We were very happy with the work. It took a couple weeks to get on the schedule but it was ok since the deal was just issued. We had a gate that wasn't closing properly. They came in and provided a solution to fix the issue.

On July 31, 2012 I purchased the Big Deal offer ?$199 for $499 worth of Fencing Services? on Angie?s List by Queen City Fencing Contractors. Back in 2002 we had a fence installed by Queen City Fencing Contractors and for a couple of years we had been wanting to move the fencing back 8 ft. from the street and close off about 16ft and install a gate at the other end. I am sorry to say that I am very unhappy with this purchase and would like a refund. Dominic Donisi did not show up or call on our first appt. for an estimate (scheduled at 10am on ). He was left two voicemail msgs. (10:30 & 11am) At noon Dominic calls, not even remembering he had an appt. and wanted to do the estimate. As we were no longer available he made another appt the following Wednesday at 9:30am. He shows up on Tuesday 9:30am instead of Wednesday when no one was at home. He called my husband and had him describe what work needed to be done and that he would send out an estimate. On August 17th he calls because he notices on the deal that we needed to have $1200 worth of work done to get the deal. I double checked the deal and realized I only read ?The Fine Print? and thought that we could probably get most of the work done for the $199 with maybe paying an extra couple hundred. That was why I purchased the deal. So at this point we were going to cancel the deal since it did not fall within the restrictions. Before contacting Dominic however, he sends the estimate via email to my husband. Even though we knew that we misread the offer and would not be able to use it we just found this totally ridiculous that the estimate is exactly $50 under the $1200 deal and felt we needed to let Angie?s List know that we think this is a rip off. Back in 2002 we had a fence installed by Queen City Fencing Contractors that costs us $3600. This included: purchase of 20 posts, 18 panels, 1 gate and installation. Now to charge $1150 to purchase and install 8 posts and a gate, use existing panels (left over from 2002 job), and take down 4 posts is BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE! I am so disappointed in this company who in 2002 was our first contractor as home owners. We were so totally delighted with them, telling many of our family and friends about them. I felt like we made the wrong decision buying this offer. If you are required to let the company know that you have a ?coupon? or ?special? that you are treated more like an inconvenience than a customer so I usually do not deal with those types of deals. But we thought it was such a great offer and were going to have the work done anyway AND we had dealt with this company before (totally happy) we would try it. Unfortunately it turned out like I expected it too. A helpful and friendly hint to Angie?s List:: if there is going to be a ?fine print? section please include the restrictions. If I had seen that I would not have purchased the offer in the first place.

I ended up getting a refund for the deal because the job I had was not covered. They were very quick to come to my house and very responsive. They were very prompt to the appointment and we had a good conversation. I will still use them even though I won't be able to use the Big Deal.

They were great. They were very professional and courteous.

I placed a call to the business to get an estimate on ornamental fence at my new home. I received a call back from the owner of the business, Dominick, the same day. He came to our home on a Saturday to measure and discuss fence options. He brought ornamental fence books and had pictures from completed jobs for us to view. He has a wealth of experience (13 years) in both commercial and private fencing. We contracted him and the installation was smooth from start to finish. His installers were professional, on time, and cleaned up. The company is fully insured - liability and workers compensation. Install took 2 days.

I have used Queen City Fence twice for fences at my houses. They were great to work with, very responsive and punctual. Their pricing was always better than the other fence companies we got quotes from, and an excellent.value. Dominic is a great guy to work with! I highly recommend them for your fence needs!
