Description of Work: I pre-paid Angie's List for the service call. The serviceman was nearly an hour late. He did not even look at the problem. He wanted me to agree to an outrageous fee before he would even diagnose the problem. Then when I told him I would not be using his services he tried to charge me for the service call. When I showed him that I had already paid for the service, he would not leave until he made 2 phone calls to make sure his boss knew that he was not getting money from me.

Description of Work: Checked the condition of the AC. The service was fine and the service person was punctual and thorough.

Description of Work: Did an a/c check. The coils were filthy. The tech cleaned them, and charged the freon. My bills were lower the next month.

Description of Work: I have a drain at the bottom of the stairs leading to the basement. It is clogged. The technician ran an auger through the drain. The verdict was that the drain was broken, filled with dirt and mud, and would need to be replaced. An estimate was provided for that repair. Approximately $6,000. Ouch!

Description of Work: The technician did my A/C tune-up through an Angie's List promotion. He was very nice and said everything was great. Two weeks later my A/C froze and I had to call my Home Warranty company. They sent another HVAC company to my home. The technician showed me the problem of freon leaking and said that the prior technician sprayed some gunk to stop it instead of fixing the problem. He showed me the part he had to replace and it had gunk all over it. The Home Warranty technician fixed it and it has been working great. Prior to having the Angie's List technician coming out to do a tune-up, I had not had any problems. The A/C is only three years old. I've been too busy to tell SCHNELLER AIR CONDITIONING HEATING AND PLUMBING about this but I would not use them again.

Description of Work: Schneller replaced our existing 22 year old air conditioner and furnace. After a service call because our air conditioning was not working, it was determined that we had several issues with our air conditioning and motor to our furnace. We were given options of repairing or replacing, and we decided not to put any more money into a 22 year old system. John came out and gave us some options, and explained the various systems they offered. We felt like he gave us a fair price, so decided to go with Schneller to replace our air conditioner and furnace. John was very personable, knowledgeable, and sensitive to our needs. He was not a "high pressure" salesman. Installation was scheduled for today (Aug. 13, 2014) | Joe and Mark arrived on time and got right to work. I was amazed at how efficient they were. The whole job was completed in about 4 hours. They were very respectful of my home, laying down rugs so as not to track in, and also wearing booties upon entering the house. They, too, were personable, it was clear that customer satisfaction was their top priority. Joe explained the equipment before leaving, making sure I understood how to operate the thermostat, etc... Description of Work: They came and they said the a/c needed a lot of free on! Over three hundred dollars worth! I think the price excessive but wanted the a/c to work so I gave the go ahead. The entire ordeal costed over 400.00. Also I was told a service man would come back and check for free the leak of free on or perhaps the replacement was all that was needed. Not too thrill with the experience but at least I have my house cooling. 2.5 gallons of free on is rather costly. How did I lose that much? I was not given a satisfactory answer.

Description of Work: They performed a tune-up/ cleaning to my a/c unit and furnace. Everything went well, the technician was extremely knowledgable and friendly. He was careful not to bring dirt in as he worked both inside and outside.

Description of Work: My interaction with personnel at my house all went well. They did the plumbing job well. More problems were found afterward, which they remedied. I told them to add it to the bill, but they did not charge extra. The had to replace the pipe from the basement wall to the utility company's pipe at the street. The yard was dug up, and not replaced too well. I understood this in advance. Family members think this was wrong. My only complaint would be communication and coordination through their office staff. Messages were not relayed accurately or timely.
