Our plumber-Bobby, found the additional pipe that needed to be attached and with my permission moved around my washer and dryer to find a drain. He attached the pipe to my hvac so the water would drain into the floor drain. He then moved my washer to another wall and cleaned up the dripping water. If he hadn't been so persistent about find the pipe and the drain I would have had to call an hvac company to install a hose-Bobby's fix saved me hundreds of dollars!
Description of Work: There was an unfinished pipe coming out of our hvac. The pipe was dripping water from the hvac dehumidifier all over the basement floor.

They were able to come out the same day and complete the job in a very short time. Very courteous and professional. They also informed me that I'd need to replace a water pressure regulator because the water pressure in my house was way too high, so I will probably have them come back to take care of that soon.

Our techs were great. They were knowledgeable and friendly. Ron went out of his way to make an appointment work for us after the office had a scheduling error earlier in the week. We haven't had to use the sump pump yet, but everything looks great.

The technician was nice, but not very professional. He gave me his card, but I could not tell if he was a licensed plumber or not. He wanted to charge $150.00 to fix a leaky outdoor faucet, that I later got on youtube and found out that all I needed to do was tighten a nut on the faucet.

Everything went well. The plumber was here for maybe 30-40 minutes. I was very happy because they gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member. They said I didn't need to show them the coupons because they trusted I was an Angie's List member. They are the only plumbing service I've found that don't charge a service fee for coming to your house.

To start off, I really stay away from providing bad reviews unless I experience truly bad customer service. I scheduled an appointment with Plumb Tite for a garbage disposal issue and was told that I will not receive a charge for the service visit. When the individual came, I told him the problem and he proceeded to use the wrench to unlock the disposal and hit the reset button. This task took about 2 to 3 minutes. I told him that I may still replace the disposal since it tends to get locked from time to time. He then told me that he will go back to his van and provide me the estimate for a new disposal problem. Before he left, he had me sign a document with the the repair that was conducted and nowhere was it stated either on the document or vocally from him how much the repair or diagnostic would cost that was just performed. He them came back from his van and told me the price for the visit will $157.50. I was blown away by the price but I was more surprised that he did not disclose this projected fee before he performed the service. If so, I would have declined. I contacted the main office and was told this is the standard price which is fine but I communicated that I was never told this up front. They apologized and offered to take the amount off of the price of the disposal replacement if needed. I declined since the only way I was going to get any form of credit was to have the disposal replaced. I also communicated that this was bad business in terms of how this was conducted. I will never utilize this company again.

