+ -1 moreScott did a terrific job in a large basement that turned out to have a very uneven floor - it wasn't apparent the floor was in that condition until the carpet was up. He was patient, laying each tile multiple times, if necessary, to get the floor as even as possible. The end result was a beautiful space that looks great and is wonderful to work in for laundry and other projects. The bathroom, which is 1950's pink and blue, actually looks pulled together with the new tile Scott laid; it also makes the small space look larger. I'm no longer embarrassed to have friends use my bathroom! Throughout this process Scott was always professional and communicated every step of the way what would happen next. I would highly recommend Scott's services to anyone looking for someone to lay tile.
Description of Work: Scott pulled up carpet in my living room, dining room and basement. He laid tile in my large basement as well as the laundry room and the main floor bathroom.

+ -1 moreThe work is beautiful, and the workmanship was terrific. Grout lines are clean and even, including in the stunning kitchen, with it's complex pattern. At each point when we made a decision that affected the price, Scott immediately pointed out that fact and gave us his updated estimate. (He warned us that the repair estimate was loose, since he could not inspect the damage before removing the old floor. Still, his price was within a couple hundred dollars.) For a few days, Mike became an extra family member. His "Honey, I'm home" announced his comings and goings. I'll never forget his crawling around the kitchen with a printout in one hand, saying, "I've lost the pattern, but I'll get it back." Good people. We'll have them back for our downstairs hall one day.
Description of Work: Scott made important suggestions about tile, pattern, grout, underlayment, etc. He and Mike removed old flooring from two bathrooms, the kitchen, and the front entry. They did substantial floor repair in the entry and one bathroom. Mike laid most of the tile by himself, laying a diagonal pattern in the bathrooms to camouflage their small size. (It worked great!) The kitchen was nearly Mike's undoing, since the pattern we chose was very complex (Daltile's "Vector"). The entry features a beautiful, multicolor pattern of several tile sizes. Scott worked closely with the tile supplier, who had a high opinion of Scott, and not only because of his referrals.

Description of Work: Scott was a true professional, in his initial consultation, scheduling of the job, punctuality, thoroughness and cleanup. He gave me advice on where I could save money and what was important not to skimp on. He paid attention to detail. Before the floor went down, he nailed down some creaky floor boards. He was able to provide a needed material from his large collection of past job leftovers. And although he was concerned that the amount of flooring I had purchased was "2 square feet short" of his estimation, he meticulously utilized the scraps as he went, ultimately ending up with a full extra box of flooring by the job's end! Scott consulted with me throughout the job, giving me options and advice. And when he proudly explained that there was nothing he couldn't do, I proceeded to give him a short handyman "to do list", which he completed with determination and expertise.

+ -1 moreQuite and non intrusive. Scott cleaned up and prepped for the next day's activity at the end of the day. Many activities were taking place at the same time. Scott was courteous and able to refocus effort when his work was interrupted by others.
Description of Work: Scott installed a Pergo laminate floor in the kitchen, bath, living and dining rooms. Scott was careful in his floor prep for the install, worked at the pace of a business owner and confidence of a expert.

They worked around our business and even came in late after hours to get the job done when it would not disturb our business. I was very impressed with the end results.
Description of Work: We had new floors put into our entire business. We had to replace some of the sub floor and put in VCT and ceramic tile. There were many uneven parts of the floor that had to be leveled.

+ 0 moreScott and Mike were a breath of fresh air after the prior experience we had. They were professional, knowledgeable, timely and reasonably priced. I would recommend them highly. We may remodel our master bath in the next year and plan on using them! Great job.
Description of Work: We hired a handyman to remodel our first floor powder room and it was a disaster (they were not on Angie's List). We had SC Flooring come and remove the unlevel and unevenly grouted tile and basically fix all the problems the other handyman created. They removed the toilet and pedestal sink, tore out the tile and subfloor, laid new tile, reinstalled the baseboards and quarter round, reinstalled the toilet and sink, fixed a loosely installed faucet and a leak on the sink, and centered a misaligned light.

