Schneider was onsite on the date, time scheduled. Technicians were friendly and got right to work. They installed the door and cleaned up inside and out afterwards. They then walked us through the use of the door, locks, safety features.

I was actually surprised at the difference in quality between Schneider's work and the contractor I used for the rest of the siding. Small details like caulking appropriate joints, molding fascia board aluminum to wrap onto existing siding before installing vinyl...things I later noticed were not done by the other contractor. 100% satisfied.

Replaced four storm windows. The existing storm windows were very cheap and falling apart. I told Schneider I wanted good quality storms to replace them. Their sales guy called me the next day and was out to write up the estimate within a couple days. He told me it would 4-5 weeks to get the storms. About 4 weeks later he called me and scheduled the installation for two days later. The installation guy showed up right on time and very quickly and efficiently replaced the windows. He did an excellent job of cleaning everything up, sweeping the patio, etc. It was spotless when he was done. Steve Schneider told me they would leave an invoice and I could pay it "whenever I got to it." Very trusting and friendly--I liked that. I called them about two days later and paid the bill with a credit card over the phone. Two days later I received a paid invoice copy in the mail. Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service. Highly recommended!

It looks great. The workers were very courteous and cleaned up. When putting in the front door, he protected our wood floors. With the bad weather in the fall, they had trouble getting all the soffit work done in the same week . Leaving on Friday, he asked if it would be a problem if they worked on Saturday to try to finish. (he said they always ask because some people don't like Saturday work). I said not a problem and if they wanted to work Sunday to finish that was okay too (there was rain predictions for Monday too). They worked Saturday and a little on Sunday. By getting all the soffit panels finished, they scheduled the new front door insulation on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I was thankful for that because we were having a house full. When you spend that much on remodeling, you like to show it off. The only negative thing I have to say is that they did screw post in to the roof (i guess it is what OSHA requires and our house sits on a hillside so is much safer than scaffolding) but they had to lift the shingles and the shingles have not laid down completely yet. I was told that over time the shingles will lay down and I hope they do since we just put a new roof on prior to this. Other than that, I would hire them again, very professional, polite and cost was exactly as quoted !

An excellent job from start to finish. Not only were the products high quality but the workmanship was excellent. The installation took only one day.

The owner Mike Schneider responded quickly to the online inquiry. After speaking with him on the phone, he was happy to help and we made an appointment. He showed up exactly on time and completed the work swiftly despite some potential challenges. While there and with the drill handy, he helped affix two other devices on the brick wall as part of his overall service. Best service ever - responsive, prompt, happy to help, good value for the money and pleasant to work with. I recommend Mike and his business.

From the initial courteously answered phone call to delivery of the screen door, everything went beautifully. Very courteous and skillful people.

It went very well, as explained above. Be sure you discuss every worry that bothers you, as they will insure the worry is needless.

. They had done windows for us a couple of years back. So I had them to do the doors and they were wonderful. I have had so many people come out to our door and ask us about the door. It is so nice. You pay them a half when you order them in and the other half when they finish. They put a French door in my kitchen, that was an outer door and a half glass front door. Then in my kitchen we have a screened in porch, there they put a full glass storm door. It is not fancy or anything. I had a wooden blue door that had 3 little blue windows on the top. I liked it. But it leaked a lot of air in. We were having a new floor put and they told us to have a new door put in before they do the new floor because of the threshold. Anyway my husband and I went to Schneider and we were discussing what kind of door. I did not want a glass door but the woman there at the front office is not a Sales person she explained the difference. I really wanted it open. They directed everything. They did not push me into anything. As a matter of fact I had my old storm door which is 20 years old and they told me that was perfect when I was ready to buy a new one. They were great. Since we were putting hardwood flooring and those guys were waiting for the doors to be installed first, Schneider put us on a rush basis. They did our gutters a long time ago but I regret that I did not have them to put in our roof. I just did not think about them then. Now I go to them at the drop of a heart beat. They are wonderful. I would use them in the future. The door of my house look so nice and they are so different from those that people have in their houses. The doors that we have now are made of metal but they really look wood. I am so happy.

They have quoted us $3585.00 to replace wood columns with aluminum. We will probably choose them. They have been very good with complying to our requests and questions.

They have been in business for a long time. They did really good work. I had used them years ago back in the 60s to put storm windows on the house and they had done good work then too. They are one of the few companies that I know of that puts up storm windows with sliding screens attached. They work just like replacement windows and you get to keep your original windows. I thought that their costs were very reasonable for their work. The quality was excellent. They are very reliable and reputable. They were very professional. They came out and inspected the job before and after. They are people who knew what they were doing.

