I was able to be scheduled in a timely fashion. Crew was punctual and courteous. Took care with my items, particularly when I pointed out furniture that needed extra care. They were efficient, and worked consistently the entire time. I will use them again for a local move in the future.

They were very professional and punctual. They were very courteous and worked with me. They were very careful with my stuffs and they had no problems while moving large items. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Got estimate to move home goods from 2 bdrm rental to a new home a 1/2 mile away: 3-4 hrs @ $99/hr for 3 movers. Since I had moved the same amount of stuff only 3 months prior, I knew that this was reasonable. We packed everything ahead of time and broke down most furniture to try and save time. Soon realized that these movers were SLOW! I tried to get them to move but they were more interested in joking around and looking around my yard. After 3 hours they finished loading the truck and said that they were going to have to take another truck. I followed them to the new house and got impatient so I started helping unload. It's then that I really saw the movers' laziness. They spent more time on their phones than moving, took breaks with every box unloaded, and spent at least 1 hour looking at the foliage in my yard. All the while they are complaining about how they're the lowest paid and work for tips. While they unloaded I went back to my old place and brought over 3 SUV loads of stuff - all before they even finished unloading. They went back for the 2nd trip & again wasted severe amounts of time. I brought almost all of the boxes up from our basement to within 10 ft of their truck to speed them up. It didn't matter - they just laughed. They finally finished the 2nd load, in which time I brought 2 more full car loads over by myself. All told it took 7 hrs, which would be acceptable if I owned the Vanderbuilt mansion but not a 2bdrm house. They also made my formally 1-piece antique dresser a 2-piece. Luckily it fits back together ok and the damage isn't too noticeable. This furniture has been moved 5 times over 100 yrs without a scratch until these buffoons moved it. And one mover left us a disgusting house-warming gift in the toilet. Feeling cheated, I called the owner to complain & he was very skeptical at first - saying how those were his best guys. He said he had to check into my story. It took a week to get back to me, but only after I called 2-3 times to follow-up. I felt that I wasn't taken seriously. He said that he talked to his movers and was willing to take $100 off-so I knew that he found out they did a terrible job. I still felt cheated, so after a little negotiation, we agreed to split the diff at $200. I did get my refund check after that talk pretty quickly. (Meanwhile that same week my sis used Two Men & a Truck, who moved 2 2-bdrm apartments that were 8 miles apart into her new place. With only 2 men, it took 3 hrs - & her movers were running almost the entire time. My sis's movers' owner called AND stopped by to make sure everything was ok. I never heard from my movers' owner until I called to complain.) If you have to use Valley and feel your group is moving slowly, call the owner immediately. Don't let them steal your time & money. I give the owner credit for being a little flexible & giving a partial refund. But overall this was one of my worst service experiences ever.

The experience went very well. They moved some furniture out of a house, and a bunch of stuff out of a rental garage. They then moved me into a home that had some really difficult turns, and things that were hard to maneuver. They did a really nice job getting everything in to the house. They put everything where I asked them to. They moved fairly quickly, and got the job done just as I asked them to. Their responsiveness was excellent. They arrived early.

Our original house was 5 bedrooms with 3 floors, a basement and garage to all be moved. They were on time, professional and curteous. Our house was a mess and I wasn't even ready for them but they didn't complain. They even moved furniture and other items, that I wasn't taking but was going to sell at a moving sale the next day, down to the first floor for me. Other companies I spoke to charged extra for weekend moves but this company did not and their price was equal to that of the other companies' weekday prices. Only two little things happened. First of all, one of the workers, not the one in charge asked me if, "that was all." I said yes but thought he only meant the present room we were working on. Apparently, he meant was that all to be moved out of the entire house. (I wasn't taking everything with me.) So, they packed the truck more loosely after that to only fit those things left in the garage. Unfortunately, there were still several large items in the house in different rooms that needed to go. The person in charge was not happy with me because it meant that they had to unpack things on the truck and reload them packed more tightly to make sure everything fit. I told him that he should have made sure that he was the one who asked me such an important question and that it should have been more explicit, "Is there anything else at all inside the house that has to go?" Also, one of the legs on my kitchen table was broken but it had been loose before they even moved it. The worker who broke it told me how to fix it but I couldn't get it to hold. When we called the company, they sent someone right over to take the table and fix it. They brought it back in 2 days like new. When we got to the new house, I noticed that the air conditioner was leaking and there was a big puddle in the basement. The movers knew of a few different people who they could call to come over right then. He did and he fixed it on the spot in 15 minutes. That was really a lifesaver! Overall, I feel this company did a very good job and would certainly use them again.

