RJS (Rick and Jerod Smith) remodeling arrived on time every day of the job, or they were quick to call (due to traffic etc.). If there were snags in the schedule, RJS immediately informed me and not once left me in the dark. They were highly respectful of the rest of my home and of my two family pups. The Master Bathroom remodel plan consisted of: 1. Gutting the bathroom to the studs. 2. Removing a shower unit and garden tub. 3, Installing a multi-head custom shower to where the garden tub used to be. 4, Adding a digitally controlled Thermasol Steam unit to the custom shower. 5. Adding a make-up table and custom lighting to the location where the shower used to be. 6. Adding a heated floor. 7. Upgrading and reinstalling the double vanity. 8. Installing custom granite countertops and accent features. 9. Installing porcelain tile and accents. 10. Upgrading the toilet. 11. Installed a new 75 gallon hot water tank (basement). 12. Installed insulation, drywall, custom lighting and mirrors. Due to the shower not ONLY needing to be water proof, it also needed to be vapor proof due to the addition of the steam shor unit. This made the use of Kurdy / Schluetter Board a no brainer. This requires specific knowledge and training to install correctly. RJS remodeling had not installed the Schluetter board system before my install. They were straight forward and honest in telling me this and I decided to go ahead with the install of same. I want no water penetration into any portion of my shower and/or my home. RJS did their research, contacted a Schluetter Board representative and began the install. The Schluetter representative actually showed up on-site to observe the install and to give pointers. RJS impressed me by realizing they lacked specific knowledge in a specialized area and took the steps required to perform the job correctly (unlike many other contractors who would just stumble through it). I now steam and shower in confidence (and peace of mind) knowing my remodel was carried out professionally and correctly. RJS also took the time to figure out (mathematcally) how to taper the ceiling of the shower, so that condensating water runs down to the walls and not drip onto my back while enjoying a steam session. ATTENTION TO DETAIL FOLKS! RJS cleaned up after each day of work and this was a multi-week remodel. I will definitely use RJS again without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade/update their home.

I had painting and flooring by separate contractors. I called Rick smith to get an estimate. He met my wife and I at the distributor of Granite and we picked out the Counter tops. Got an estimate from Rick Smith. The granite was ordered . I picked up a Cook Top and and Bath Room faucet. Rick took out the counter tops so the painter could do his job. Moellering Industries installed the Granite tops and sinks. Rick, then came back to install everything else.

Rick and Jerad performed outstanding services. We have an old home and wanted to maintain its character, which they were able to do through designing custom cabinets and attending to the detail of the original design. As with any older home, challenges arose such as bad plumbing. They made sure each aspect of the update was well done - no short cuts. Their collaborative relationships with the counter manufacturer and cabinet maker proved well timed and coordinated. In the end, we have a kitchen that is beautifully updated with all of its original character. RJS exceeded our expectations.