This is a fairly long reply, but if you are a consumer and are looking for a company that does truly care enough to do the right thing and isn't going to stand for the bully consumer that tries to get throw a fit until they get something for free --- please read the entire response. Let me start by telling you I do apologize that you are feeling this way, as we never want customers to come away unhappy after we complete service work. As a company with a tremendous amount of positive reviews from a myriad of sources and one of the strongest reputations you will ever find in the service industry, we never enjoy hearing of times when a customer is unhappy. With this being said, with the long list of customers we go to on a day by day basis there are times that we make mistakes and for that I pride our business on being accountable and doing the right thing always. With that being said I do want to address a number of things that you stated in your review. 1.) You stated that you were never given the price for this service, but the plumber that was out to your home states he did give you this price as well as the price with applying the coupon you gave to him, which you agreed to at that point. He has signatures showing as much. As a company that does not charge a service fee, you are 100% correct you could have told us you didn't like the price and asked us to go along our way and we would have not collected a dime from you. However, what I truly believe you are upset about is the fact that the repair took less time that you were expecting. As a company that provides a flat rate price, this means that no matter if this would have taken our technician 5 minutes or 3 hours to perform, the price would have been the exact same. However, when he used the key to unlock your disposer and get the blades unstuck and then reset the unit and it worked, you were displeased at that point that it was fixed very quickly. I truly believe if he would have been there for 2 hours working on this you would have no problem whatsoever and would be praising us for the value. However, the truth is this...you did not know how to properly fix what was going on or how to reset the garbage disposal and that is why you called a plumbing company out in the first place...you called us because we KNOW how to fix problems like this, which sometimes are small and sometimes are not as small. 2.) You told our customer satisfaction manager that you would have replaced the unit if you would have known the replacement price was as close to the repair of $157. However, you did know that as our tech DID give you that price that day and this is also saved in our electronic invoicing system. However, when you called in and complained about the price, you were told that this is the minimum flat rate price for a problem involving a disposal. Again, when this price was given to you it could easily have taken our tech several hours to fix the unit, as many times a disposal has many other issues, including having to repipe under your sink to make sure it is not dripping or leaking, which if that were the case you would not have been charged anything extra. Once again, you simply are unhappy it took him just under an hour (we have GPS on our vehicles and this was the amount of time he was at your home) to complete. 3.) When you called in and complained about the price, hours after the appointment --- after not raising any of the objections you are stating in your review to the technician (whom if you would have told these things to would have immediately had one of us from the office call you to discuss while he was still there and before you paid), you now were upset with the price and the amount of time he was there. You did admit that you were given a price to replace the disposal as well, but only after the repair was had. One thing I completely agree with you about though is the fact that our technician before getting your authorization and proceeding should have given you the price to replace so you could have chosen which route you wanted to go, which leads to my next point. While calling in you were told in a very professional way that we had your signatures authorizing the work and also on the price to replace. Because of this, our customer satisfaction manager came to me and discussed this issue, and I asked what exactly it was you were looking for as a resolution. She stated that over a couple of conversations you simply were unhappy with the price, but that you kept saying that if you were given the price to replace the unit altogether you would have gone with that instead of the repair. SO... 4.) At this point I authorize her calling you and telling you that we would apply the first charge to the replacement unit, so you would have gotten a plumber coming out to install a totally new disposal (which is what you said you wanted), so that you were not paying anything extra. Therefore, if your true problem and issue was not being given the choice and stating time and time again that you did want to replace instead then it seems clear this would have been a terrific solution for you. Instead, you said that the only way you were going to get a credit for the price you paid was to do EXACTLY what you stated you wanted as a solution. I am unsure of how more we could have worked to meet your needs based upon this. 5.) Finally, you state that you rarely give bad reviews and only for poor customer service. We have around 1000 reviews online from a myriad of sources, 95%-97% of which are positive. We call every single customer to find out how we did and actively work to make sure that our customers are happy. There are very definitely times when I feel like a customer is making a valid point and act accordingly. This is not different than this situation. You are not stating that our technician gave you bad customer service (in fact, he solved the problem you didn't have the skill or knowledge to fix rather quickly as you point out, although I would dispute 2-3 minutes. Nonetheless, you then speak to our customer satisfaction manager on a number of occasions, who calls you back twice and offers you different solutions, including exactly the one you told her you wanted all along ---- to which you get upset and tell her you are going to leave bad reviews for us. Doesn't seem like the kind of person that "rarely" leaves reviews, sounds more like the person that looks for every opportunity in the world to take advantage of a situation and tries to get something for free, which I honestly believe is the only thing that would have made you happy in this scenario. I respect the fact that you didn't like the charge in relation to the time our technician was working on the issue. That I can at least understand. Again, some times with a flat rate price things will work out perfectly and the time will be shorter than what even we expect. However, in the vast majority of situations I can tell you this is exactly the opposite of what really occurs and this is why it normally benefits the customer more than the company. As I have stated several times if this would have taken him 2 hours to complete the charge would have been the exact same. He was already giving you the flat rate price to fix a disposal. Do you honestly believe that any other company that would have come out (all of which would have charged you a service fee ranging between $75-100 simply to show up) would have charged you less than what we did to complete the work? Do you think we don't research and know what our competitors charge? Did you know that every single professional plumbing company I know of that still charges time and material (an abhorrent model) start out with the premise that they are charging you for an hour no matter what plus the service fee and that hourly rate is usually north of $150? I am sorry once again this is the way you are feeling. I will not apologize though and tell you I believe that you received poor customer service or the wrong price to complete your repair. I also will tell you that for someone that "rarely" post negative reviews it seems strange that you would go to 3 different review sites to tell everyone how unhappy you were for getting exactly what you were agreed to and were promised and then when you complained and we tried to accommodate you exactly what you told us you would have wanted otherwise. Tends to make someone ask what exactly you really wanted, which was something for free. Someone has to stand up to this type of consumer behavior that is blatantly unfair to good businesses.