The work went very well. They were organized and worked hard to get everything done in a timely manner without damaging anything. I was pleased with their service. The price was a little higher than I thought it would be.

Wow, what can I say? These guys were awesome! Very professional and hard working. Rates were very reasonable too. We were expecting much higher end cost based on moving our stuff from a storage unit and a second stop at our apartment before going to our house. But the price ended up being lower than we expected.

Valley Moving went the extra mile. They took down my water bed and helped me put it back up. They were very careful with things. They didn't complain when they had to go down a big flight of stairs. The charge was very minimal. I am getting ready to use them again. The experience was very good.

They were very professional and prompt. They were very protective of my items and treated them with care. They were great.

It was nearing Easter weekend and our planned move from our rental house to new home. We had planned to pay some acquaintances to save $ and began to get concerned when one backed out and others didn't respond. With less than one week to go, I contacted Valley Moving to see if they could take on the job and I am VERY glad that I did. Between the interaction with the office staff, scheduling, and the 3 professionals which undertook the loading/unloading - everyone was helpful, professional, hard-working and pleasant. I would highly recommend them to anyone contemplating a move no matter what the situation.

They were great to work with. They were affordable, friendly, punctual, thorough, accommodating and I would recommend them to others.

The two guys that did the work, were great. They were quick and very professional and considerate. The only problem was, when I called to set the move up, I also requested that they pack up what remained in the house. When we got there, they told us that they only move stuff and do not do any packing....that is a separate team of people that come and do that on a separate day. I imagine there was some sort of miscomunication with Joy and I but I had also asked for 3 men instead of 2 so that the job would go faster. She had said no problem. Come morning, there were only two movers and no packers....so....overall, the guys that were there did a fantastic job. They were quick and courteous. I did call Joy that morning when we started the move to ask what had happened but got a voicemail instead. I left a message but haven't heard from her since.

Movers were a few minutes early and did a great job. It took them about 2 and a half hours to pack up all of my furniture (3 bedrooms, living room, family room) and another hour and a half to unpack it. They were very fast and managed to get all the furniture through some tight stairs without any bumps or scrapes.

They had a good price, were on time, and did a good job.

They moved my big items from my house a mile away to my "new" house. They were only a few minutes late, so for all practical purposes they were on time. They did the work and took perhaps an hour more than was previously estimated by Joy over the phone. I also don't think they properly calculated the "5%" discount for Angie's list consumers, and it was more or less a 2 or 3 percent discount when I went back and did the math. It would have only saved me about five extra bucks though, and that's small potatoes. Just check their math before you sign on the dotted line. However, they didn't seem to take a bunch of union teamster style smoke breaks like the moving that moved my mom in late 2007. They were courteous and professional and had a pretty good attitude and that's important and that makes up for an estimation and math error.

I had originally intended to have some friends move me...but halfway through the job, it was evident that they were not going to be able to finish it. I was left half-moved on a Saturday night. I called Valley at a friends recommendation the next day, Sunday, but they were closed. As soon as I woke up on Monday morning, I called and spoke with Joy and explained my story. Since I was supposed to be out of my old apartment the night before, time was of the essence. Joy was very friendly and immediately I could tell she would do whatever it took to help me. She checked her crews and told me that she could have a crew to my place that same day between 11 and 1pm. I was thrilled. I never expected them to be able to come the same day! Joy then called a couple hours later and told me that the crew would be at my house in about 45 minutes. They arrived in just that amount of time and jumped in loading the truck. Since I had moved a little over half of my things already, they didn't have a full apartment of furniture to move, but they did have a large entertainment center, table & chairs, grill, a couple other pieces of furniture and about 15-20 boxes. They cleared out my apartment, jumped down into the basement and cleared out my storage and had my stuff moved and unloaded at the new place within 2.5 hours. It was awesome! The crew they sent was Jason and Mike, who were professional, friendly, and didn't stand around for one single minute. They were always moving. No breaks, nothing. They were very careful of my belongings and checked with me as to where to put everything. I could not have asked for a smoother transition or more pleasant moving experience. I will not hesitate one second to call Valley Moving & Storage the next time I move, and I would absolutely recommend them to others.

