RED DOOR CONSTRUCTION

This was the thrid time that we have used this firm. The first job they did for us involved converting a screened-in porch into a year-round solarium complete with a/c and a gas fireplace stove. The second job was a complete kitchen remodel. Both jobs turned out wonderfully. This master bath remodel turned out equally as well; we couldn't be happier. The owner, Mark Griesmer, was on site working along side his crew most of the time. Mark personally installed all of the tile and did a magnificent job. His carpenter installed and finished the cabinets. He is somewhat of a perfectionist which was evident once his install was fully completed. This was a major project which invovled the complete demolition of the existing bath and installatin of a huge new shower, tub, toilet, sinks, countertops, lighting vanities, etc.

Mark has worked for us several times over the past two years. He's a good guy and easy to work with, but dependability and quality have both been spotty, especially recently. If you have the time and energy to confront him on quality problems, missed appointments and just plain not calling back, you might get a decent value. We probably won't call him again.

All work was done in a professional manner. Anything not done to our satisfaction was re-done. No questions asked. When beginning the conversion of the screen porch, Mark noticed that some of the existing framing that he hoped to build upon was rotted through. His solution: He took down and reframed the entire porch. At the end of the job, there was no mention of an extra charge for this reframing. I was so surprised that I actually paid him more than the amount we agreed upon because I didn't want him to loose money on our job just because he did what was in my family's best interest. This guy is the absolute best to work with.
