Teasdale Fenton Cleaning & Property Restoration

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was really good. I was really kind of surprised the way they came in. I didn’t know they were going to bring in a huge piece of machinery. It went very well though. There were 2 young men and they were very good. I’ve lived here for 36 years and the air duct cleaning had never been done. They really had to cut out and this is a one story house. I think they should have been aware that the machinery was coming in and that had to be hooked into everything. I doubt if I’m going to use them again in the future because I don’t really have to do it very often, but I would if I needed to.

The experience did not turn out well. I ended up spending an additional $180. I think most importantly, they were very quick in their service, they cleaned 1200sq feet of carpet in about 20 minutes. I don't think there was much detail on it, we had some pet stains that I needed removed, and I paid the additional amount for. They didn't remove the stain, I watched them do it, and they didn't take any more care on that, then they did on the rest of the carpet. They showed up an hour late.

They did a great job from the moment I called them on the phone, to the service the guys provided on the day they cleaned. The price quoted on the phone was the price they charged on the cleaning day. The cleaning guys did try to talk us into doing some of the extra stuff (stainmaster, furniture cleaning), but they were not pushy. They just asked and said it would help. We politely declined, and that was all that was said.

I purchased an Angie's list deal to have the carpets cleaned. It was easy to purchase and set up an appointment that was convenient for me. They called first and arrived when they said they would. Work was done quickly and the carpet looks good altho there are still a few spots that I suppose wouldn't come out. I did have to pay more when they were done cleaning, "environmental fees" I think they called it, so it ended up costing about $20 more than the "deal"

They came prepared to do the work, but when they got here they realized that because of the placement of my furnace they would not be able to do the job completely. He was very nice and honest, and said that he could do half the job, but didn't want to take my money for only half the service. He was able to recommend some other options for me.

I hired them to clean the air ducts but after drilling several holes in my air ducts, they felt we might have a mold issue so they didn't clean the air ducts. Instead of using the $300 for the cleaning, we used it for mold testing. I had to call them for the results after not hearing from them for over a week. We didn't have a mold problem and instead of calling to reschedule the cleaning, they called for payment which had already been made.

We bought the advertised coupon for $199.00. There was about a $150 additional charge for cleaning out the furnace which was not included in the coupon price. They were very nice to deal with. They were exceptionally friendly and VERY professional.

Two service techs (Marcus and his assistant Josh) arrived at the appointed time. Both introduced themselves and gave us the lowdown on what they would be doing and how they would be doing it. After answering a few of our questions, they got busy with the job. They were polite, well trained and thorough. When the dryer vent was cleaned an empty bird's nest was discovered and removed from it - Marcus advised that we should get a dryer vent cover which would prevent further wildlife intrusions. We will do this. This emphasized the importance of regular dryer vent cleaning. A clogged vent is a fire hazard (and dryer lint isn't the only possible cause for blockage) - we were lucky this time. Both cleanings (air duct and dryer vent) took about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to complete. They used forced air for the duct cleaning and a little dust escaped initially from a vent; this was minor, though. The method used involved a machine placed downstairs near the furnace that created a vacuum in the duct system with any debris and dirt being sucked down to a container near the furnace. They went to each vent in the house and used forced air under high pressure to push the dirt and dust into the vacuum they had created earlier. It was not necessary to remove vent covers as the high pressure wand they used fit into the vent slats. Not having to remove the vents saved repainting later as some of the wall vents were stuck, having been painted over previously. All in all, the job went well and we were quite pleased with it.

Just purchased home. Teasdale cleaned all carpets and spot treated pet areas prior to our furniture being delivered. Did nice work. Will likely use them again in the future.

They arrived on time, were very professional yet extremely friendly and polite. They did an excellent job on my carpets and I intend to use their service again in the future and would recommend them to anyone who needs carpet and/or upholstery cleaned.

He was very punctual, professional with conduct, very dependable, and nice to have in the house, but he kind of whiz through here in no time flush. He didn't do a kind of meticulous care that we're used to from the carpet cleaner who used to do the work for us in Maryland. The problem was that, they were in and out of here so fast I can't imagine. They were okay, weren't meticulous.

Two people did a good job. They cleaned my furnace filter with powerful vacuum cleaner too. Were polite and quick. Will hire again.

