They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves. The paint that was picked was the exact color that I wanted. They covered the furniture and the floor so it would not get paint splattered.

Pete met with me to provide an estimate within 48 hours after I contacted him. He was on time, inspected and measured the square footage of the areas that I requested to be painted. I received the estimate via e-mail approximately 48 hours later as agreed. His team includes a colorist, who met with me after I had accepted the bid. I had already basically chosen my wall color so she assisted mainly with matching the trim. She was prepared to assist me with color choices as she brought several interior decorating magazines and two color fan decks along with her in case. Pete and an assistant (on two occasions there were 2) spent 7 days completing the job (Monday-Friday and Monday (Memorial day) and Tuesday). The walls and trim required 3 coats of paint and the team worked thoroughly and diligently to assure beautiful results. Pete did extras (there was a bird trapped behind a window in the basement and he took the time to release it. I initially considered using other trim colors, which he brought the samples to me and painted a sample on the walls (saved me another trip to the paint store!). He also removed paint spills (done by me) from a small table that I had previously used as I was sampling paints. Also, there are several doors in my hallway (about 6-7) that needed painting, but had not been included in the estimate. I had assumed that the doors were included, but Pete explained that doors are measured separately. He painted them anyway and did not charge extra. Pete is willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction.

Pete came on an emergency basis to open the wall. He told us when he would be here, called to let us know he was on the way, then arrived exactly on schedule. Due to problems with the plumbers, Pete was unable to begin work immediately. He didn't charge us for the call, and told us he would return when the project was ready for his work. We've worked with Pete before and we continue to be amazed at his professionalism, craftsmanship and reliability.

KARLA DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. SHE WAS PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, VERY NEAT. SHE NAILED A PIECE OF WOOD BEHIND THE DRYWALL, THAN SECURED THE DRYWALL WITH SCREWS. MUD WAS APPLIED. THIS TOOK 1 HOUR. RETURNED THE NEXT DAY, AREA HAD DRIED, APPLIED A LITTLE MORE QUICK DRYING MUD, SANDED ALL SMOOTH, PRIMED WHICH ALSO TOOK AN HOUR. KARLA WENT AS FAR AS HAVING A PLASTIC TENT WHEN SANDING SO THE DUST DIDN'T GET ALL OVER FURNITURE, CARPET, ETC. I WAS GOING TO PAINT THE AREA MYSELF, WHICH I DID, AND IT CAME OUT BEAUTIFULLY.

Pete Grady returned my call immediately and arranged to come to my home within days. He arrived on time and quickly finished the measurements he needed. I received his quote within 24 hours. I was unsure about colors because our floorplan is very open. The PP have a color consultant on staff. She came and was very helpful. Pete warned me that he was a few weeks out in scheduling, but when the day came, he and his assistant arrived on time. Having Pete and Nate in our home for a week and a half could have been a strain. But, they were extremely professional and thoughtful. At the end of each day, they cleaned up and returned everything to original order before leaving. This allowed our family to function normally every evening. A few days into the job, I changed my mind about colors in some of the rooms. Pete graciously dealt with my switch and even arranged for the paint he had already purchased to be donated to charity! I have recommended TPP to all my friends and will use them again.

Pete came to the house and measured the walls and base boards and provided me with a detailed estimate the next day. His partner, Carla, came to the house and helped me pick the two tone colors for the foyer and great room (color consultation). That was a huge help. Pete and Carla were back a week later to start the project. He said they would use 2 coats of paint and it would take 5-6 days and it took 5 days. Pete and Carla were very professional, polite, clean, and respectful. I have 2 inquisitive girls that asked lots of questions. Pete and Carla were very patient with the girls, when all I wanted was for the girls to watch TV. They cleaned up every day and worked quietly and expertly. They offer a one year free touch up warranty. I have already recommended them to various friends. They really do know what they are doing!

Pete was professional, friendly, punctual, and a hard worker. He did a superb job with work that took multiple coats of primer and paint. Having a color consultant is a great service too. We are extremely pleased with the work and will use Pete for future jobs. He is a wealth of info regarding wall preparation and technique. He knows what he's doing!

He exceeded our expectations! What a fabulous job. The house looks fantastic! His co-workers were extremely pleasant and I feel so fortunate to have met Pete. It was a breath of fresh air to have pieties professional attitude and his attention to detail was refreshing. Pete is prompt, cleans up any messes, had great suggestions for color changes (that didn't cost additional) and a terrific work ethic that's hard to find. I can't say enough great things about The Painting People, I was almost sorry to see the job completed because everyone was so nice and so professional. I had no reservations about letting them have free rein of the house inside and outside to get the job done. I don't always feel comfortable having a lot of repair workers in the house.