We received quotes from another place too, who quoted us much expensive. When we advised, we chose someone else for the job; they lowered it immediately, which I found unethical. Schneider Home Equipment Co. was very competitive in pricing and since, we had used their services in the past, we chose them. They have been in the area for about 50 years. When we had the windows done, we checked for doors too, but, he advised us to wait as we were considering carpeting as well. He then explained, once the carpeting is done. It?s easy to judge, how far the doors would go. Then we decided, we will choose them for the doors. We liked his services a lot and will use the same in future.

My experience with Schneider was fantastic. Of the bids I received from other companies there's was the most comprehensive and informative. After placing the deposit and order the for door it took several weeks to arrive (which I had no issue with). The installation took about 3 hours and looked fantastic. He did a wonderful job placing the new frame over the existing molding. I am very pleased with their work and the product. I will be using their services again in the future to replace another door in the house.

The sales person was pleasant and well informed. He also helped me diagnose a problem I was having with a storm door I purchased through Lowes. The installer was meticulous. The company provided aluminum covering over some wood that I originally was supposed to paint. This was provided at no cost. I plan to use this company for any future purchases for which they supply products

They arrived on time. The salesman was very professional and took a very low key, no pressure approach. He explained my options and never pushed me towards the most expensive windows. The quote I received was very reasonable, lower than 4 other companies. I did not end up purchasing windows from them, but based on my experience with the estimate I would definitely recommend this company.

Sales rep was extremely knowledgeable and patient explaining explicit details about various window options. We choose to go with Schneider for our window purchase. A few days later the man who measures the windows for ordering was very polite, on time, and was in & out having done what he came to do. Two weeks earlier than expected, our windows came in. An appointment was made with the sales rep for installation. The installers showed up right on time. There were 3 of them. They worked together as a team like a well oiled machine. All 8 windows were in, and clean up was perfect inside & out of our house. And in only 3 hours the job was done. It is hard these days to find a company that honors their customers with a job well done. But these guys are tops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called to ask for an estimate on replacement windows. An appointment was scheduled. The gentleman was on time for the appointment. He was very knowledgeable about replacing windows and explained the mechanics of the replacement vinyl windows. He explained the option of just replacing glass since our old windows were wood and we were looking to replace with vinyl. Not at all high-pressure in his sales pitch. Appeared very trustworthy.

They did a really good job. The estimate was too high originally, but they called back a few months later and they gave me a lower bid.

It went very well and we would use them again.

Schneider crew did excellent job, and worked with our time line. Since the weather was rainy, the install was delayed a couple weeks, as the painting couldn't be completed as planned. This is third time we have used Schneider's for the screens over 16 years. As previously, very professional.

(03/11/2010) I'm going to use them in a couple of weeks. The estimate was really good and I was really pleased with it. I'm pleased with their responsiveness. I feel pretty confident that they will do a good job. The guy knew what he was taking about. UPDATE (04/21/2010) Excellent.

I contacted them because they were referred to me by someone else. I had a look at the windows that they had displayed. The individual that I talked to came out to my house and looked at the windows and measured them all. We then discussed as to how the windows should go in because there was some brick work on the exterior of the house. I wanted them to install the windows in a particular way and they said that they could do that quite easily. So, we signed a contract for it and they came out when the windows were ready. They took out all the old windows and installed all the new ones. They also went around and checked if the windows were fine. At the front of the house there were grids. They noticed that few grids in between the double pane windows were offline from the bottom pane to the top pane. So, they decided that I should have a replacement and ordered for a replacement. The replacements came in about a month later. They came out to the house and took the lower part of the window and replaced them with new ones which were aligned with the top ones. They did exactly what they said they would do. They were extremely polite and very accommodating. They cleaned up afterwards and their installation work was excellent. The price that they charged was very reasonable compared to other people. If need be, then I would use their services in the future too.

The person who came was very professional and gave me good tips about replacing my roof and gutters. All in all the experience was very positive, but their price was too high.

I would recommend them highly. Everyone was very friendly and cooperative. The sales man was excellent and knew the stuff quite well. He put together a proposal and emailed it. He was very prompt. The installers were all very knowledgeable, competent, friendly and helpful. One of them even waited to take care of something for me which wasn’t even a part of the contract. There was one very small issue which wasn’t their fault at all. They made shutters for me too. Their measurement for the shutters was right, but the company who did the shutters made some mistake and it didn’t fit. We had to send it back and then got it redone properly. Their price was a little bit high, but their quality and reputation were very good. We would definitely use them again.
