We had our floors refinished by another flooring contractor who unfortunately did a terrible job twice. When I first met with Eric I was 100% convinced they could fix all the issues caused by the first company and give us a level well finished ash hardwood floor. Their workers were on time, professional, friendly and real craftsmen. Our finished floor now looks awesome and we are so glad we went with Totally Floored. Pretty simple concept in that Eric told us that they could look like new and that's what they did.

They were diligent about removing the squeaky baseboards. They estimated a day an a half. Ended up staying an extra hour or so to complete in one day.

They helped us (patiently!) through the process of deciding what wood to use and the layout. Originally we had wanted maple but decided to go with another wood because many companies would not stain maple. But Totally Floored said they could could do it so maple it was. Ironically, though, after seeing the character of the wood we decided NOT to stain it in order to highlight the color variation. Our installer was friendly, punctual, courteous, took the time to answer questions and most importantly...DID A GREAT JOB! If you have read this far, you can stop shopping; you can't go wrong with this outfit.

The project went beautifully! The estimate was certainly more than other companies (we got 6-7 estimates, Totally Floored priced out in the top 3 more expensive companies)--Eric is very forthright that their company's price point can run 10-20% above other companies at the time of the estimate. I liked Eric from the beginning. He seemed very knowledgeable, approachable and trustworthy from our first meeting to look at the project. I also appreciated that he was able to arrange for me to see his most recent project in another client's home. (That homeowner was an excellent reference, by chance, as the family was home when I came by to see the project.) Our project was certainly a big one, but Eric and his team were able to stick by the proposed timeline. This is particularly impressive considering that we ran into unexpected issues during the new hardwood install (inadequate subflooring). The near-dustless sanding and premium staining were well worth the added cost. We especially appreciated that they showed us both basic staining and the premium staining to let us choose between the 2 techniques. We also enjoyed that the color of the stain was custom mixed to our preference, and that we were able to see test swatches on our floors before finalizing the color selection. We can't say enough good things about Eric's team (Tom, Brady, Jacob---I'm going to feel AWFUL if I messed up their names!!). This team worked hard, showed up on time, stayed late when necessary, and kept our home neat. They pitched in with other home issues, such as errant movers who didn't have tools to take apart the beds, helped move other furniture to get the errant movers out more quickly. We were comfortable granting Eric and his team full access to our home during the work period. Even after we moved back in, we found some minor areas we wanted touched up (including scratches that were our fault when moving the refrigerator back in) and the team gladly came back to finish the job. We did not have to pay a cent until the project was completed. This was vastly different from other companies who wanted as much as 50% upfront, which we were not comfortable with. We are so happy with the work Totally Floored Inc did for us!

Eric, Tom, and Jacob were very nice and very professional. Eric does a very thorough inspection when quoting to eliminate mistakes and missed expenses. What we got is a beautiful set of hardwood floors. They worked with us to select the right color to match existing cabinets. Our floor was one of those Bruce pre-finished floors which are very tough to strip - all esimators told us that. Eric laid out a plan, identified a few areas he would like to clean up from the original flooring installation, and we chose the inset floor registers versus the cheap metal ones the builder uses and they look awesome. They used the "dustless method" and it is pretty amazing how little dust they make. Escecially since they had to sand like crazy to get that factory pre-finished stuff off. A light dusting is all we were left with, not a pile of dust everywhere. They weren't the cheapest quote I received, but they had excellent service, seemed very competent, and delivered on their "low dust" claim. We did have a slight finish issue in part of the floor that they had to come come back for, but they corrected it quickly and to our satisfaction and wouldn't take payment until we were satisfied. This is a good company.

Eric did an amazing job at a fair price, and didn't try to convince me that the entire floor needed to be refinished. He put a lot of effort into matching the repaired color to the existing flooring and did such an excellent job that it's almost impossible to see where the repair was made. I highly recommend Totally Floored.

