There is a reason Pete's company is so highly rated on Angies List!!! Pete Arnold & Co. did a fantastic job! We had three companies come over and give us an estimate, Pete's price was incredibly fair and one of the lowest we received. When we were ready to schedule the job, he fit me in within a couple of days. The work was done thoroughly, meticulously and beautifully. He was extremely friendly and courteous throughout the project and made sure that everything was perfect down to the tiniest detail. We are extremely pleased with his work and will certainly use him again in the future!

I requested quotes from three different companies to paint my house exterior. This was done in November of 2011, and the temperatures were cooling down, making the job a little bit more challenging. Pete's quote was not the least expensive of the three, but he had excellent ratings in Angie's list, and he also gave me a discount of ~$400 from the original quote. The crew showed up on time, and they were very professional. The weather delayed the job a little bit, but Petee's crew made up the time. There were a few minor details I reported to Pete at the end, and he sent his crew to fix and retouch all of it. I had to do a little clean-up of old chipped paint at the end, specially around the bushes right below the window frames. Nothing major, but next time I would ask to put a plastic cover on top of it, to make it easier. Pete also noticed a piece of rotten wood trim in one of my windows, and gave me the phone of a handy man to fix it. He did a great job also, and I was very pleased with the result. Overall, it was a good experience. I would certainly call Pete again!

The price quoted above is approximate. I did negotiate on the price a bit and he was able to accommodate that. However, I wonder if that negotiation down in price resulted in the sloppy work that they performed. They did scrape loose paint off the wooden portion of my home before they painted, but did not scrape anything from the metal railings. The result was bubbly paint and a job that will likely last only a season. They got some paint on my brick, but when the came out to look at it after my complaint, said they didn't do all of it and that some of it was old paint. I'm not sure I agree with that. I did have a specific deadline and his schedule was continually pushed back due to the very rainy Spring. He did manage to get the job done before my deadline, but I feel they rushed through the job.

Pete and his crew did an excellent job. He explained in detail how they would do the job and followed up with an even more detailed written work order. They arrived on time and were very thorough with cleanup. They were also very proactive with communication. We were out of town when the work began and Pete called me twice a day (sometimes more) to update me about the job. He always checked with me before doing any work if he/or I had any questions about what should or should not be painted. He made several useful suggestions for color combinations and trim that my wife and I had not initially considered, but which ultimately worked best. We arrived home to find a neatly painted home and no other signs that anyone had ever been there. In the end, the work was more than the estimate he gave us, but he only charged us the amount on the initial estimate because he said it was his responsibility to stick to his estimate. Thanks! He was excellent. The job went very good overall. They were very professional. Their price was very competitive. I got two or three bids and they were like $1000 less than the others.

They were an A+. They price was good, the quality of work was good, there were no problems and everything else was good. They were punctual, professional and did an excellent job. I will continue to use them in future.

This is the second time I have used Pete and would do so again. Pete and his employees are very nice, punctual and good at what they do. Pete came to review the job and I had my e-mailed estimate later that day. The cost of the paint is included in his estimate, so I supplied him with the color numbers and he called within two weeks to set up the job. Pete and his guys showed up before I left for work and they were done in a few hours. The bedroom turned out exactly as I had hoped and my porch railing looks brand new. Considering all the rust on the railing, this was no small feat. Thanks Pete for another great job.

We contacted Pete Arnold for an estimate and he emailed us an estimate a few days later. After receiving a few quotes (some lower), my husband contacted Pete to discuss the work to be done and the price. We agreed that what we were going to get for the price was going to be the best from their company vs. the other quotes. We then arranged for a timeframe for the painting to start. The painters came when they were supposed to and got the work done in the timeframe provided. They were very professional and did a great job. We were very happy with the work. Mr. Arnold came out on the last day to look at the work and make sure we were happy with it. It looks like a brand new house!

I called Pete Arnold who came out within the next couple of days to check out the job. He called back with an estimate the day after. He responded to questions and concerns that I had with courtesy and professionalism. He responded to all emails and to all calls. Sometimes that has not been the case with some other contractors. On the agreed start date it rained. Pete called and we set up another start date. Pete is flexible and wants to make sure that the cutomer is comfortable with the process as well as the final product. I wanted the same colors that were already on the house. He requested samples (sample paints on index cards mailed to him). He was able to match them. He even suggested a change on the deck color, which looked great when later applied, a definite improvement . When the painters arrived, they were friendly and professional. I was able to go over the details of the job with them and they listened intently, althrough they had already been briefed by Pete Arnold. They arrived on time. The job started on time. And it was finished on time. They went over the finished job. They also let me know how it went and if there were any problems regarding the appearance/condition of the trim/wood that they noticed while doing their job. No issues, I was glad to hear. I was also glad to hear that feedback. Their cleanup was thorough. Job very neatly done. After the cleanup, the painters called Pete and let him know that they were done. They let me know that he would be calling within the next 5 minutes to get my review of the job. And he did call back to check on my satisfaction. He asked questions just to confirm the completeness of the job. That was great. Final charge and payment made agreeing with estimate. I will be keeping them in mind for future jobs.

Pete responded to my initial call within a day. He came out to view the work to be done and submitted his proposal quickly via email as requested. I received a number of reasonable quotes from other companies, but liked his best. It was spring time, so I was not surprised that it would take a few weeks before the job could be scheduled. I picked out paint colors and sent them to Pete. He called a few days before the work started. The paintjob looks good, so do the new window sills. His crew was very nice and cleaned up afterwards. It was overall a pleasant experience and will surely hire them again in the future.

