The service technicians were prompt, professional and courteous. The workmanship was excellent. The cleanup was impeccable. As for the quality of the insulation, we instantly noticed that our heat is not kicking on as often and the thermostat is maintaining a consistent range. Our only regret is that we did not have the installation installed years ago. Great value, great investment!! ~Wendell Saylor

We have noticed 45% heating bill due to this service. They were extremely professional and respectful of my home while they were installing this product. I have been recommending them to all of my friends because of the large reduction I have noticed in my heating bills.

After changing the apointment time several times, a man came out and talked to me about the company. Said he would get some measurements etc from the auditor website and get back with me. I haven't heard a word since.

My husband and I met with the salesman,Steve, in our Cincinnati home. He was prompt and very courteous. He showed us a DVD of the insulation process and answered all of our questions. He was very knowledgeable about the product and the process. The insulation was arranged for the following day and the workers arrived at the designated time. (Andrew called to confirm the time). The 2 installers worked diligently and finished in about 5 hours. They checked for any debris and cleaned the entire area; my house was left without a mess from the installation. We have already seen an improvement in the interior temperatures of our home, even though it is getting colder everyday! We would highly recommend this process and this company. This franchise office also services the Cincinnati area.(not to be confused with the now defunct USA Insulation listed in Covington, KY) Thanks....Steve and Andrew for a Great Job!

I was very disappointed in the sales man from USA Insulation Company. He spoke a good game but he was not very clear on the payment procedure. I was told I was going to be billed but then I went to work and my fiancé’ stayed home with them and they demanded payment from him which I was not prepared for. I thought that was not fair because I was told that they would send me a bill. Then I got a call from the owner a couple of days later saying that he hasn’t received the payment that I was supposed to have sent to them on Thursday which was prior to service. He did not introduce himself; he just started barking about where the check was. I was also told that their trucks are going to be out of Cincinnati when in fact he doesn’t have trucks in Cincinnati ad he was getting it from Columbus. I was told that the walls were going to be patched on the inside of the house with a layer of dry wall mud on top. That did not happen. I was told that there would be no odor, which is incorrect. There was quite an odor to the point where I almost couldn’t stay in the house for a couple of weeks because it was very strong until everything dried. It was told by the owner that they were going to have someone sent to do repairs and that took a long time. There were several such things I was unhappy about. I want to wait and see if I feel any difference after they did the insulation. With the weather that we have here, so far, I think that there is more warmth in the house. So, that’s good. I thought that their prices were high. The workers were here on time for the insulation but the worker who came to patch my walls was not. He didn’t call me to tell me that he wasn’t coming when the owner said that he would be there. When he came to do the repairs, he said that there actually wasn’t supposed to be any patching done on the inside of the walls. So it seems like the owner and the workers had differing ideas on how the work was supposed to be done.

USA Insulation Company was more expensive than I thought it would be. I don’t know if they were over expensive but it was more than what I had expected. The representative who came out was great. He knew what he was talking about. They even offered financing but I just wasn’t interested. I didn’t have that much money to hire them either. I would use them only if I didn’t find anyone else cheaper.

The wall insulation work went fine. The installers were efficient and didn't do any damage. They did a great job color matching the mortar. No complaints here at all! They did the attic insulation and the salesman had underestimated the amount needed by about 30%. If that wasn't the case, then the truck was 30% short on materials. The truck crew blamed the salesman. They made an appointment and came back to do the remainder. They were short on materials again and told me they were going to have to come back again. They probably needed 3-5 bags to finish the attic. I think they probably would have finished the job if I chased them harder, but I wasn't happy that they didn't bring enough materials on two different occasions. I had read USA's reviews here and expected a mixed bag and that's what I got. Ultimately, I'm not sure I would have done better anywhere else.

The estimator answered all questions that we posed. He was careful to explain that they would connect to our electricity and that some foam may come into wall outlets. We could wipe it away or the workers would come into our home to do it for us. They asked that any breakables be removed from the outer walls to possible prevent breakage from vibration (although we noticed little of this). The workers were on time and professional and did a nice job. The holes drilled to put in the foam can barely be detected in the brick. We wiped the little foam that came through the outlets and it was no problem. We did have static on the phone line and had to wipe the foam from that too. We find our house has been warmer and much quieter since the installation.

I called USA insulation to get an estimate on my 1 story brick home. They were referred to me by a relative who had their 2 story bick home insulated by USA Insulation and were happy with the overall experience. Once the sales rep showed up I told him what I was looking for and he did some measurements on my house. After calculating my square footage, he calcualted how much everything was going to cost and to my surprise he quoted me $4,000.00 for roughly 900 square feet. I then told him that I was referred by a relative who had about 1700 square feet done for $3700.00. He asked me how much I thought it would be and I said around $2,500.00 t which he responded "there is no way that could be done." I went ahead and contacted a different foam insulation company to get an estimate. On the day of the appointment the sales rep from USA called me and told me that he would match any offer his competitor was offering. This other company came in and quoted me exactly $2,500.00. At the time there was a tax credit of 30% of insulation cost up to $1,500.00 and I strongly feel that USA inflated their prices because of the tax credit. I could not believe the quote they gave me was more than what my relative paid and half the square footage. Needless to say, I went ahead and went with the company that gave me an honest and fair quote from the very beginning.

