Contacted me prior to scheduled appointment to confirm my location and expected time of appointment. The day of scheduled he arrived on time, called before arrival to make sure I was home. I was ten minutes late due to another appointment. He listened to my concerns, gave his recommendations on what needed to be completed. Indicated wanted to walk property to check other trees and condition of bushes etc. After his assessment, indicated he would be back within the next few days to complete activity. To my surprise he actually returned later the same afternoon to complete the work. Work was completed quickly. In fact I did not even know they were finished until he knocked on the door for me to come out to review work. Every thing was "PERFECT ! ! ! !" Yard was clean, not extra branches, he walked me through the yard and explained what was completed. Asked if I wanted to have anything else done. He gave me information on the bushes in front yard. Suggestion on best way to care of the bushes. Indicated he would check on them if and when he happened to be in the neighborhood.,... I WAS / AM IMPRESSED....... I would recommend this company to everyone.........

Really liked the detailed work estimate which was provided on 3/18/2015. It reflected a clear understanding of my work request. I also appreciate the very informative flyer on possible causes of tree stress and recommended Sherdec solutions.

well...they did what they said they would do and cleaned up afterwards

Treated and inspected two ash trees on property (both still living) and fertilized all trees on property (except those in woods).

Brought in cherry picker to remove high limbs from mature Ash trees as well as limbs from Bradford Pear tree overriding roof area. Also removed dead limb from Birch tree and treated it for infestation.

I called Sherdec Tree Service to get an estimate on trimming two trees on my property. The person who answered the phone was very polite and nice. She assured me someone would contact me right away. I waited 2 days with no phone call. I called Sherdec again and told them no one had contact me. The person once again assured me someone would contact me by the afternoon. No one ever contact me.

When Tod gave me the quote he was very professional and completely understood what I wanted with the tree trimming. A previous service had "butchered" our trees several years ago. I requested he be on the job himself, as I did not want to go through what happened previously. He gave me a printed quote the same time, as well as the date he could do the work. At the same time he provided a copy of his insurance and a piece of literature on tree health. He showed up with 2 other men on day scheduled. They were running late from an earlier job and I was very impressed by Tod calling and updating me on their delay and new approximate arrival time. In my opinion that is excellent customer service. On arrival they want right to work removing the fairly large ornamental tree. Then started trimming all the large trees. It was a long process and Tod kept checking with us before he did anything major we might not like or understand. He explained the benefit of doing things for the tree's health and we agreed. It will take a few years for some of the trees to produce a lot of shade again, but will be better for the health of the trees. When all the trimming was completed Tod left for another quote and the men remained to clean up all the trimmings. They did a very good job. I highly recommend this company for any tree work needed.

Quick callback, and estimate, followed by prompt service. Did exactly what promised and followed up during service to make sure the pruning was exactly what I wanted. Plus, did a good job cleaning up afterwards. Would recommend them to neighbors and friends.

They would never return my calls. I have voice mail set up on my phone and was not left any messages while I was away, so I'm pretty confident that I didn't miss a call from them.

I called Sherdec to get advice & an estimate on trimming several trees. They looked rather uneven and I thought they needed to be shaped up. The Sherdec guy came out, examined the trees and told me that they really didn't need trimming. None we're badly misshapen. I'm sure a less honest person would have started cutting without giving me a straight answer. I will certainly call them again!

The work was scheduled to be performed in mid-September. They showed up to do the work and did cut down the three trees. It then started to rain very hard, so they left, leaving large logs and many small limbs and debris in our yard. I assumed they would be back the next day to finish and clean up. After almost a week, they still had not shown up. I called Sherdec and the person I spoke to did not seem to understand that they had not finished the job. I explained to her what had to be done and she said they would send someone back to do it. They showed up a couple of days later and removed the logs, limbs and debris. They did a mediocre job of cleaning up, but did do some clean up. They did not, however, do the rest of the work they were supposed to do -- remove some dead limbs from two other trees and treat an Oak tree. After more than a week, they still had not returned to do that work, so my wife called them. The person she spoke to was apologetic and said they had been really busy, but she did not seem to know what work still needed to be done until my wife explained it to her. On October 17, they showed up to finish the work, but the guys who showed up had no idea which limbs they were supposed to remove and did not seem to know anything about treating the Oak tree. When told which limbs they were supposed to trim, they said they were not sure they had the right tools to trim some of them. Apparently they did not, because they still have not trimmed some of the limbs they were to remove and as far as we know they still have not treated the Oak tree. It now has been over a month since they were supposed to do the job and it remains unfinished. (A neighbor arranged for work to be done at the same time as us and Sherdec has not finished their work either. ) In addition, I had quotes from two other companies to do the work and both were much lower than Sherdec's. I went with Sherdec and their higher price because I mistakenly thought I would get better service. I was wrong. The quality of their service is lousy.

