SHADES OF DISTINCTION

This family-owned business did a super job for us in designing and selecting material and colors for a large-sized, multi-windowed room. Tim and Jake were patient, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Back in the main office, Emily was prompt and friendly in replying to our inquiries. We highly recommend Shades of Distinction . . . . they go out of their way to support their customers !!!

It was installed late in 2015. He has been back at least once if not twice each year to "fix" it to the tune of $75 or more for each "service"call. He was out in April of this year and took the thing out to work on it. Brought it back. Doesn't work again. I want my money back!!! Have filed a complaint with BBB. I asked the owner "tim" if he stands behind his products? Obviously not. Wanted me to call manufacturer. Run away from this character run don't walk

Tim Uhl and his son came out and met with me. As soon as I told him what I was looking for, TIm knew exactly what I needed. He suggested Hunter Douglas cordless shades, took the measurements, and was gone within an hour. About 4 weeks later, they installed them, and I love them! They are beautiful. The color matches the pine wood almost exactly. They fit and work great, and are very inconspicuous when all the way up, which is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Tim was wonderful to work with. I was looking for a Hunter Douglas dealer and was happy to see that Shades of Distinction was also on Angie's List. Tim was able to show me a variety of products to meet my needs, and made appropriate recommendations. In some cases, a less expensive product would meet my needs; in others, upgrading made more sense to enhance the view to the outside. Tim worked with my schedule and the blinds were installed in a little over two weeks. Excellent service and quality. I would use Shades of Distinction again without hesitation!

Used shades of Distinction before, liked the quality and professionalism of the staff and shades. Came to measure, timely installation, that's it.

Tim came out to our house on 11/5/13 with samples and to measure the windows. He called the morning of the 15th to say the blinds had come in and could he come out to install them that day. Hunter Douglas custom wood blinds ordered and installed in 10 days!!! At a fair price to boot! Couldn't ask for better service.

We called Rick to give us an estimate for woven wood blinds in our solarium. Rick showed up for the appointment on time with a number of sample books. He took very precise measurements and took his time with me. Rick suggested an alternate supplier for the type of blinds that I wanted that would save me money. I went to Rick's shop at a later date to borrow the samples so I could look at them for a period of time in my home. We thought Rick's estimate for the blinds and professional installation was very reasonable. We have not placed the order yet but will strongly consider it. Estimated cost $2700.

They came out on time and did excellent work. Prices are very reasonable. The people were courteous.

We have ordered blinds and had them installed by this company on our last three homes. Rick has done a fabulous job every time. We recently called him to do our latest home. He came to our home, took the measurements, brought samples and ordered the blinds. We had our custom made blinds in three weeks. Rick did an excellent job installing our blinds. I have recommended him to other people who have also been very happy with their experience.
