From the original call requesting an estimate to the finished job, Tarvin clearly communicated with us and followed through on every promise. The crew called ahead to let us know when they would be arriving and showed up promptly. The job was completed in the predicted amount of time (about two days) and only slightly over the original estimated cost. The Tarvin team cleaned up our basement (which had gotten quite muddy from drilling a hole for the new pipe out to the street) and filled in the sidewalk where they had dug with gravel. We were a little disappointed to find out just before the job started that Tarvin couldn't completely repair the sidewalk themselves, but they explained clearly why that was the case and gave us advice on the appropriate channels for finding a city-approved concrete contractor. All in all, we would highly recommend Tarvin.

From initial phone contact while getting estimates to job completion, I found Tarvin Plumbing employees to be friendly and professional in every way. They arrived on time and as scheduled and completed the work within the initial estimate given (which included changes made on sight that I knew would add additional charges). Tarvin came in and were amazing. Very knowledgeable and were very good passing that info to me. They came out and got the work done in 2 days, cleaned up after themselves very well. They were very reasonable with the price as I did call around to get several estimates. When I saw the roots that came out of the line, how tightly entwined they were, I was amazed anything had been getting through. I know with the work Tarvin Plumbing did, I will not have any more trouble with this line. If I ever need a plumber again you can be sure I will call them with no hesitation.

Upgraded to self cleaning polished brass shower heads for $240.00 a piece. The necks were less expensive. Matt arrived at 8:30AM and left at 3:30PM. He had much difficulty with the kit for the inner workings. My husband assisted him by going in and out turning the water on and off with out a thank you, I might add. He tried two different kits and we suggested he call Kohler for assistance, which he did about 2:30PM. He was putting the part on upside down. All went well after he called. They adjusted our bill, subtracted three hours of labor. I feel if he had called sooner, I could of had a free afternoon. Perhaps a little ego at work here?

HE CLEANED OUT THE TUB AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING PROPERLY. HE WAS VERY NICE, VERY PUNCTUAL. HE ALSO FIXED A RUNNING TOILET THAT I HAD PURCHASED PARTS FOR (WHICH WERE THE WRONG PARTS). HE HAD THE CORRECT PARTS ON HIS TRUCK AND FIXED IT RIGHT THEN. HE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT.

They were prompt and did a good job. The only problem was that I got quoted one price on the phone, but when they got here, there was a travel charge that was added to the price I was quoted.

The service was terrific! The plumber was polite, clean, punctual, and very, very good at his work. He left me free to do my own work in the meantime. Very professional.

So far, I am happy with the work, but the price was high. I was charged $85 per hour for labor. They charged me for 1.5 hours when the plumber was only there for one hour. He told me he had to charge me for travel time and I only live 5 minutes away from their office on Eastern Avenue.

Taravin Plumbing gave us an estimate over the phone for $500 to $600. They arrived the next morning and completed the work for $602 (this included a $20 discount coupon). The plumber was friendly and cleaned up all the mess made.

First rate. Called on Sunday night - left a message. Rep called Monday morning to say a Plumber was on the way. He arrived a half hour later and did a classy job.

I called Tarvin first thing in the morning and they had someone at my house by lunchtime. In addition to successfully accomplishing the desired work, the plumber was courteous, quick, and didn't leave a mess. I can see why this company has been highly rated on Angie's List for so long. I plan to continue doing business with them.

The floor drain in the laundry room in the basement had backed up with gunk and who knows what else! It only happened once on that Sunday. I called Tarvin that day. The plumber on call called me back and said he could come out but of course it would be very expensive. I opted to make the appt. for the next day Monday. The plumber arrived the day of the appointment. He found the problem. It only happened when one of the three toilets in the house was flushed. He called another crew to come in who had the bigger and better equipment to do the job. They did their work efficiently and fixed the clogged pipe. They also cleaned up as well as the could. Of course I had to go back and clean with Clorox and Lysol after they left. They didn't charge any extra because of the to call into a second crew. I was very pleased with how everything was handled. I mentioned I was a member of Angie's List and they gave me a $25.00 discount.

Response was very quick, plumber very cordial and professional. Did a perfect job and even looked around and made another repair because he noticed some corrosion on a pipe. He cleaned up after he finished the repairs.

I called about the cracked tank last week, but told them there was no hurry since I have 2 other toilets. They promised to call Tuesday morning at 8 and have a serviceman here by 8:15 which he was. I also mentioned that I was a member of Angie's List. He was aware of the $25 coupon that could be printed out from this site and had no problem with my using it. The service technician, Steve, was very polite, discussed the repair with me, replaced the old toilet with one he brought with him, cleaned up all the mess including the wall behind the old tank and hauled the old toilet away. We discussed the faucet that was running very slow and he cleaned it out so that it works great now. We also discussed a kitchen faucet that needs the diverter replaced, but it's not a standard size and needs to be ordered. I decided to wait on this. After figuring out the bill, I received a $25 coupon to use on my next plumbing call. If you need plumbing work this is the company to call.

The repair men were thorough and professional in their work. The cost is more on the high side, but at the end of the day, I think it's worth it.

The work went very well. The clog was very far down in the pipe system and required the entire length of the snake, but Ellis persevered until it was clear (and took extra care not to track gunk all over the place). The sink drains wonderfully now. I have no complaints at all about the work but felt the charge was a bit pricey, hence the ''B'' in that category (I had an Angie's list coupon, so the total before the discount was $158). I would not hesitate to call Tarvin again, however.

The service person was very friendly and quick to offer suggestions and resolution. He provided a solution that will eliminate the need for future changes.
