I was difficult to reach by phone after initially contacting the company, but they persisted and we finally caught up. We scheduled a time that evening to review the job. All of my questions were answered and a quote was drawn up immediately. There was no pressure to accept right away as I was in the middle of other quotes. Unfortunately, my wife and I decided to go another route. It had nothing to do with the company, just the type of equipment I wanted installed. The quoted price was great, as was the service to that point.
Description of Work: We contacted USC to get a quote for replacement of our furnace.

Description of Work: The company came out to diagnose the problem and gave us an estimate with a senior citizen discount (I am 61 and my husband is 62 years old) to replace the heat pump/air conditioning unit. The price is very reasonable and no sales pitch and no pressure. Since then, we also had 3 other estimates to consider. We finally decided to work with this company. They came out the day to do the work as requested by us. The worker was very polite, professional and pick up all the mess. He was there for almost 6 hours to get the job done in the cold snowy weather.

+ -1 moreWe had just had the furnace cleaned about a week earlier, NOT through the home warranty. The person from United noticed the filters were filthy, something the first person had not mentioned. He was able to restart the furnace, and showed us how to do it if it stopped working again. He also arranged to come back to replace a couple of parts. We talked with him about options for furnace replacement, he was helpful and full of information. A good experience.
Description of Work: Our oil furnace stopped working on the first very cold day of the year, a Friday, of course. We had just moved into an older home and were covered by a home warranty. Our home warranty place had trouble finding a company that could service an oil furnace before the following week. United was very helpful, the man in the office (Eric?) called around to find a tech who could come out late in the day to help us. (The cost was only $55 because it was through our home warranty.)
