Reupert Heating & Air Conditioning

They have left me a message and emailed me for scheduling. I have just not yet got back with the company to schedule the appointment.

I have used this provider several times. They have always been professional, had good appointment times and provided good service. I've used them for 2 heating system problems 2 times outside of a tune-up and both times they were available within 24 hours and I felt the work they did was good and that they were honest and fair. I've had incidents with other service providers and found that they were clearly trying to take advantage of me (knew more than they thought I knew). These guys are not like that.

My heater stopped working the evening before service. I called Reupert that night and discussed the problem. He informed me of the after hours costs, but said he should be able to come out the next day, so I waited until the next day. The repair person came at 9am the next morning, which I felt was a great response time considering some providers can't get you in for days or weeks. After looking at my system for a few minutes he found the issue and quoted a price for the repair. I felt the price may have been a little high, but the service and response time definitely made up for it. He had my heater up and running again within 2 hours. I have used this provider on a few occasions and they have always provided good, honest service. I know a little about HVAC and plumbing and have had other service providers try to take advantage or me by assuming I don't know anything and trying to overcharge me for unnecessary services. This company seems to be one of the good ones you can trust.

Went fine. I learned some things about how the original installation was not really done most effectively by another provider. What is annoying is the hounding to write a review. Calling my cell phone, giving me paperwork and pursuing me until I agree to write the review may be the reason I don't use them in the future. It's not that I didn't want to write it, it's that I didn't appreciate the pressure to do so. The review seemed to be more important than the actual experience I had with the work.

Very happy with the service provided by our technician. We are new to this house and it was obvious that the previous owners did not perform the necessary maintenance on the HVAC, but I'm now comfortable in knowing that the furnace has been inspected thoroughly, cleaned out, and checked for all potential gas leaks. |We already plan to have Reupert out again in the Spring for a similar service of our air conditioner unit. Very professional, honest, and helpful experience.

The tech was very polite and went to work right away. No breaks. He was very good at communicating what the issue was and how he planned to address it. Since he had to make two stops, he deducted the travel charges from the bill for the second stop. Very accommodating.

The service was fine but the price was high. I really like the guy who initially came to do the diagnosis but he did not bring the right tools to complete the repairs. He said they would have to return later. I was hoping to get the same guy but the woman explained she was sending someone else. I asked her not to send anyone who was new and inexperienced. The technician they sent did a fine job and everything is working well. The initial guy was late to the first appointment because he said he was helping a new employee with another job. They also called me back within a half hour to schedule the appointment. I was pleased with the service.

Blaise showed up at the house right at 2 PM which has never happened for any service man. I showed him the furnace and explained some of the issues we have been having and he went right to work. He cleaned and serviced the unit showed me that the unit was running at 93% efficiency and gave me some tips on regular maintenance of the furnace. As I've gone through life I have had to find good and bad services by trial and error. After today I have found my HVAC service for life and I will recommend Reupert to anyone that will listen.

The technician responded to the emergency call quickly and came to the house promptly despite the hour (around 2am Saturday morning). I was disappointed by most of the rest of the service. I had two spare thermostats that had been used in the house. When I asked for his opinion on which should be used, he provided no expertise, but rather said tersely "which do you want installed". I really expected the professional advice. Especially since I had detailed the exact problem with the thermostat as the house has two systems and the other system had the same problem last year very quickly with this model. It took almost a year for the second unit to have a problem. Since the $129 diagnostic charge wasn't waived, I didn't think help in selection was unreasonable. Once the thermostat was hooked up, the technician asked for the install book. When I couldn't find it (this spare may have been from the previous owner), I had to suggest we use the Internet to get the information. It would have helped if he'd asked for the book before installing as I had it for the other spare thermostat. After installation the thermostat was running the air handler even though my heat is a radiator and the air handler is for AC only. The technician couldn't get the thermostat to reconfigure even with the installation guide. I decided that I just needed the heat configured so we left the air handler/AC power off. The thermostat turned the heating on and it has continued to run for the 72 hours since even when the temperature was 6 degrees higher than the setting, even when the thermostat was turned off. I'm not a normal customer so I understand having less skin in the game, but the choices made ensured I wouldn't want to be a customer. To end on a positive note, the technician did point out a small problem that could become a big one with the boiler on this thermostat. This company has good reviews as a whole, so I probably just caught things wrong but just in case this is typical for their emergency response I thought I'd write the details.

