The job proved to be a bit more than originally expected. Owner provided replacement faucet. Despite matching Delta model numbers, there were some differences. Tech dove in and got the job done. No leaks since.

Their office staff was very nice and worked with me to get an appointment that fit my schedule. It would be nice to be able to get a quote over the phone, but they do offer to give free estimates and don't charge a service call. It feels like the prices are already known and could be given over the phone, but either way it also feels a little pressured to have them do the work. It makes it a little difficult to get a couple estimates and schedule the work to be done in a short period of time. The man who came was professional and did a very good job. He took the time to answer any questions I had and ensured I was comfortable with the job completion.

He was very knowledgeable, even providing tips for me to take care of things on my own to provide regular maintenance so that I will need a plumber less often. Didn't try to sell me on things that weren't needed. It was a very good service call.

Amazed how prompt, friendly and honest they were. I am the original home owner and they advised me to contact Delta Faucets for replacement parts to save $120.00 and once parts come they can fix my leak less $120.00 off of cost. I will recommend and use again.

They did an onsite eval before the job to give me a quote. They were high ($920 for the entire job minus a 10% Angies List coupon which reduced the total by $92.00; and because I paid in advance, I received a 5% discount bringing the final cost to $779). After the reinstall; I had to call them back three times to fix things. This included: 1.) They forgot to turn on the hot water after reconnection, 2.) The weight fell off of the retractable faucet hose requiring a trip back to correct this, and 3.) The entire faucet loosened up and was unusable. When I called, I got someone on the line immediately - which I did appreciate. However, none of the situations rose to the level of them managing to get a plumber out to correct the situation the next day. There were delays which required me to take more time off from work to get the repairs completed on days that accommodated their schedule. I felt this represented sloppy work...though they said things like this happened. I am used to plumbers doing thorough and very detailed work; they didn't meet my standard. There was no customer service recovery or compensation offered for my inconveniences.

Young man performed the service quickly and cleaned up after himself. But we also had a bathroom sink that was leaking and probably just needs a seal. He said, "If it's a Delta I can fix it, but if it's any other kind I can only replace it." They only carry Delta parts. We didn't know if it was Delta. If he took it apart and it wasn't a Delta our only options were to let him put it back together (pay for labor) or replace it with a generic Delta he had on the truck. Wait--what? I call a plumber and you can only fix Delta? When I called they didn't say, "We only do Delta." And when I was younger I'd replaced the inside of our toilet and it wasn't that hard or labor intensive. I priced the parts and complete replacement parts are between $30 and $50. The job took less than 30 minutes but cost $285. I can't afford to pay that kind of price for such a simple job. According to Home Advisor the typical range for toilet mechanism replacement is $138-$292. Plumb Tite's price was close to the top of the range. Next time I'll look for someone closer to the bottom of the range. The work is the same, the cost is the difference.

Repairing any other brand of faucet is likely to only cause future issues and cost more money in the long run. We always want to look out for our customers best interest and that is why the technician gave you this option. As for the toilet repair, we always keep our prices competitive with other service companies in our area. What makes us different and better than those other companies is that we give our customers upfront pricing and give them the opportunity and decision to turn our prices down. We only do the work when authorized by the customer. Therefore, if you would have said no to the repair then we would have shook your hand and thanked you for allowing us to earn your business and there would have been no charge to you whatsoever. I contacted Plumb Tite through Angie’s List “Request a Quote” function. I received a call from them about 10 minutes later. They said they could send a plumber in 30 minutes to 2.5 hours and that they would call me when with an estimate of when they would arrive. A few minutes later, the plumber contacted me and would be there in less than 30 minutes. (From the time I requested a quote to the time the work began was less than one hour!) The original work was to either fix or replace a leaky hose bib. I already knew that a simple fix like replacing the o-rings/gaskets would not solve the problem since I had already tried the simple fix to no avail. He determined that replacing it would be the best thing to do since rebuilding it would cost almost as much. He quoted a reasonable price for the work and I was able to get an Angie’s List discount as well. The replacement hose bibs he had available in his truck was of a much higher quality than a competing plumber had used the last time I had one replaced. This made me very happy. The job went well until it was discovered that the main shutoff valve wasn’t completely shutting off. This required replacement of that valve. So the scope and the cost of the job increased, but it would have been impossible to replace the hose bib without that repair as well. Good news was that I got an Angie’s List discount on that part of the work too. The plumber did a very good job of keeping the work area manageable and clean (but not entirely dry). I had to supply a couple of towels. He showed me a shoddy past repair that had been done to the line leading to the old hose bib. It was probably only a matter of time before the weld detached and caused a MUCH bigger problem. He took the time to discuss some strategies to keep the pipes in good working order. He also showed me how to shut off the water from the main outside if that ever became necessary in the future. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the experience and will no doubt use Plumb Tite in the future.

Had them come out and do the work. Nice but a little intimidating that they give the quote and then aim to do the work immediately. I really needed both items done quickly, so it worked out really great, but I could see for a bigger job it could be a little intimidating. The professionals were great, timely, and the prices were good for the work done.

Job went great, Jacob arrived on time, his price to install the softener was 175.00 cheaper than another quote we had received. Jacob installed the softener, we had a minor problem where we thought we were missing parts, Jacob waited while I called the softener maker and found the install manual parts list was incorrect. Jacob was able to finish the install and we are very pleased with the softener.

Great. Showed up toward the end of the appointment time. But the tech worked quickly. Fair price for the services rendered to fix leaky toilet. Would hire again.