They performed the work promptly and were courteous. They worked hard and were timely. The work was completed on time and as promised, just as it was outlined in the estimate.

Went great. The crew showed up when they said, put two coats of paint on and were done in a couple of days. They came back when I asked them to touch up a few spots, but they did a really nice job overall. Pete was easy to work with from the initial estimate.

August 8 - Selected from Angie's list and called...left message on machine. August 9 - Mr. Arnold called back...out of town on vacation. Will be back on August 11. August 11 - Mr. Arnold conducted visual inspection and will submit estimate. August 12? - discussed on phone...reduced price $200 in response to bid from other painter. Still a bit more than other bid but comparing two companies Mr. Arnold appeared more reliable. Was not clear the other painter had liability insurance. He is not an Angie's list participant. One person, self-employed...had done neighbor's house. August 16 We selected colors at Porter Paint Store. August 17? Received email with contract from Mr. Arnold. He included scanned copies of his liability and workman's compensation insurance certificates. August 19 Signed contract and emailed scanned copy....told him wasn't in any hurry to get job done. August 22 Mr. Arnold called...can begin tomorrow August 23. August 26 job completed. Two painters, Bradley and Bryan, are skilled craftsmen. Did good work. It was apparent they enjoy what they do. That makes a big difference. Multiple calls from Mr. Arnold to work progressed to confirm satisfaction.

Very professional and quality of work was excellent. Crew asked good questions and were concerned about how I liked the job. Pete Arnold was very responsive to my concerns and phone calls. They did a great job and even built a new fence when I ran into trouble getting someone to do this job- something they did not sign up for.

Originally it looked like a 6 hour work day for 2 painters, but it quickly became evident that much more paint was peeling off than anticipated so it required two 8 hour days in order to do the job right. Pete called us several times, and my husband talked with the workers, to be sure we were all "on the same page". We purposely called Pete Arnold because we trusted them to do the job right.......not only did the workers do a great job, Pete was caring and called back with the new price which did not even include the 2 extra hours required the first day! We were very pleased with both Pete's concern about being professional and fair to us and his workers staying with a "sticky" situation correcting a problem dating back 15 or more years. They were all looking for the root cause of the problem and we all agreed this is a long-standing situation and they were bound and determined to do their best to correct it.

I contacted Mr. Arnold through Angie's List. Within a couple days of the first call he looked at our house and emailed me an estimate. He also sent a paper copy of the estimate. The estimated price was $600 less than Certa Pro. Mr. Arnold originally scheduled the work to be done 3-4 weeks from the date we accepted the estimate. Which we were fine with. Soon after that he called and was able to fit us immediately into his schedule. This was even better. The project took four days. His crew arrived early every morning but were incredibly quiet as to not disturb my neighbors. They were very polite and quick to address any concerns I had. They were very professional. After the project was finished I notice one small are that need one more coat of paint. I called Mr. Arnold and he had an employee out the next day. A few days later I received a handwritten thank you note in appreciation for my business. Mr. Arnold clearly understands what it takes to run a successful business. I would recommend Pete Arnold to anyone looking for fast, professional, and fairly priced painting.

He ruined our front porch. He didn't do any work. It was his work crew that did it. They were punctual, but the work was a disaster. It's going to cost us a great deal of money to have it repaired. He did a decent job on the house, but it is peeling off in a couple of places already. The front porch started peeling off within one day. He used the wrong paint and did not prime. We asked him to come back and address the issue. The porch was in perfect condition before he painted it. The paint that he used obviously was not the proper kind of paint. It looks very, very bad. We don't even know how it's going to be repaired. We are very disappointed with his work. We had to keep calling and calling him, but he never fixed the problem. He also wasn't the cheapest; there were other companies that were cheaper.

Prompt, professional painters. They did a good job. Good clean up.

Our home was built in 1926 and we are very particular about its appearance. Pete gave us an estimate and discussed in detail how the work would be accomplished. He gave very helpful advice about painting our vinyl replacement windows to make them fit in visually with our original windows. He gave us a couple days notice before the crew arrived. The crew was polite, clean, neat, hard-working, attentive to detail, receptive to feedback, and a pleasure to work with. During the job, Pete visited to check on the progress, and to advise not painting cement mudroom floor (requiring oil paint) at this time due to the cooler temperatures. The job was completed on schedule. Clean-up was thorough. A crew member returned a few days later to retouch a couple of places that had been missed due to afternoon lighting conditions; no questions asked. This is the second time Pete Arnold has painted the exterior of our home. He has also painted our kitchen ceiling, and our interior hallways. His company's professionalism is unsurpassed and we highly recommend them.

Mr. Arnold came out twice to confirm what the original estimate covered and to price out additional painting needs identified. He called me on Wednesday 10/20/2010 of that week stating he could start the painting job on Thursday 10/21/2010. His painters showed up timely the next morning and within a half hour were already scraping the lose paint on the house trim. His painters were easy to talk to and they explained the process of how the were going to complete the work. They arrived timely each day that they were on the job. They paid close attention to detail on the house and worked diligently each day without taking long breaks. They were careful not to let paint drip on the brick of the house or the concrete around the house. They even came to paint on Saturday to complete the job before stormy weather moved in. The painters cleaned up around the house after the painting was completed without having to remind them to do so. Finally, the painters did not complain when areas were pointed out that needed additional attention. and were glad to do the touch up painting before leaving.
