Unique Lawn Care - Cincinnati

Their services have gone well so far. We have used them since this summer. One technician typically come out. The lawn has been looking much nicer since their service. I have had little interaction with the technicians who come out. They come out regularly as scheduled and I do not have to be home for the service.

Lousy results and had numerous communication issues with their workers in coordinating lawn service. Was very disappointed with the service and I now have numerous weeds throughout my yard that I never had before with previous lawn care providers.

They've done everything that we wanted them to do. I haven't seen anything wrong. They left things the way they were. They were persistent in calling us after we got contact with them. After that, we went on Angie's List to see about them. When we were able to meet the price we were looking for and we were able to see other yards in our neighborhood they service. Then we decided to go with them.

While I had some initial issues with this company last year (when I originally purchased their annual service), I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that that was just an isolated situation. Unfortunately, it seems like that is not the case. Their policy is for the annual contract to renew automatically from one year to the next - which is fine, if the contract is the same from year to year. My first misgivings occurred when I received the first treatment for this year, along with an invoice for the single treatment -- instead of the annual pre-pay amount that reflected my original contract. I discovered that error on June 12 and notified the company. They did indeed follow up with a contract for an annual subscription - but with different services and a $70 increase in the price. I have been working with them since June 17 to get the situation resolved. In response to my repeated requests for an accurate version of the contract, they sent me another copy - which was EXACTLY the same as the first incorrect contract they sent me, with the only difference being the date. I again tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's now clear that this was not merely a mistake on their part but a deliberate refusal to address my request.

Lawn treatments are going well, although some spots of my lawn are still weed-infested. Overall, they do a good job and are professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.

It went perfectly. They showed up, did the work and the results are great.

The application was very thorough and service technician took extra time talking with us about ways we could seed bare areas on our backyard. Very pleased!

I initially learned about Unique Lawn Care was through the flyer that they had left in my porch. On seeing the flyer I was about to throw it away assuming that it might be one of the numerous ones who do door to door marketing during the spring. But somehow I checked them out in Angies List and seeing the positive reviews decided to give them a chance. I am not disappointed at all.The provider has performed exceptional service. I definitely recommend them.

They charge around $79 or something for each application. The pricing is not too good; it's expensive. The quality is okay.

I was happy with the service I guess. I didn't really have any issues with their service. Since then I did switch from them to Oasis Lawn and Turf partly because the owner of Oasis is a neighbor of mine and they gave me a deal that basically matched with any lawn cares. I guess I felt the irrigation was not penetrating the soil too deeply and the following year, it was when Oasis is doing it. I was happy to see that the plugs were much larger. The yard was fine, I didn't have problems with the weeds and the grass growth was pretty much what we want.

Only have had one treatment so far but things are looking up.

I liked them a lot. It is a yearly deal and I don’t remember how much it is now. I like that they tell you what needs to be done to make it look better, you can either do it yourself or have them do it. They are very knowledgeable taking care of the lawn.

Always calls before coming. Treatments have been great for our lawn, and follow up is great. I would recommend Unique Lawn Care.

They did put an application down, but I wasn't here when they did it. As far the results they put out weed killer and fertilizer and that seem to handle things. They were here promptly. I would use them again in the future.

They did a good job. They are fairly new, they started mid-season last year and I thought they were fine. We'll tell again at the end of this season. I feel that their pricing is fair.

All visits have gone according to plan per weather, and provider has been going about calling to inform us of issues. In addition to the maintenance program, also provided lawn seeding this past fall. Haven't really had time to see the effects of the care on the lawn since we started in the fall and spring isn't here yet, but after seeing how the weed prevention goes this spring - or more to the point, NOT seeing it - we'll know more.

They did a good job last year but we had some issues with the person who called to let us know they were planning to put down a treatment. There was a misunderstanding in their office and someone called us after we had already told them it was OK to treat and left a curt message about whether or not we wanted our lawn done. We were not going to use them again this year based on the person's attitude who left the message but they talked us into coming back one more year. They said there were problems with the person who left the message and he doesn't work there anymore. They do very good work at a good price. Just be careful when you tell them to aerate a the end of the year. The price is very high. We told them to do it without asking the price and it was really high. Had we known the price, we would not have had it done. Always as the price for special services or extra treatments.

Lawn improved to a quality we had not seen for a few years.

Great customer service by owner. Only disappointment in cutting too fast, leaving ruts. And edging too often, which enlarged my flower bed. However, when drew attention to these problems, they did improve.

I am happy with their service. They were on time, they did a good job, we didn't see any more weed. The interaction was very well.

Overall, Unique did a decent job I had them for three seasons. My biggest issue was every time they did a service they left an invoice with a rating systems that rated my yard from 1-10. As I looked over the past years invoices I noticed my yard was always a 5. I called to speak to a manager about this and got a supervisor that told me my yard needed to be seeded because it was thin. My question to him was - why did you never say anything to me about this in the past? They then quoted me a very large price to slice seed my yard - I had someone else do it for half the price quoted. Thier service and response to any other issue I had was not a problem and the price was quite fair, except for the seeding price. My yard still has quite a few weeds, but this can be due to how thin it was (I do not blame this on Unique). I am hopeful the seeding I had done last fall improves this situation. I have selected another company to service my yard hoping I will see a difference. I think Unique is a good company that does a good job overall.

Appreciate them always calling in advance - though sometimes late the night before. During the call I ask about the treatment, fertilizer composition, expected impact, etc. Knowledgeable about lawn weeds. Thought I had crabgrass, technician correctly identified as nimbleweed, which is only controlled with Roundup. They provide a single sheet description of service provided and seasonal tips. They have honored the negotiated price and done a good job.

The outcome produced by the service was fair. There were issues with even application which resulted in some issues. While the service has not been up to expectations, the provider has stood behind their claims of customer service and fixing the issues. We have decided to keep the service for another year in response the strong customer service commitment.

Update: Unique Lawncare read my Angie's post and called me the next day trying to make things right. They took responsibility for "dropping the ball" and has offered some free service, without obligation, to try and rectify the concerns. I appreciated that they stepped up and took ownership even if it was late. I'm accepting their free offer and then will re-evaluate if I will continue with them. I've used them for the past 2 years. As I recall they originally said they use all organic fertilizer but I found out later that wasn't the case. They have always been polite; timely; and call before they come. My disappointment is that after 2 years my lawn didn't look any better than my neighbors who didn't have a professional lawn service. I brought this up to them and they did come out (I wasn't at home) and left a note that said they didn't do anything wrong. I had to re-contact them to talk to them and expressed what I thought was a reasonable expectation that my lawn should look better than my neighbors who did not use a service. They reiterated that they didn't do anything wrong. I am going back to doing it myself.. much cheaper and at least as good of results.