In summary, Eric and his team at Totally Floored did a fabulous job refinishing our kitchen, powder room, entry way, and pantry hardwood floors. I interviewed six (6) different companies (all found on Angie's List) in an attempt to find a company that would treat my home like it was their home and their wife was going to review the results! Eric's approach and experience was far and away above all of the others interviewed. His personality and commitment to client satisfaction came through in every conversation we had. He showed me recent examples of completed projects and talked candidly about what could and could not be done. We had Eric and his team come in and sand and refinish our floors while we were on vacation. While I would have been extremely concerned about allowing virtual strangers into my home while I was gone, Eric's character put me at ease and allowed us to enjoy our trip while he completed the job. When we arrived home the transformation of the floors was stunning, He flawlessly matched the color and sheen of the newly refinished floors to the other hardwood floors on the first floor that were done several years ago. He lived up to the reviews that were posted on Angie's list and other online review services. A note about his claim of dustless sanding. He did not exaggerate the claim. When we came home from our two week trip there was no more dust in the house then one would expect after two weeks of not dusting. His approach and the tools he uses all but eliminated the dust. He was not the lowest bid. However, as many have found out, taking the lowest bid does not always end well and does not mean that you will not spend more in the long run. We have had other more commonly known flooring companies sand and refinish our floors previously in this house and the home we lived in prior to this one and we have never been as satisfied as we are with Totally Floored. Totally Floored was the best choice!

Eric and his team were great! The estimate process was quick and the actual work itself was very thorough with a high attention to detail. We even had some unexpected damage and issues come up when we tore up our old floors, and Eric and his team addressed all of them, ensuring the best quality and solution. Eric even came out to our house after houses to fix an unexpected issue that arose! I would definitely recommend Totally Floored. We were extremely impressed with the end result and love our new floors.

I had an excellent experience with Totally Floored from the time of first meeting through to completion of work. The owner himself came out to estimate the job and I was impressed with him immediately. He pointed out problem areas that others had missed and gave me the feeling of confidence you want when you are hiring someone to do a major--and largely unsupervised--job. Their quote was fair...not the highest but not the lowest, either...and for the quality of workmanship and professionalism, well worth every penny. Eric and the team at Totally Floored did an outstanding job repairing and refinishing the hardwood floors on our home’s main level and staircases. We’d had a bad experience with a previous refinisher: waves, drips and stain splashed on our white trim. Totally Floored eliminated the waves with proper sanding, repaired water damage in the kitchen, and refinished our floors to like-new condition. One secret to their success: the three experienced employees do all the work themselves, using no subcontractors, a common practice in floor installation and refinishing. Eric kept us informed throughout the process, and completed our work on time and on budget. We highly recommend Totally Floored for their expertise, professionalism and exceptional customer service.

Eric responded to us immediately, can to our home on a SUNDAY, assess the damage, identified what needed to be done, allowed us to ask questions as he guided us through the corrective action process. He actually started that day, Sunday evening, and completed it the next evening: He did a light sand to remove a layer of poly, knocked down/evened-out the 'waves' and piling, and re-polyed the floor (one coat). Eric turned an awful job/experience into what we assess as an 'excellent' make-over. Eric/team did not do a 2nd coat of poly based on their recommendation due to the coats of poly that had been applied over the 12 years, so one layer was just fine and looks great. Eric/team saved the day and our floors which we are now proud of and will be for many more years to come! We love our new floor! Eric and his team were very professional, courteous and prompt. Tom spent extra time and effort to make sure that the color was exactly what we wanted. The sand-less system they used was great - very little dust to clean. It was worth the money! We would highly recommend them!

Good. Prompt response. Initial assessment--I was late for and they waited for me to return home. Good assessment of the floor damage cause. Floor was repaired and refinished. Had assistance with moving furniture. Floor looks great and can't tell where the floor boards were replaced.

Excellent! I felt very comfortable with Eric and his recommendations when he came to assess our floors. I had specials needs with an elderly parent and he was great about working with her requests. Tony did the majority of the work and did an outstanding job. He is a perfectionist and the floors look brand new! Eric was incredibly prompt at every turn and very responsive. His team was professional and neat, and the floors look amazing! They were very flexible: I have a small house and couldn't move all the furniture out at once, so we found two separate weeks so that he could do the living room one week and the bedrooms the other.

The team at Totally Floored was awesome. They were very professional and did excellent work. I am totally pleased with this company and the professionalism of this company. They have a very high knowledge of floors in general and explained certain areas of my floor. They paid attention to every detail and the end result is fantastic! My floors never looked as good as it does now! Even my toe strips look great. Eric was great. We recently purchased a home and the hardwood floors were iin terrible condition. It appears that there was likely water damage and/or a lot of wear and tear on the floors. We had Eric come out and give us an estimate. He let us know that due to the condition of the floors that they would require to be sanded four times to get them ready to be stained. The results were extremely impressive and we loved the color. Eric was always professional and he achieved results that have blown our family and friends away. Our floors look and feel like brand new now. We highly recommend Totally Floored now.
