That did happen and the Tech found the problem within minutes.l In About an hour we were back on line. I have worked with Schnelle rfor over twenty five years and have no problem recommending them to do your work.. The best part was the invoice with no charges, 'this problem tied back to a previous issue and was under that warranty .

 + -1 moreI called Schneller on a hot Sunday afternoon. (All the other places I called were unavailable until the following week.). Mike was on time and extremely pleasant and professional. A thorough check of the equipment was done and he found that a capacitor had partially fallen from its cradle. This was quickly fixed and clearly explained. Schneller did not charge me except for the service call fee, and didn't try to invent phony problems. I really appreciate that kind of honesty. I was very favorably impressed by everything about this company.
Description of Work: The air conditioner was screeching and the fan was only moving at about half normal speed.

 + -1 moreThe installation went smoothly and I am satisfied with Schneller's service. The only minor complaint I have is that some of the wax that was used to seal the commodes and I think the stack pipes too, was evidently stuck to the workers' shoes and it was tracked onto my basement floor. There was no damage done by this action as the basement is unfinished, but it's still something that will have to be cleaned/removed from the concrete floor. Other than this issue, everything went very well and I am pleased. I will call Schneller again.
Description of Work: The drain stack in the basement of my home needed to be replaced. My home was built in 1965 and still had the original cast iron stack. It had started to corrode and was causing stopped up drains and slow flushing toilets. Schneller replaced the cast iron stack with three inch PVC pipe and connected it to the feeding pipes.

 + -1 moreTwo technicians, one a trainee, showed up. I was not notified of this beforehand and thus couldn't approve or disapprove. I prefer not to deal with more than one person as I am a single woman and want to be safe. I also want to follow the technician around to watch what goes on and ask questions. The two didn't always stay together so sometimes the trainee would be at the outside unit and the technician at the furnace. Other than this, they did a thorough job, even taking the whole outside unit apart to clean it; in that process they found three small wasp nests and got rid of them. About a week later the AC froze (probably due to the extreme outside temps and going in and out of the basement). Turning it off for a few hours solved the problem but the condensation returned two more times. Schneller had advised me to change the filter when the same thing happened a few years ago. So I changed the filter and turned the AC off for a few hours again and that seemed to help.
Description of Work: I had an AC tune-up.

Description of Work: A Schneller technician performed a checkup of our HVAC system which was installed back in 1996. He examined and cleaned the compressor outside, then did the same for the equipment inside. He explained everything he did, answered all of my questions and made recommendations for replacement systems as this system is living on borrowed time. He provided four differently-priced systems, explaining the differences among them. (I should mention this visit was half-price on a Groupon coupon.)

 + -1 moreMy wife called them for the appointment and had a hard time trying to do that. When the scheduled time came the tech was late. My wife had to call to find out what was going on. They came by and finally checked our unit and started telling us a bunch of things were wrong. This unit was installed in late 2011 and has been serviced regularly. We got a quote for the repairs and they was over $1,000. I had my normal HVAC company check it again earlier this year and said everything is fine. Not sure what the other tech saw. We may try them again if our normal company is busy.

Description of Work: We had an air conditioner go out. I called Schneller which I had used before. Pete came out and talked to my wife about replacements. I was out of town on work. I got back and called Pete on a Friday to go with our choice and elected to finance on a 12 month same as cash option. Pete said he didn't see any issue with the financing and said that we could schedule for the next day to have the unit put in. I agreed. The next morning the technicians came in to install the unit. I told them that I had not heard from Pete yet about the financing. The technicians both chuckled and said that Schneller would have canceled the work if the financing wasn't approved. The technicians did a great job and the AC unit works great. A month later I hear from Pete in an email that states " I am reaching out to you about the install of your ac system on 5-4-17. Somehow I failed to secure payment for the installation and moving of the ac unit." this was on a Wed. I was out of town and was unable to call Schneller until 2 days later, on a Friday. I talked to a receptionist who told me a manager would call me, I never received a phone call. That afternoon, Friday, I got a letter from Schneller's lawyer that they demanded payment for services rendered. The letter was dated Thursday. A day after I received the initial email. A manager did call the following Monday and told my wife that he told Pete not to send the letter but Pete elected to anyway. I personally have not heard from any manager or Pete about the issue. I called Schneller to make a good faith payment and was told by the receptionist she would have to talk to a manager about it. A day later the receptionis called me and said her manager told her the could not accept any payment unless it was in full. I can't believe that a manager would not call me andleft that to a receptionist. This who time I never heard from Pete. If I had know that I could not finance the unit with the 12 months same as cash I would have not used Schneller. The management staff has been completely unprofessional. I made full payment with a cashiers check at the Amelia office, because that was the only form of payment they would accept. I told the above story to the office manager who told me that I would be getting a call from Jeremy to discuss what happened. That was 3 weeks ago. I made another review on a different website a I miraculously got a call.