+ -1 moreSCOTT WAS VERY TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL IN MEETING TO MEASURE AND PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE OF THE INSTALLATION. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW THE JOB SHOULD BE FINISHED. THE HOMEOWNER WAS PROVIDING THE FLOORING PURCHASED AT HOME DEPOT. THERE WAS SOME URGENCY TO COMPLETE THE JOB (WITHIN 3 OR 4 DAYS). SCOTT SAID THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO MEET THE TIME CONSTRAINTS. HIS FELLOW WORKER, MIKE, ARRIVED ON TIME TO BEGIN THE INSTALLATION AND HE AND SCOTT COMPLETED THE WORK THE SAME DAY. THEIR WORK WAS PROFESSIONAL AND TIMELY AND THEIR DEMEANOR WAS VERY PLEASANT. THEY STRIPPED TWO LAYERS OF FLOORING, MADE SOME REPAIRS, CLEANED UP THE MESS AND HAULED AWAY THE DEBRIS. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. BILL ROLLINS 353-0987

SCOTT WAS HERE TO DO MY FLOORING THE DAY AFTER I WAS HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL, RECOVERING FROM OUTPATIENT SURGERY. THERE WAS NO STRESS INVOLVED IN HAVING HIM IN MY HOUSE, EVEN THOUGH I WASN'T AT MY BEST. HE'S FRIENDLY, POLITE, AND CONSIDERATE, ON TOP OF BEING AN EXPERT AT HIS CRAFT. MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH SCOTT CUNNINGHAM WAS VERY POSITIVE. HE'S A MAN OF HIS WORD. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE, AND WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION.

+ -1 moreI HAVE TO SAY, THE OWNER OF THIS COMPANY IS VERY AVAILABLE, HE WAS QUICK TO COME OUT WITH AN ESTIMATE. WHEN I HAD FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS, HE RESPONDED IN A TIMELY MANNER. WHEN THEY FINALLY GOT STARTED ON THE JOB, THEY WORKED HARD TO GET IT DONE, IN A TIMELY FASHION. THEY CROSSED THEIR T'S AND DOTTED THEIR I'S AND EVERYTHING WAS LEFT IN PRISTINE CONDITION. THEY SEEM TO WORK 7 DAYS A WEEK, WHICH IS GREAT, SINCE THEY GOT THE JOB DONE ON SATURDAY NIGHT. WHEN I CALLED, HE HADN'T DONE MUCH CORK, BUT IT WASN'T A PROBLEM AT ALL. WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN, FOR FUTURE WORK, AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

HE WORKED WITH ME ON OUR TILE CHOICES (HE HAS A GOOD EYE FOR COLOR AND QUALITY) AND GROUT COLOR. HE PICKED UP ALL THE TILE AND SUPPLIES, AND SHOWED UP AS SCHEDULED FOR THE JOB. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE END RESULT. HE IS TRULY A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH, IS OBVIOUSLY WELL-RESPECTED IN HIS FIELD, AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES IF YOU ARE INSTALLING TILE. HE RECOMMENDED AND INSTALLED SOME EXTRA TILE TO BLEND TO EXISTING DECOR. ALL ADDITIONAL WORK WAS PERFORMED WITH APPROVAL AND FOR A NOMINAL FEE. I WAS COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THE JOB, EXCEPT FOR CLEANLINESS (DISPOSAL AND KEEPING GROUT FROM ADJACENT CARPET), WHICH WAS A MINOR INCONVENIENCE.

I WENT TO A FLOORING WHOLESALER TO BUY MY FLOOR AND MENTIONED HIS NAME, THEY SAID HE WAS THE BEST IN CINCINNATI, VERY METICULOUS IN HIS WORK AND A PERFECTIONIST. HE DEFINITELY TOOK THE TIME TO DO THE JOB RIGHT, BUT ALSO WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND GOT THE JOB DONE SOONER THAN I EXPECTED. HE WAS VERY VERY FRIENDLY AND I ENJOYED WORKING WITH HIM. SCOTT IS VERY HONEST AND WILL DO THE JOB RIGHT WITHOUT CUTTING CORNERS. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