We hired Valley to load a POD in our driveway. We had already boxed the items that needed to be loaded, plus several furniture items that were not wrapped/packed. They charged by the hour, for two men, $76/hour total. They supplied some stretch wrapping, paper and floor coverings. They worked hard, no dents and got the job done in 3 hours. Based on the "try out" I will use them when we make our final move to a new house in town.

I scheduled the move with Joy four weeks in advance of the move. She was very helpful and provided tips on packing, since we did the packing ourselves. Joy gave me an accurate estimate over the phone. Joy called us back before the scheduled move to make sure we were still a go. We utilized 3 movers for eight rooms plus the basement and garage. The movers arrived fifteen minutes later then scheduled, but promptly started working. They were very organized and efficient. When packing the truck they used every inch possible. The move took a total of 9 1/2 hours. Overall it was a great experience!

They were really good, but the under estimated the size of our apartment and brought a smaller truck. We got most of our stuff moved, just not all of it. They were on time. They were very good about organizing everything and keeping it all in order. They even offered to come back and fix the mistake about under estimating and get the rest of our stuff.

I chose them off of Angie's List because of the good reports already submitted. I was very pleased with their work and with their friendly demeanors and professionalism.

The phone rep at Valley was friendly and helpful and scheduled us on relatively short notice. They sent out 5 guys, which turned out to be a good thing. We were behind in packing and organizing and they helped us sort out what needed to be done and what to do first. We ended up doing the move on two separate days to give us extra time to pack and organize. We had a lot of stuff to move and they really worked hard to get as much done as possible the first day. They got our washer/dryer hooked up and put in extra effort to make sure they fit in a tight space. After everything was finished we did find minor damage to a piano, but we were not certain the movers caused it. Overall this was a "challenging" move and Valley was up to the task. We can definitely recommend them to make a stressful task easier.

It went very smoothly. They showed up on time and they had the necessary number of people and equipment. They were always moving and working. They packed everything quickly. They drove over and unloaded everything where we asked them to and nothing got broken.

Packers were prompt and efficient. Most of the packing was done in advance, so the few things left were difficult for me -- large items like mirrors and standing lamps, etc. Everything was packed with care and I've found no breakage. Movers were also prompt. Dustin was lead driver and checked often to be sure I was comfortable with the work performed. I asked for Dustin's team to move me into new home, and process was flawless. They took special care not to damage the newly-installed hardwood floors.

The guys arrived promptly at 9 AM (as they promised) and were done by 10:15 AM. They were professional and did a great job protecting the furnishings.

I called two days prior to my move (we originally were going to move it ourselves) and Joy was extremely helpful and able to accommodate me. The "3 J's" (all names started w/J) arrived promptly at 8am. They introduced themselves, I showed them around the condo, explained I needed particular items going one place and the rest to another. They were courteous, professional and very nice. They loaded the truck and we went to stop one where the items were quickly unloaded and we then proceeded to the storage unit. I was also "upgrading" my storage unit and Jamie began helping me move things from the smaller one to the larger one without me even having to ask. They were also very careful about the way they placed things in the unit as I explained I needed to be able to access some of the items. They made most of the items in my unit totally accessible by the way they placed it in. Thanks guys! I have recommended this company to my aunt who is moving into a home (from an apt.) this month. We're looking forward to working with them again. Thanks to you too, Joy, for being so helpful!
