In a moment of madness, we decided to buy a house listed and quot; as-isand quot; The inspector found that the covering on the outside of the main wire into the house was frayed and water was running down is into the service box. There was some rust in the service box. Also the sump was run by an extension cord to an outlet about 5 feet away. There were no ground fault outlets in the house. There was some exposed wiring under the kitchen sink. Our real estate agent recommended TMI. Tim used the inspector's report to make a bid and we went with it after checking for similar work done on Angie's list. He met with my husband at the house and went through everything he was going to do. My husband went back after the work was completed and was very pleased with the quality of the work. We were impressed by the price and the professionalism.
Description of Work: TMI added ground fault outlets in 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. He also replaced existing power circuit including deadhead, 250-amp service box, added separate line for the sump pump.

We had been introduced to TMI by our real estate agent who recommended the company to do some electrical work in an and quot;as isand quot; house we just purchased. We were so pleased with the work done at the new house, we brought him back the day todo some work in our current house we are getting ready to put on the market. About 10 years ago, my husband, Greg, installed overhead lights above the dining room table. He ran these light off an extension cord he ran in the attic. We used a remote to turn the lights off and on. This was fine, but we were pretty sure this would not pass inspection. So after we had work done in the new house, we had Tim come and connect the lights in a more standard way and run them to an existing switch. We are very pleased with every aspect of this work.
Description of Work: TMI wired our dining room overhead lights to a switch on the wall.