Called on Saturday and they were able to send someone the same day within a few hours. When the serviceman got there he checked out the furnace and quickly found the problem was some kind of pressure valve. Initially he thought it needed replaced, but after watching it run for a while it seemed to be working fine. Since he wasn't sure if the part was faulty could possibly could just have been a bad wire connection, he concluded that it didn't need fixed at the time and I should monitor it and let them know if it stops working again in the future. Only paid for the service call. I appreciate him taking the time to determine the real issue and not taking advantage of the situation and trying to talk me into replacing a part that didn't need replaced. Most businesses aren't so honest. B for price because I was told a service call was $70 on the phone, but was charged $79. I hadn't called to resolve this issue, but intend to when I call for them to come back out for a whole furnace tuneup and cleaning.

This is my second experience with Reupert, they serviced my A/C system in the spring. ( I did a review at that time as well) I have to say that in general my initial enthusiasm for this company was some what miss placed. I still will recommend them but just not as whole heartedly as in my first review. During their first visit I asked the technician some questions about my furnace, specifically about retro fitting something that would fire the pilot on the furnace on demand so it wasn't constantly burning. He told me about a relight kit that could be put on. He told me $175 installed. He told me to schedule an appointment for a boiler service in Sept/Oct and mention that I wanted a relight kit installed and suggested I request him since we had discussed it. He showed up on the date of the appointment and took a look at the furnace and asked me about the hot water heater. (When I made the appointment I was asked if I wanted the hot water heater serviced at that time, I agreed). The owner's son showed up a short time later, I was told he was there to take a look and help out. After some conversation, (whispering actually, which doesn't instill confidence, makes you feel like they are hiding something), the son tells me that a relight kit will be $1500. Uh, that's not $175. I declined. I would suggest that you don't give a price, verbal or otherwise, before knowing for sure. They found that the water pump for the system showed evidence of leaking ( it does, I noticed that before they came) and would need to be replaced at some point. He said he would leave me a quote for the parts. The quotes seem fairly reasonable except for the drain and refill of the boiler - $372 seems a little excessive for that. I will be doing some research on these quotes before I agree to anything. I accepted an offer to service the hot water heater. Personally, if a service is to be preformed on a hot water heater I would think that would include draining it. I paid $56 to have the gas regulator removed, brushed, blown on, and replaced. Finally, my spring appointment was rescheduled by Reupert because of a personal issue the technician had to attend to. I received a letter from Joe Reupert, apologizing for my inconvenience and offering me $25 off my next service. I was really impressed by this. The only problem is I didn't receive the $25 off. Seems to be a pattern of saying things and not following up on them. I will probably still use them again, I did purchase the one year service agreement but my initial enthusiasm was definitely misplaced.

However, when they came to give us the bids on a new furnace and AC unit - the old one was 20-yers old, they said thru an extensive search they found three of the parts. The cost would be $500. This was in comparison to $6,500 to $9,500 for a new furnace and AC unit. Since we were in debt due to other recent fixes - new deck and dishwasher - we had the new part installed. We plan to pay off our debts and start saving for a new furnace and AC unit - and of course we will have Reupert's do it. They've been servicing our units for around 30 years.

Excellent! The service provider Steve Justice was very professional and honest. They came out right away and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs A/C work.

they did the normal AC servicing and discovered 1 of our 2 ACs was not working at all. They were very helpful in explaining the problem and recommending options and getting it fixed.

Very professional and respectful... he told me that i had excellent equipment but that it was not installed properly by the other contractor... he fixed it so that it was more efficient...

