Steve fixed two problems with the sink. One faucet would not turn all the way off resulting in a continuous drip and there was a leak in the pipe below the sink.

Steven did a great job replacing our pedestal style sump pump with a submersible style sump pump so that we could have a radon remediation system installed. The work was done in a very timely manner and there was no mess left behind.

I called Steve Cropper at his regular number. Note that he also has an emergency number if you need him asap. I left a message on his VM. He called me back in 15 minutes and in less than 20 minutes, he was at our door, ready to repair the leaky faucet. He has always been a creative problem solver. Immediately he figured out what to do to fix the upstairs shower handle that was stripped and it looks and works fine. The streaming faucet on our tub was another problem. The fixtures are older and I thought he might suggest replacement, but he figured out that problem as well as the threaded tub stopper. He doesn't waste time and he is hard worker at any job that you present to him. What I like best about him besides his quality workmanship is his authenticity-this man is kind, sincere and honest. I trust his opinion on what should be done and how it should be done and his prices are always reasonable on a job well done. My husband and I would not call anyone else. Over 30 years, he has been our plumber in 3 different houses. We even remember him in earlier days when he had hair! :-) He has replaced faucets for us, put in sump pumps and back-up sump pumps, replaced water heaters, put in new toilets, and extracted roots from exterior drain pipes. Honest, reliable, reasonable, great trouble shooter-what more could a person need in a plumber?! We would also add that he is a super nice polite fellow as well.

Steve acted as if we were a bother with such a tiny job. But we wanted to see if there was something bigger going on. Couldn't get him to look much beyond the surface.

Mr Cropper did not show for the initial appt we set. I took off work for this appt. He insisted he tried to confirm via phone but no missed calls on my cell. I had used Mr Cropper in the past and he had been punctual and arrived at the time we previously set. When I called him about the no show, he called back and we then set a new appt time in two weeks. Mr Cropper did change out both faucets but one of them dripped water under the bathroom cabinet. I notified Mr Cropper and he returned and attempted to repair. After he left, the fixture continued to drip water. I attempted to contact Mr Cropper several times but he did not return my calls and I was left with a dripping fixture. I am very,very disappointed in this provider. As I stated, I had used him multiple times in the past and recommended him to others. This is no way to treat a very loyal customer. I will not recommend him in the future.

Mr Cropper showed up promptly. He checked our water heater ,giving us the option of fixing the fire vent or replacing the heater which he said would be his choice. I'd already been told that this 12 yr old heater would continue to trip off since it had already reached its expected useful life. We decided to replace it. It took him practically no time to get a replacement heater. His work was very clean & prompt. He was courteous & efficient. Worked fast & left everything clean. He also removed the old heater & all the boxes & papers leaving the area just as he had found it.

Great, the appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM. Lowell arrived on time, prepared to begin work. He and his associate moved a china cabinet and hallway table, put down tarps and went to work. Unhooked the old water heater, removed it from the basement and installed the new gas heater and accessories. He noticed a valve that was not good and that might give us a problem and he fixed that too. He also turned on all of the faucets to get rid of the air and make sure everything was working properly. The work took approximately 3 hours, Lowell showed us the new installation, described the workings, cleaned up and left. We are absolutely delighted with the service, the work and our dealings with each of the employees. Quality always shows! jl

They're excellent. I've used them many times over the years and they always do a good job.

I've used them for several years. I purchased the faucet. He is very honest and the pricing is very competitive. They are probably cheaper than some. He has been in business for many years. He doesn't try to sell me anymore than what I need. He was recommended to me. He has put in toilets and put in and taken out rings in the toilets. In 2008 he replaced a water heater. My son and daughter also use them at their own homes. I don't have any issues with him. He is dependable and comes on time. He calls in advance to let me know he is coming or if he is delayed.

No big long story. He is simply a good plumber.

I could not have been more pleased. Steve came out and discussed when he could do the job and how much it would cost. I was leaving town and he was able to install the hot water heater before I left. He was very professional in every aspect of the job. He came on time, installed the heater, removed the old heater, and cleaned up the work area. He charged me what he had quoted me. I will definitely use him again. I have recommended him to several friends who have used him and have been as pleased and impressed with him as I was.

All went well. After installation of new sump pump, water stopped seeping into the basement. See above.

steve used to do my mom's plumbing when she was alive. he would do her dishes for her. this is what actually made me call him when i needed a plumber in the eastgate area. how many men, let alone a professional, will do a woman's dishes? steve is sober, intelligent, very clean, courteous and knows his profession very well. i was very satisfied with the quality of his work and he cleans up after himself. considering all of this, i thought his price was reasonable. you honestly get what you pay for. thanks, steve.

Mr. Cropper may be a fine plumber. BUT after calling a few of times and finally reaching him he said that he would be coming on a "Tuesday" and call me on the Monday before. No call on Monday, but I stayed home (from work) all day Tuesday because we were really in a bind. I tried reaching him again, unsuccessfully. So I can't give an opinion on the quality of his work or his price. But as to Responsiveness, Punctuality & Professionalism: I don't think I'm being too harsh in giving him an F. By the way, he never did call.

It was great. He is very reliable and pleasant to deal with and I recommend him to my friends. He comes when he says he is. He is one of the better plumbers I have ever used.

He is very polite and professional. Does our backflow reading every year. When he comes out for that, I always have various other items that he is more than willing to check out for me.

I called him on the basis of an Angie's List report. He was going to call me back, but he couldn't give me a specific time. He never did call back so I called him and always got the answering machine. The one time he returned the call was in the evening. I tried to set up something, but he never returned my calls so I just gave up on him. I called him because he was rated high on Angie's List so when I talked to him and told him about the work he said he might be able to do it and he would call me back when he had a better idea of his schedule. He did not call me back, even after I called him and left messages.

He called the day of the installation to see if he could come a few minutes early. He was a very pleasant, professional man. He answered all of my questions and explained what was involved in doing the installation. He cleaned up after he had finished the job and actually did the job for $25 less than his original estimate because he was able to use a smaller expansion tank because of the size of my hot water heater.

He is very nice. He is very business like. He doesn't talk down to me. He tells me exactly what the problem is.

They were on time to do the job asked of them. They were very professional while they worked. We were very happy with them. The quality of their work was very good.

Now everything works. He was very clean and professional. I have called after the initial job and he will not return my calls now, something is wrong.

CAME QUICKLY ON A SUNDAY. WHEN HE SAW THAT I WAS LIMPING HE OFFERED TO CLEAN UP SEWAGE. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE AND I THOUGHT INCREDIBLY REASONABLE (CHEAP) PRICE FOR A WEEKEND.

WE HAD VERY COMPLICATED PROBLEMS WITH OUR WATER HEATER THAT COULD NOT BE RESOLVED BY OTHER COMPANIES. WE FINALLY CALLED CROPPER TO REPLACE OUR WATER HEATER. HE HAD A WONDERFUL ATTITUDE ABOUT THE WORK AND I FEEL HE TREATED US VERY FAIRLY. HE EVEN CAME TO TAKE A LOOK AT OUR PREVIOUS SYSTEM AT NO CHARGE. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