Estimate was much less than other 2 companies by over $200. Arborist showed up on time, followed our instructions, cleaned up thoroughly. This tree is huge and was hanging over our roof and chimney causing problems. it also had a lot of deadwood throughout. We were very pleased with the work.

Chris, Austin, and Derrick got to work right away. Chris was up the largest maple cutting off branches and throwing to the ground. Austin removed the sappling and neighbor's dead tree limbs. Derrick carried debris over the fence (didn't want to go through the garage because of the mess)...I have no gate to the outside. Then Derrick was up another tree cutting limbs. They were very thorough and cleaned up all yard debris including small branches/leaves with a rake. I spoke to Austin about the neighbor's "overgrown" backyard that backs up to mine. He is an arborist and mentioned the name of some of the additional smaller trees that were in this overgrown area. Actually it's like having your own "green" privacy fence so I won't complain unless it interferes with my fence.

They came out to give me a proposal, which I accepted. (I had a proposal from a second firm which was slightly lower but I was more confident that Sherdec would do the job right.) Then they did the job about a week later while I was at work and sent a bill. I hardly knew they were there -- couldn't be easier. The yard looks great, and so does the oak tree.

They came the day they said they would. Very courteous. My neighbor wanted to keep a few trees for a privacy issue. They asked me if that was ok, which I really enjoyed. They were very professional. Everything went great.

I told him what I needed done, and he came out and said it would be about twice as much. They had 2 guys come out and do three hours of work.

They arrived and quickly treated both trees. A followup visit by the owner was performed 5/24/2013 to inspect the Ash Trees as some signs of the borer had been discovered the past year. They are closely monitoring these trees and I can depend on them to come promptly when requested and advise me when needed.

Very professional and friendly. Went above and beyond to get me a quote fast so that i could make the deadline to purchase one of their Big Deals. Work was performed the very next day. I will definitely use them again.

I called to request an estimate, and it took a few weeks between calls back and forth before they finally got back to me and came to give an estimate. We did have to reschedule once due to a conflict in my schedule, and they were willing to reschedule the estimate for me. When they did finally come to give the estimate, they were polite and professional. However, their estimate was the most expensive of any we received - approximately $2,000 more than some of them. I do recognize that they were planning to use a crane to do the work (perhaps based on the fact that trucks could not get access to our back yard where the tree was), but their price was far above our budget and our expectations. Needless to say, we chose to use another company for the service.

An appointment was made and I get home around 3:30 in the afternoon,so Igave them permission to start the job before I got home. The tree service tech was already into the job when I got home and he immediately came up to me and introduced himself (Chris) and showe what he had done so far. Chris went over the notes from my initial phone call and asked me what I was looking for in order to clarify his notes. He stayed at my house and did everything that I wanted him to accomplish and made sure that I was totally satisfied before he departed. After I had no more wants from him he cleared away all of the branches that had cut down and used a blower to clear away all the small residue, dust and dirt. He also asked me a few questions about the tree's leaves as far as their color during the year and recommended a product to aid the tree"s leaves and where I could purchase the product from. Chris was very thorough and if I have any more tree issues I will definetly call them again and/or recommend their services to any of my neighbors.

A man came out on Monday to talk about what I wanted done in the front yard. The next day a crew came out and completed the work.

They came shortly after I brought this problem to their attention. They explained what they would do and then promptly proceeded. Once the limbs were down they inspected them thoroughly for traces of the Emerald Ash Borer (this tree has been treated for the borer for several years. They did find traces of the borer and explained that the heavy spring rains apparently diluted the injection treatment. They will re-treat in the spring. They then removed the debris and carefully cleaned up the yard completely. I couldn't be more satisfied. I highly recommend Sherdec Tree for any work that needs to be done. They respond quickly and are reliable and are always ready to make suggestions and answer any questions you may have.

They discussed the removal of the tree with me to make sure I really wanted it removed. It was a nice Little Leaf Linden tree, but the tree roots were growing all over our front yard and it was making it difficult for my husband to cut the grass. The workers who came that day kept making sure this was what I wanted done. I was thinking they are really good people and they definitely care a lot about trees, and not so much about just making money, for if this was the case, the conversation about saving the tree never would have taken place. The tree was removed and they used a stump grinder to remove the stump. They had to return several weeks later to cut out a couple of roots that were left.
