Smooth Moves Piano Movers

My daughter used the service. She went to see the piano advertised at 9:00, bought it that morning--contacted the mover, who moved it that afternoon. She was delighted with the timeliness and the professional attitiude of the movers.

It went fine. They were on time, they got it done and I did not have any problems. They were specifically piano movers yet everyone else was an actual mover and way expensive.

We don't have walkways from the front of the house to the back, just yard that slopes down to a walk in sliding door in the basement, so I thought I would hire a professional to make that move. I found Smooth Moves on Angie's List and the reviews were good. I talked to Joe and we set up the appointment. The guys came over today and had the piano moved in less that 15 minutes. I have helped move a piano before and it was a nightmare, but this seemed to be quite a simple job for Smooth Moves!! Well worth the money!! Also, one of the guys (Pat) is a piano tuner and we will definitely be using him to take care of that in the very near future. Great job and I highly recommend them.

It's a small company that values your business and wants you to be happy. That's why I love Smooth Moves! Pianos are surprisingly delicate instruments and can be easily damaged if not moved properly. Smooth Moves are very experienced movers that know the right way to move pianos. I've used them at least 5 times (I moved a lot in college), and I've always been pleased with their work. They quoted me based on the size of the piano and the number of stairs involved in the move. If they see you often (as they did me), then they may offer a discounted rate, too. They arrived on time and did a quick walk-through to decide on the best plan to move the piano. From there they decided to take a door off the hinges to get the piano out of the house (after the piano was on the truck, they reattached the door). The move-in also necessitated a door removal. The piano is padded and secured in the truck during transport, too. They want to make sure that your piano doesn't get a scratch on it through the entire process, so they'll go the extra mile to be sure. They are extremely friendly and enjoy what they do. You'll be glad to know them!

From the first phone call for an estimate, this company was extremely professional and friendly. They gave me a great estimate, I called a few other companies and found that this company was not only the lowest price, but the most friendly. They were flexible in when they could move my piano. They set up a time and confirmed the day before, then called upon their arrival. All three movers were friendly and considerate. They took great care of moving the piano both from one house and into the other - even voicing concern regarding the floors in the new home. Great company - great service, and great deal! AND if you need a piano tuner after the move, give them a call!

The experience was pleasant and professional. They did a great job of accommodating our schedule, following up with scheduling details and following through as promised. The delivery was flawless and the piano was well,cared for in the transition.

He arrived on time, moved the piano quickly and safely. My only complaint is that he is very hard to reach by phone, but he does call back.

They were fantastic. They did not charge me because the Piano was a donation. They charged $40 to move the freezer from the basement into the garage.

The piano had to go down a long narrow flight of steps to be removed from my neighbor's home and then had to go up more steps to get it into my house. The guys were very careful and methodical during the move, and the piano made it safely into my living room. It didn't even go out of tune.

Very responsive on the phone. They were able to provide an accurate estimate both for the total cost and the day the move would happen. They called the day before to confirm the time, within a 15 minute window, for both locations. During the move, they were able to meet those time commitments.

The two men that came were very polite and professional. They were very careful moving the piano and were done in less than 5 minutes each time. The only complaint is that we thought the price was high. It was $80.00 each time for a total of $160.00. This is the first time we had the piano moved so I'm not sure if this price is typical for piano movers. We did not check any other companies.

When I called, I was able to get a hold of someone with the first call and he was able to fit me in the next day. They called 15 minutes prior to pickup for my friend's house, then 30 minutes prior for the dropoff at my house. The delivery men took their shoes off when they delivered and made sure that it was in the right spot in my house. They were very nice.

I hired Smooth Moves to move a Baldwin piano from Cincinnati to a church in Carrollton, KY (a donation). The movers picked up the piano the day before the actual delivery to the church. I provided them with a friend's contact info who coordinated the delivery at the church side. Joe with Smooth Moves called the church contact the day ahead to advise when to expect the delivery at the church. My friend at the church said the following: "The movers were great. They were on time. Which has never ever happened before when having something delivered. Usually they give the 30 minute window and they show up 2 hours after that! They were super polite, stayed to chat for a minute. They were just fantastic". A positive experience overall.

It was done very quickly and effeciently. It was great to not worry about steps, door frames, or the instrument.

In moving our piano Smooth Moves was exceptionally competent, professional and very reasonably priced. They responded quickly and arrived exactly when they said they would. They were very personable and we immediately felt at ease with them. I would definitely recommend them!

These guys were great. Completely professional from the get go. The timing was essential since our movers had a tight time window. Smooth Moves arrived exactly as planned. They navigated some tight turns and steep steps with no problem. It was an A+ experience all the way.l

These guys were very professional, friendly and courteous. Called the day before with the time they would arrive.They were punctual and had the right tools for the job. They had padding down everywhere so as not to scratch anything. I was having the wood floors refinished so they left padding on the piano to protect in in the interim. Upon returning they were very cognizant of my new refinished floors and took great care not to scratch anything. They moved the piano back in to place on pads and even put my felt pads under the feet before they left. Would most definitely use this company again!
