Terribly (see description)
Description of Work: FEMALE BUYERS BEWARE!!! My wife called to request an estimate to replace two damaged toilet handles for my disabled sister-in-law. Upon reviewing the job in person, "Bobby" indicated to my wife that it would be approximately $400 to replace the toilet handles, along with the flush and fill internal parts for two toilets. Having replaced these parts myself, and knowing that a complete novice can perform this project on your own in about 30 minutes, with about $30 worth of parts; it was completely obvious to me that this was someone trying to take advantage. I called him back immediately and asked for a detailed explanation of his estimate. Bobby indicated that this job was a "flat rate" priced project, and that this was in fact the cost. I explained that I could get a certified master plumber to complete this work in under an hour for less than half the price; and then asked him to confirm that he was sure about his estimate. By this time Bobby was obviously flustrated, but agian confirmed that this was the price for all labor and parts. I then attempted request that he verbally itemize the cost for labor involved and the parts to be used, to understand the absurdity of his estimate, and his response remained, "this is a flat rate job". We obviously did not use this service, but rathere hired a reputable and local certified plumber (also found on Angies list). The cost was $140, and it took him less than an hour to complete the job. Long story short; Buyer Beware! Get at least three estimates before advancing forward with a decision, there are folks out there that are not trust worthy and willing to take advantage of you, if you let them.

I want to start off by apologizing to you for the experience you describe in your review. We take extreme pride in making sure that our customers are 100% satisfied. As to why the mess was not cleaned up, I do not have an explanation for that as we teach our technicians to respect our customers and their homes by preaching to them to always leave the work area as clean or cleaner than when they arrived, to wear floor savers over their feet and to park on the street instead of the driveway if possible. I have spoken to the technician that was out to your home and can assure you that this will not happen again as we strive to show you a truly better plumbing experience each and every time. If the survey for Angie's List is still needed please call the office and we will get that mailed or emailed to you promptly. I can only hope you will allow us to earn your business in the future for your plumbing needs so we can redeem ourselves with you.

I spoke to this member today because I was afraid that perhaps this was a job that might have had some miscommunication due to the fact we were last to his house in October of 2015. Very nice gentleman and it seems like perhaps a better resolution could have been met if we would have spoken back at the time of the incident, but he did tell me it was OK to convey that he was not upset with us and that it could have been a misunderstanding. Regardless, I am so very sorry his experience was not better and we will take accountability for not communicating better regarding this issue. We wish the the member and his family all the best and hope that perhaps in the future we will get another chance to prove this is not the quality of work for which we normally are known for.

Description of Work: Contacted Plumbtite to check out water heater that wasn't heating up the water. First thing that caught my attention was the associate who answered my call, she said "how can we make your day better!" Well that brought a smile to my face, she then scheduled a service technician to come out in a few hours. The technician arrived promptly as promised and quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed thermostat/gas valve controller on this 5 yr old water heater. He indicated that replacement controller part would be covered under warranty and we would just have to pay for the labor to install . He ordered the part and it was shipped overnight. He returned the next day and completed the replacement. Everyone was very professional. The only complaint is that the labor cost of $225 was too high for the time spent doing the repair

Description of Work: They were able to get me in same day and fixed my issue no problem. I will say that it is a little misleading to say there is no cost for a service call, but within 2 minutes the guy told me it would be $85 for a diagnostic of the problem... not sure when you would ever have a service call that didn't involve diagnostic. Either way, they came quickly and fixed the problem.