Was very happy over all with the service. I was disappointed by one thing. I did a "Buy it Now" for a spring tune up on my AC unit. The price was good, at half the cost of the normal price, but once I had paid in advance for the service I had to call and schedule the date. I was disappointed to find out they were scheduling these appointment four weeks out. If I had know that they were scheduling appointments so far out I might have opted to use another service provider. I suspect that if it was a regular service call and I was paying full price then the appointment would have been scheduled a lot sooner. As it turned out I did need some parts replaced as well as a coolant charge so they ended up making more than just the discounted check-up price.

I went with Reupert based on the reviews on Angie's list. We scheduled the original appointment for 6/26/2013 at 8:30 am. At 7:45 am that morning they called to tell me the technician scheduled to come out had a family emergency and would have to reschedule for 6/28/2013. First let me say I hope that all is well with the family of that technician, however, this is not a good way to start a relationship with a new customer. I understand that things happen, I have been in a customer oriented business for 30 years. There should be a contingency plan in place to cover those situations when an employee is unavailable. Like most people we had make arrangements to be available for the date and time arranged for the service to be preformed and having to rework our schedule is annoying at best. The above paragraph was written the morning of the cancellation and I am leaving it as I wrote it so this review reflects my overall feelings about this encounter. This morning (6/28/2013) Steve arrived on time, introduced himself and explained why he was here and what he was going to do. He went about his business in a professional manner and since I was hanging pretty close he explained what he was doing and why. I asked some questions that he patiently answered. I feel he was very honest and in no way did he try to up sell me something I didn't need. While he was here I asked him some things about my furnace that he again patiently answered for me. I must be honest and say based on the initial cancellation my expectations had been lowered dramatically and I honestly wasn't sure I would use Reupert again but I have to say that my experience with Steve has made me do a complete 180 on that thinking. As disappointed and frustrated as I was the other morning, I'm equally happy and satisfied now. Not only will I use them again, but I will highly recommend them!

I called on the morning of June 26th and they said someone could be out in the afternoon. The tech showed up as promised and was very professional. We checked the AC system together and he explained everything that was going on. He said I have a small leak in the system somewhere which I suspected because the system froze up the day before. My system is 15 years old and I didn't want to sink a lot of money in it right now so I had him charge the system in hopes it was just a small leak and would last the rest of the summer. So far its still working fine and I will call them back in the future if I need to get a newer system or repair.

I was pleased with him. He was very responsive. He was very good, very polite and followed up. He showed up on time, did a thorough job, and seemed very trustworthy.

OK. I comfortable that I got a good system at a fair price. It was installed the day after I called. Fortunately before the real start of cooling season. I asked about installing a supplemental or auxiliary fan in one of the ducts that serves the room farthest from the system on the second floor. They quoted me an installed price of an additional $900. The duct is 8 inches wide. I went to the Internet and found numerous models of such fans available for any size duct for under $75. I have downloaded the installation instructions and I do not believe that the labor could exceed 1/2 hour for a professional who knew what they were doing. The duct in question is easily accessible and has several joints that can be taken apart to insert and install the fan. I was very disappointed in that estimate.

When they came last spring for routine maintenance they found a huge leak in my old unit. Once I decided to replace it ,their salesperson came out that same day and gave me multiple options and price ranges. I ended up getting the unit compatible with my 2 year old furnace. They scheduled the replacement promptly , offered a payment plan which helped me alot. The workers were prompt and courteous during their time at my home. Two weeks later I woke up on a particularly hot day to find the ac not working . I called their emergency line and my call was returned in less the a half hour. The repairman came out on a sunday and spent about 2 hours trouble shooting the problem, it ended up the blower strength had to be changed to keep the coils from freezing up. The unit has worked like a dream ever since.

Took advantage of AngLst special offer. Scheduled promptly, service tech arrived as scheduled with advance notifying call. Very thorough, with conditions and performance results reported verbally, as well as complete service report left with me. Have used Reupert regularly 10 years since they installed units, and will continue to do so.

The technician was prompt and very friendly. He explained everything to me and answered all of my questions.

It was fantastic. They are reliable and extremely professional. They are not the cheapest but they are not the most expensive.

They were excellent. Our heat pump has never worked better and our heating bills have gone down 5%.
