It doesn't work. They are horrible, I called them and told them it was still cold in our house. They came out and said that there wasn't anything wrong. They are refusing to come back and do anything for us.I was told that my furnace is under a 10 year warranty and they need to come out and fix it. They had to pay us back for having someone else come out and look at it. They got irritated with me over that. I didn't care how much they had to keep coming back, I just wanted everything OK with us.

That was okay.  They just kind of cleaned up and checked out the leak and that's about it.  I would not probably use them again, what they did I could have done it myself.

They seemed to be honest, told us we had problems with AC.

My wife and I bought an old house earlier this fall, becoming owners of a hot water heating system for the first time in our lives. We had no idea what kind of maintenance was needed, and I weren't sure even how to light the boilers. I called Pott's first because the business's stickers indicated it as the original installers. I made first contact on a Friday afternoon, and the office manager set up an appointment for 8:00 am on the next morning.
The technician arrived on time and set to work immediately. I had many basic question about boiler and radiator operation, and he patiently answered and explained the various valves, switches, and gauges. The system had been cold for a long time, so it took a while to warm up. Meanwhile, he walked up and down the stairs several times to assure that each radiator was heating properly, showing me how to bleed the radiators as well. At the end, he also took a few minutes to check out a gas fireplace log.
The appointment took nearly three hours, and I gladly paid for the time because I learned a lot of basic mechanics in my new house.

I called the morning after I realized our AC was broken.  They had someone ready to come out within just a couple of hours, and the repair was done quickly. The repairman was courteous.  We would definitely use them again for any of our HVAC work.

After Contacting Pott's they sent Tim out that afternoon to take a look at the problem.  AC needed Freon.  He charged and system began to work normally.  He was very friendly helpful and took the time to walk me through the options and potential benefits / Problems with each one.

AC system was running but performance was very poor.  Called Potts in the morning and was told someone would stop in that afternoon.  About an hour later Tim the service man called that he was on his way and was there in 10 minutes.  Tim diagnosed the system and explained what he would do and what the costs would be.  He cleaned the condensing unit, added 3 lbs. of freon and checked the system for leaks.  Tim was courteous and professional and when he left the system was working well.  The big surprise for us was the high cost of the r22 freon which a few years ago would have been about $100 and this 3 lbs cost over $300.  This is an HVAC industry-wide cost that impacts all older HVAC users and service companys.

What I like about them is that they always come when I call.  They always tell me exactly what I need to know.  They are very helpful and they know what they are doing.  I think their pricing is pretty reasonable. They are not always there on time.  I will continue to use this provider in the future.

I contacted Potts the first time about a year and a half ago. I got an estimate for a furnace and AC. At that I opted for the AC only. The house I purchased had AC but it was completely shot. Potts gave me one of the best estimates. I went with him. This past year when I felt I could afford the furnace, I called him up and asked for a furnace. The price had only changed slightly from that previous estimate! I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. While the techs were installing the furnace, they also installed some PVC piping for me for the AC drain at NO charge! These folks are pleasant, honest, on time and I would highly recommend them. I was never pressured into buying more than I was comfortable with (which explains why there was a gap between the AC and the furnace).

We had noticed that the temperature in our house had dropped below the setting on our thermostat.  I checked the furnace and found that the ducts were cold, and when furnace kicked on, the gas was not igniting.  We contacted Pott's around 3pm on a Sunday afternoon.  We were told that a technician would be onsite within a couple of hours.  Sure enough, in less than two hours a tech pulled in to our driveway.

I showed the technician to the furnace in the basement.  I spoke with him about the symptoms as I saw them as he took the cover off of the furnace.  Just as I was about to leave him to his work, he said that he had found the problem, a broken ignition element, and was just getting it out to show me.  He had a matching element in his truck and was done within 1 hour.  He then did a quick inspection of the furnace.

What really impressed me was that the young man they sent to repair our furnace did just that.  There was no hard sell on their managed services; no request to put a sign in my yard; no strings.  The technician that they sent did exactly what he was supposed to do.  He fixed the furnace.  He was polite and professional.  He did not try to make a sales pitch or tell me that the job was going to be a lot harder than it really was.  As long as they continue to do that, I'm satisfied.

I called and they said they could come the next morning.  They were there right when they said they would be.  They were able to pinpoint both problems quickly and fix them quickly.  We spent much less than we expected.  We recommended them to our neighbors and they were very happy too.

My experience with them has been very good.  Their prices are competitive.  I don’t know if they are better or worst.  The quality of service is very good.  Their responsiveness is excellent.  They are always on time.  They are very professional.  I would continue to use them in the future.

The technician arrived promptly and diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes of arrival. Technician took the time to call not one, but two Trane air conditioning dealers to verify that he was replacing the correct voltage capacitor for the unit. The capacitor was replaced and a number of voltage and temperature checks were performed in order to ensure the unit would function properly. I was most impressed that the technician not only efficiently performed the repair, but also took the time to explain each step as well as the reason for each diagnostic test he was running. He made me feel very comfortable and informed about the problem as well as how to prevent similar issues in the future. I highly recommend their services and will use Potts again in the future.

I would highly recommend this company.  They came same day for service, and even though they arrived after 5 on a Friday, charged only their typical service call rate.  

I contacted Potts Heating & Air when another HVAC company couldn't schedule an A/C call for 6 weeks.  I was able to schedule the service call for the next week. Unfortunately, I have an oil heating system and Potts is unable to work on any part of the system that is part of an oil system. In spite of that, the service tech was very helpful and spent some time with me talking about my unit and what I could look for to see if it was working well.  He was extremely professional and even recommended a few other companies that I could contact.  If they could work on my unit, I would hire them again without hesitation!

This was hands down, the best service I have received from a repair company!  Rich was very thorough, professional and courteous.  He told me everything he was doing along the way and even took a picture of the inside of the unit so I could see the damage he was telling me about!  We only paid for the service call but he did get the unit working again at least temporarily.  He also taught us how to avoid this problem in the future without making us feel stupid (DUH, use a filter!)

Rich was very professional and explained everything he was doing. He has to be one of the friendliest repairmen I have ever met. I was having a problem with heat pump icing up and Rich found out I had restricted airflow caused by using too expensive of a filter. It was recommended I buy the cheap ones and change them every 30 days.  I asked about air duct cleaning and Rich said he would only have it done if someone in the home had allergies, I do, or there was a problem with constant dust on the furniture, a huge problem. He recommended someone but said it would cost a couple of hundred dollars but I later learned that company was very highly rated on Angie's list. I will definitely be using Pott's Heating and Air Conditioning for any future HVAC problems.