The guys at Plumb Tite completed the job in one day. Very professional. Fixed the problem for good. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: I hired Plumb Tite Plumbing to install a sump pump and drain in our basement walkout. The home should have had a sump pump installed when built but it didn't. So the work included jack-hammering a hole in our basement floor, cutting the concrete to allow for a drain from the walk-out and drilling a hole in the foundation for the water to be pumped outside. They installed a primary and a secondary sump pump. Also added wifi monitoring with battery backup.

I used Angie List to submit my job proposal on a Thursday late afternoon and Plumb Tite called me back in about 30 minutes and setup an appointment for that Saturday. Chad called before arriving, showed up on time and was great. He talked me through the process, gave me free estimate and then asked if I wanted the work done today. Bobby showed up on time for both the estimate and the work. He was efficient and easy to work with. The work was done about 3 weeks ago and I have not had any problems. He did not charge for the estimate and his price was significantly lower than the big chain plumbers. He cleaned up after the work was done, but could have done just a little bit better job of it.

They were prompt, and got the job done quick. The only thing was, I felt as quick as they got the job done, and with the fix that he made, I don't know if one hundred and fifty dollars was really worth it. Good. They seemed professional. They wore plum shirts, but he didn't show me any business. To prove that he was the Plum Tite plumber, like other companies have had. He was professional and courteous. The work turned out well, no leaks so far.
Description of Work: The fixed a leak in my first floor shower.

Thank you for your review, and I definitively want to address a couple of great points you made! First, we do work hard to be the most professional company around. Our office staff works hard to accommodate your busy schedule and find times that work for you. Our guys call 30 minutes in a advance and identify themselves beforehand so you know who to expect. You receive an email before the appointment letting you know when we will be there and we show up with professional uniforms on and in a professionally staged and detailed truck with our logo. Our guys do wear name badges (across from our logo on our work shirts) and have lanyards with their credentials for any customer that wants to see this (usually clipped to their belts) --- further than this we do comprehensive background checks on all of our guys every year, including criminal, driving and drug tests to make sure we are only sending people you can trust into your home. I would love to have a deeper conversation about what else would have made you feel more at ease because obviously if you felt this way there was something else that we should have done to make you feel differently. We will continue to work on this process and while this is the first time in 15 years I have ever gotten this feedback, it certainly does not mean that others might not have felt this way and not have express those thoughts. Couldn't have gone better. The technician was on-time, exceedingly friendly and helpful, and the room was left 100% clean.
Description of Work: Two leaks in a vanity previously installed by a general handyman (should've gone ahead and paid a couple extra bucks for Plumb-Tite to do in the first place). $153 with Angie's List coupon.

I called late in the day, they were very nice on the phone, , they were out next morning. (I wasn't there, tenant was) Tech called me told me prices, and explained the work, up front, he'd 1st try to snake the toilet itself ($175), and if that failed, pull the toilet to snake the drain itself ($460),,. Called me back as soon as it cleared, (washcloth and a fork in the drain) took credit card over the phone , all done. (paid $175 as promised) . Tenant said he was very nice and cleaned up in the bathroom too.

As to our service and our pricing, we do try to be up-front and honest about not only the costs, but also if there could potentially be other issues that might be discovered if we do certain work. We know that many customers have dealt with less than honest contractors who always conveniently find something else wrong, but to us this just doesn't make sense. We are going to be honest and ethical always with every customer and try to make them aware of situations where another problem could exist as well, but won't be evident until we are able to investigate more. It is nice knowing you can trust those that are there to do service work for you, and we promise not to violate this trust. Fantastic! This wasn't an easy job--a 31 year-old fixture in tight space, bent and corroded pipes that had to be sawed and re-soldered. Kevin worked steadily for three hours, did exactly what he said he was going to do. All in all, a fine job for an extremely reasonable price, given the quality and quantity of work. I will definitely call Plumb Tite Plumbing the next time I need a plumber!
