ULTRAMAID

On the day of our appointment, the woman arrived 15 minutes late, and that never sets well with me. My time is tight, and as important as their time. However, stuff happens. She was not rude, but not friendly. She was here for 20-25 minutes. As she was leaving, I asked her if she wanted my e-mail address to send the estimate, but she said she'd mail it. That's fine, but she came to our house on 7-20-12 and I didn't receive the estimate until 7-30-12! In the meantime, I had interviewed 4 other individuals or companies, and received their estimates on the day of our meeting or the next day.

We "inherited" Ultra Maid from previous owners of our house. They were very prompt and efficient, but the cleaning job was just average. I decided to go with new cleaners due to the level of cleaning service and what I felt was an unprofessionalism, e.g. cleaners never said hello when they arrived and when a minor winter storm came, the cleaners never showed up and the owner never called to let me know they would not be coming. When I called the owner to let him know we were going with another service, he had no interest in retaining me as a customer or discussing my concerns.

Spent $260 first time they cleaned, even though estimate was $150 "tops." Very expensive, but did a great job! Second time was a total disaster. Dog hair, crumbs, etc. in all the corners of my hardwood floors. Didn't clean areas specifically instructed to do, but cleaned items marked "only if you have time." When I contacted the company to inform them of the quality of work, the representative told me they would tear up the check and then hung up on me. When I called back to make sure we weren't just disconnected, I was informed that he did not have time to deal with me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

I called 4 days in advance to schedule housecleaning at a rental home of mine. They required that I be in the vacant house during the duration of their cleaning, which I did not like, but agreed to. They said they would give me 30 minutes notice to arrive at the home, and took 2 of my phone numbers. They never called me, I waited all morning for their notice. I have new tenants arriving the next morning to get their keys and move in. I will have to go over and clean myself after my husband gets home from work tonight. I heard good things about this company on this website and am so surprised at their lack of professionalism. They have shown no attempt to make this right.

Connie and Michelle don't waste a moment. I was the fifth house they were cleaning that day and their energy and attention to detail were more than satisfactory. I had a list of a few extras I needed cleaned and they did those cheerfully and well.

EVERYTHING WAS FINE, EXCEPT THEY DID NOT CLEANUP THE RESIDUAL WATER ON THE BASEMENT FLOOR AFTER CLEANING IT. I DON'T BELIEVE THEY EVEN HAD THE EQUIPMENT TO DO SO.

DID NOT RETURN CALLS FOR AN ESTIMATE.

I LOVED THEIR PRICES, AND I THOUGHT THAT THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB. I REALLY APPRECIATED THE OWNER, BECAUSE HE WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO GET ME IN ON SHORT NOTICE. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WITH THEM WAS THAT THEY WERE 35 MINUTES LATE.
