Description of Work: I actually used Tarvin Plumbing twice. I had called telling them I had a leaky water heater, though it wasn't leaking badly. I emailed a picture and Tarvin told me the sort of water heater I had and priced an exact replacement. My husband and I were researching what sort of water heater to get, when our current water heater began spewing water. I called Tarvin, and a person was able to come out the same day. Turns out we did not need a new water heater, just expansion tank. Office people were very nice as was the plumber that came. | |I needed to have a garbage desposer replaced the next week and called Tarvin again. Office was wonderful and plumber came out that day as well, though I was warned it might have to wait until after Thanksgiving. A different plumber, but he was again nice, quick and professional. | |I don't think I'll ever have to find a different plumbing company.

Description of Work: Had a toilet that wouldn't stop running. They fixed it promptly and efficiently.

Description of Work: They emptied a flue pipe from the water heater that a bird had tried to build a nest in. They also replaced some of the flue duct that had rusted. |We were pleased with the work that was done!

Description of Work: Replaced a hot water circulating pump and expansion tank! This provider marked up the price of part 100% doubling the cost of part from $235 to over $450!! When asked about it they stated it was policy to mark up parts!! The expansion tank was not marked up!! Also I had to pay hourly rate while they picked up part, which I'm fine with but if they are marking up price on parts and making people pay hourly while they pick up parts, doesn't seem right! I wonder how many people have had this happen and never knew because they don't tell you that they are doing!! Only reason I found out was because I asked for copy of receipt for part! At first he didn't want to give it to me! He finally did after I told him I would make a copy and return it to him. He brings it in and the price of part is marked out! I ask where the price is and he states that they don't put it on the receipt!! I make him go get the price and write it in and that's when I realize they double the price of the part! I Called the main office and was told its policy to mark up price on parts! This is not an honest provider and they use Angie's List to their benefit!! The work that was done was good but I will never use them or recommend them because I feel like they are dishonest!! Buyer beware!!!