At the request of Roto-Rooter, Teasdale Fenton came out to our house after Roto-Rooter caused a sewage water flood in our basement on February 12, 2014. They came at about 6:00 p.m. that night and left 2 dehumidifiers and six fans and told us to keep them on until they came back. They never stated when they would come back, in fact getting any idea when they were going to work was very difficult. We just had a brand new wood floor put in that needed to come up now that it was ruined. After the floor dried enough, they sent a crew that had no idea how to get it up. We told them that the company that put in the floor could remove it, we had already gotten a quote from them. They stated Roto-Rooter wanted them to do the work and we could not choose. Roto-Rooter was making all the decisions for our basement. Unfortunately the crew that was sent out had no clue how to remove a wood floor. They broke three ceramic tiles in the process of getting the floor up. After several days they finally got the floor up, leaving a mess in the basement. They chipped the concrete and the floor looks awful. They then yanked off the baseboards causing the drywall to be all broken up, which they were not even going to repair we found out later. They then threw the baseboards in a pile on the floor to reuse. The nails were not taken out and the baseboards were scratched up and warped from the water and from the removal of the floor. There was a layer of dust everywhere which we had to clean. The whole basement is a mess. After removing the floor, they hooked up the dehumidifiers again to make sure the basement was dry, not checking to make sure the hose was in a sink or anything. Water got all over the floor again, which we cleaned up. After seeing all the destruction, we talked to Roto-Rooter's insurance company and had an insurance adjuster come out. She was amazed at all the destruction in the basement and the lack of work completed in over a month and a half time. We decided to go with another company. We asked Teasdale to come out and fix the tile that they broke. They refused to do it after they caused the problem. The tiles were just fine before they showed up. The only good thing about Teasdale Fenton is that the owner of the company did call me and seemed very concerned. He seemed like a very nice person who was trying to help. Unfortunately, the team that was sent to my house did not do a very good job. I cannot recommend this company at all.

Marcus and Josh politely asked if they could come early due to some cancellations and we were happy to oblige. They were very courteous and knowledgeable. Marcus explained the process and answered all questions thoroughly. The job took about two hours. I read that the machine was noisy, so I crated my pets in the garage. The noise wasn't terrible, but it's definitely easier on all parties if you can board them for the day or put them up out of the way. When the team was done, Marcus again explained what they had done, pointed out the small access holes the made (and plugged), and answered our questions. There was a special promotion for the service.

I called Teasdale Fenton after a sewer backup in our basement. I was charged 1,789.00 for 45 mins work, there was still raw sewage a water line and toilet paper left in on the floor. After a call back a second cleaning and still raw sewage left. No refund, no help from management. I would not use Teasdale Fenton!

Very professional and personable techs. Explained the whole process. We added some services while they were there, like dryer vent cleaning which increased the price. Cleaned up debris. |A tip, though, you will have to vacuum due to the process of cleaning the vents. It's worth it to have clean ducts.

They were great. I like the advice that they gave while they are doing it. They were good and their price was pretty good.

They provider told me that me that everything was clean and that I didn't need their services. They were very nice.

I bought this deal for my friend Margie. She moved to a new (to her) house, and it desperately needed some cleaning. Teasdale Fenton was running a great deal on air duct cleaning service, and it was totally worth it. The deal was $129 for main trunk lines and up to 15 ducts, but after he arrived she decided to also have the dryer vent and furnace cleaned, and have a deodorizing treatment, so it wound up being more money. Margie said "My vents are sparkly clean and the guy was fantastic. Was here for hours and did an incredible job on the nastiest ductwork ever...Best value ever!!" i

They called ahead to let me know they would be about 10 minutes late which was fine. One of the men was a cleaning supervisor so I expected the BEST and most thorough service. I have never had my carpet cleaned previously so did not know what to expect. I moved all items on the floor with the exception of beds, dressers, sofa and several chairs. I moved everything from under the beds, expecting that they would clean under there but they did not. They did not move my dining table which I thought they would do (and put something under the legs until it was dry) nor did they move three chairs which I thought they would do. But since this was my first time perhaps I was expecting more than what the normal service is. Since it was the first cleaning, they talked me into extra service on the heavy traffic areas. The drying time was about twice what they told me it would be but I am guessing that was because they put additional cleaning solution on the heavily trafficked areas. The advertised cleaning cost up front was $99 but since they did the additional cleaning solution, it added to the price. They have a half price follow up in six months in which they do the traffic patterns but not the entire floor. I like the fact that it is a family owned business and local rather than a national chain as I prefer to support our local businesses.

This is a horrible company. I don't know who in their right mind would ever hire them unless insurance was paying the bill. They ripped me off royally. They came in and completely tore up my basement and never came back. I will have to hire a different company to do the rebuild. They sent me several invoices for the cleanup but never came back out to do the rebuild. The total cost for rebuild is over $5,000.00, plus $2,000.00 to clean up the water damage. This company is very disorganized. If you want quality work, stay away from this company.