I was attempting to get a quote to insulation my whole house with USA Insulation. I contacted them using their website. They contacted me back and scheduled an appointment to visit my home. Approximately 30 minutes after the representative was supposed to arrive, they called and indicated they would be late and gave an approximate time of arrival 1.5 hours after the originally scheduled time. After being late to this second agreed time, they called to indicate they showed up to the wrong appointment and they would need to re-schedule with me for another day. After indicating they would call to schedule an appointment the next day, I never received a call back. If a company cannot even give responsible, professional service for providing a quote, they certainly don't deserve my hard earned dollars!

I was planning this project in the summer. It was a quick appointment and the bid was calculated quickly. Seemed very pushy, trying to get me to accept a contract on the spot since they had a couple of openings in the next week. He only provided a verbal quote, and said it was good for a week. He hinted that there would be a price increase coming soon (material and fuel), but was vague on details. He included blown fiberglass insulation in the attic and over the garage, which would qualify us for a discount on whole house insulation package. If we did the walls only, there were no discounts. This type of insulation is very expensive and I couldn't see the payoff benefit. Unfortunately it is the only type that can be used on our first floor which is brick construction, so we had to consider it. The Columbus office called me a couple of times over the next few weeks to see if I had made a decision because they had an open appointment.

Once we scheduled, they were prompt, courteous, and quick. We actually got an estimate on them blowing insulation into the walls of our brick home with vinyl additions, but opted just to do the attic at this point since we were a bit leary of them with such old home (1830s). Our attic never had insulation before so this hopefully will make a difference this winter. The price was the same as other quotes we had, and they used fiberglass (which we preferred) over the cellulose that others were using, and there was much less mess than we expected.

We were unhappy with the service, and would not recommend this company to anyone. There were numerous times that they were supposed to come out and they did not show up. They would call within an hour of when they were supposed to be here or an hour later to let us know. They also did not fill the holes correctly, and left holes in our wood. Last year someone walking past made a comment that our house was polka dotted, as a result of the unpatched holes. We had to go back and try to fill them up ourselves. They did not have the right equipment when they came out here; we had to let them use our personal tools, and now we cannot find those tools. We did not compare prices, but for what we got out of it, the prices seemed very high.

They say they guarantee savings up to a half, and I have noticed that my cooling and heating bills are lower than they would have been without insulation. The installation itself was terrific. They came in one day and drilled little holes in the brick, and then sprayed the foam into the brick, and they cleaned up right away. My older home had plaster on the bricks, so there wasn't much space to insulate. They got it all done in a day, and everything was cleaned up perfectly--you would never know that they were here. Had the cost been lower, I probably would have been more overwhelmed by the service.

What the salesman promised is not what was followed through with. They did not have ladders high enough to reach areas that needed to be insulated. They broke at least ten asbestos shingles that were not replaced but just hammered back into place and caulked. When drilling into the building to apply the foam insulate they damaged an electrical outlet, freon line and filled a cool air intake with foam insulate. They sent someone out to clean out the cool air intake. He cleaned it out and left insult residue and drywall dust all over the master bedroom. They did not supply him with a vacuum cleaner so he had to use my shot vac to clean up a section of the room. The insulation residue damaged my shot vac and we could not sleep in the bedroom for at least two days while we cleaned up the drywall dust that was left and regurgitated though the air conditioner. While using the cherry picker (I rented to reach the third floor) they scraped across the awing on the front of the building which will cost an excess of $500 to repair.

The quality of their work was good. I would use their services in the future. They were professional while they worked. They cleaned up after themselves.

I had a static problem that affected everything in the house. Called in November, didn't hear from them until January, and didn't get anything done until March 15th. They only send people down to Cincinnati once per month. Originally the service was ok, but very lousy at the end. They left marks on the vinyl from work in November, and didn't fix until March 15th.

I thought they were a little expensive for the amount of work done. They are probably the one and only provider. They are in heavy demand. Their clean up wasn't very good. Very nice, very polite, thorough job. It was positive overall. B+ overall.

At the rescheduled time (due to weather problems), a three man team arrived and worked conscientiously drilling, filling, and patching the numerous layers of holes around the house. They responded to my questions and did a fast, efficient job. The clean-up was fantastic and the appearance of the home was perfect.

The work was done very quickly and they cleaned up reasonably well. The work is pretty expensive. I was able to be scheduled quickly because of a cancellation. I had to give my credit card number before they could do the work, which bothered me, but other than that they did a fine job.

DOESN'T FOLLOW UP WHEN DAMAGE IS DONE.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY GOT HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND THEY WERE INCREDIBLY CAREFUL IN GOING ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS. THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN.

A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH CLEAN-UP & LEFT A YARD SIGN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. INSULATION WORKS WELL.
