+ -1 moreThe plumber was scheduled to arrive between 8:00 AM and noon. At approximately 11:00 AM, a plumber showed up but told me that he couldn’t perform the work I requested because he didn’t have a camera. He quoted me $380ish to unclog the drainpipe but said that might not address the problem. He called his office to see when someone could be here with a camera, and then told me that I was next in line for someone to come out. He said it shouldn’t be more than an hour or two. Three hours later, there was still no one here, so I called Roto Rooter. They reiterated that I was next in line but couldn’t tell me how much longer it would be. At that point, I cancelled the appointment. Telephone customer service at scheduling, and again today, was poor. Lots of excuses and no apologies.

+ -1 moreThey were very busy, but kept me posted about time of arrival. Harry Green came evening of 10/28/17. He was polite, patient & tenacious in getting lines cleared. He made suggestions to prevent further immediate clogs & put a cover on main line outside house, where it was missing. He was great! Knowledgeable & good customer service. Very professional but made sure to explain in terms I could comprehend! Great service!!
Description of Work: Basement flooded in home I recently bought. The floor drain were clogged as well as the main line out to sidewalk. Cover over main line had been off for some time.

Description of Work: I will preface this with the fact that I have dealt with Roto-Rooter in the past and was satisfied. This time -- UGH! I was told they would be here between 8 AM and noon. They showed up about 7 PM. This was to replace a water heater. I had called them the day before. As soon as the guy got here, he left again to go get another water heater -- gone about an hour. To make a long story short, I finally got a working water heater by about 10 PM. The cost was a ridiculous $1,950!!! The water heater installed is just under $500 from Lowe's retail. I assume Roto-Rooter gets a substantial discount. I generally get dinner and a show before someone does that to me. Will NOT deal with them again.
