punctual, very professional, and above all, they provided advice and suggestions that were helpful beyond my expectations. My wife and I were selling our home and wanted to know how much it would cost if we needed to re-do our hardwood to get it sold. Weickert's offered several different options for our consideration, and they all seemed to be priced very fairly. As it turned out, we got an offer without doing the flooring work, and we consequently did not need to hire Weickert's, although I would hire them in a heartbeat to handle any hardwood flooring issue.

Description of Work: They cleaned my Oriental rug that is in my entryway. It was filthy because the dog comes in through that door. They took the rug with them to clean the fringe. It took about three weeks but we were very happy with the results. They were very easy to work with.

 + -1 moreWhen the carpet felt dry a day later I put the throw rugs back down. I have not had carpet before, and was shocked when one of the rugs caused a stain. I called WEICKERT so I wouldn t do something to make it worse! I explained more than once I caused the problem, and needed professional guidance. I was greeted with hostility, unwillingness to help, and told the entire carpet needed to be replaced. The person said it would cost me $75.00 if they came out, and I would just blame them anyway! Since then I ve consulted the carpet installer and rug manufacturer who insisted that before anything, I call a special 800 number: You put in your zip code, and are given the best carpet cleaner in the area ! A carpet cleaning company in Chicago located a special chemical- making no promises, spending time on line to find it for me, and they didn't make a dime! What a difference from my experience when I wanted professional help from WEICKERT.

Description of Work: Vacuumed the carpet, then vacuumed the edge of the carpet at the woodwork with special nozzle. spotted the carpet. When finished cleaning they suggested the kind of throw rugs to use on the carpet.

AFTER BEING ASSURED BY THEM THAT MOLD WAS NOT GROWING, AND THAT THE PADDING WAS DRY, I WAS GIVEN A THOROUGH EXPLANATION OF THE DRY-CLEANING PROCESS THEY WOULD USE, AND THE EXPECTED RESULTS. THE MEN TOOK ABOUT 30 MINUTES TO DO THE WORK. THEY WERE VERY CLEAN, PROFESSIONAL, AND COURTEOUS. I AM THRILLED WITH THE RESULTS. THE CARPET LOOKS COMPLETELY CLEAN, AND THERE IS NO MORE SOUR SMELL. WELL DONE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY HIGHLY, AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN.

 + -1 moreWE CALLED WEICKERT'S IN A PINCH TO CLEAN OUR CARPETS BEFORE WE MOVED INTO OUR HOME. THEY WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING, FITTING US INTO THEIR SCHEDULE. THE WORKERS WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. THE PROBLEM WAS THE CARPET WAS VERY DIRTY AND STAINED. WHEN WE ASKED THE CLEANERS IF THEY COULD GET THE STAINS OUT THEIR RESPONSE WAS "WE'RE GOOD". THE STAINS DID NOT COME OUT & WE WASTED $435 THAT WE COULD HAVE PUT TOWARD THE NEW CARPETING WHICH WE ARE NOW HAVING INSTALLED.

Description of Work: I HAD A DHORRIE AREA CARPET THAT DEVELOPED SOME MILDEW AND WATER DAMAGE, WHILE IT WAS IN STORAGE, BETWEEN MOVES. THE COMPANY SENT OUT TWO GENTLEMEN TO LOOK AT THE DAMAGE AND ASSESS WHETHER IT WAS CLEANABLE OR NOT. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS TYPE OF CARPET IS SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT TO CLEAN AND MILDEW IS VERY HARD TO GET OUT.
