Pete Arnold & Co Painting Contractors LTD

We contacted Pete Arnold in February to ask if he would paint the house in the summer. Before signing the contract we obtained another quote from a contractor who was equally well reviewed on Angie's List. The rival bid came in at almost exactly three times the price! (Unlike Pete, the other contractor did NOT follow up or express an interest in doing the job, but we assume his quote included 22 carat gold leaf with diamond accents.) To cut a long story short, Pete's team were wonderful & completely transformed our shabby Victorian house with washed-out mismatched colors into a chic colonial black-gray-white façade which looks absolutely stunning. They were extremely attentive to detail & consulted us at every step to ensure that they were meeting our expectations & performing the work to a satisfactory standard. The entire team were incredibly hardworking & responsive & had a great work ethic & despite the disruption it was actually a pleasure to have them on site. The result way exceeded our expectations. (And I apologize for the disruption, neighbors, but it is technically impossible to paint a multi-story house in Mt Adams without parking essential equipment in front of the aforementioned house for a week. We'll never do it again, I promise!)

Couldn't be more pleased with the work and the crew. I have a vinyl sided house but the trim is wood. After 8 years, the builder grade paint was done. The crew put two coats of Sherwin Williams paint on the trim, caulked everywhere, painted the back door and the garage doors, pressured washed the deck and an Amish glider and stained the deck and the glider. I had used Lowe's stain in the past, on the deck, and they had it matched at Sherwin Williams. They had to go back twice to Sherwin Williams (not the crew's mistake) to get the deck stain redone but it came out perfect. They cleaned up and packed up and other than the fact that my house looks better than brand new, you would not know they were here. Added bonus, they scared off a young raccoon who I couldn't get rid of and they took down wasp nests from the peak of the house and off of two windows. These guys rock. The first day I was at work while they were painting and the second day I stayed home as doors had to remain open and I wanted to make sure Siamese cats didn't go on vacation. I get an upset stomach every time I have work done on my house as I'm concerned about the quality of work (I watch too much Holmes on Homes) and the outcome. This time was no different for my stomach but I shouldn't have been worried. One neighbor told me he is jealous, my house looks so good. I need the inside painted eventually and I would use this crew again.

Very well. It took them about 2.5 days. They were neat, prompt and answered all of our questions. We have had many complements on the paint job.

We had contracted for this work in late April. However, because of travel plans (we were gone in parts of May and June, and more importantly, because of the wet weather, Pete's crew got to our job in July. This was not at all disappointing to us; if fact, it worked out well. His crew of five worked diligently and finished the job in one day. We checked on their progress during that day and found them to affable and working together very well. They had arrived early (about 7:00 a.m.) and finished by 4 or so. They cleaned up very well. All in all a good experience.

Pete gave us an estimate for painting our house and an approximate start date. His crew came in early May and did a great job painting our house. The entire job took about 4 days. The crew was hardworking and professional. Pete called us several times during the job just to check in with us and make sure we were satisfied. Once the painting crew was finished one of the guys walked around our house with us so we could inspect the work. Overall, this was best experience we have ever had with having our house painted. We would definitely call Pete again for any future painting jobs.

Well the first thing I notice is they showed up on time.They were all courteous and professional.They did exactly what I ask them to do and were very thorough .I would centennially hire them again.

I was putting my house on the market, and needed badly to get the peeling and faded exterior paint redone. I contacted Pete Arnold through Angie's List. I was in a bit of a rush to get the work done so I could list my house ASAP. Pete got back to me right away, and I was able to email him pictures of the areas to be painted and get an estimate via email. The painters came out as soon as the weather allowed a few days later. They were courteous, professional, and thorough. They asked me to inspect their work once they were done, and made sure to clean up any errant paint drips that occurred. The house looked great! They did a wonderful job.

I just moved into a new home. As most parents of teenagers know, they aren't usually very happy with change. I wanted to surprise my daughter with a freshly painted room, but I only had about 1 week to contact a painter, get an estimate, and get the work done. This isn't an easy feat in the spring when lots of painters are busy with exterior paint jobs that couldn't be done in the winter. Pete was able to give me an estimate for painting the room and ceiling over the phone (based on measurements). He said he'd do everything he could to get the room painted in my timeline. Due to some rain, he asked me about sending someone out a few days earlier than originally scheduled, which worked out great! The painter was professional and courteous. The room looks terrific, and my daughter was surprised (and even SMILED!) at the sleek gray walls and vibrant turquoise ceiling in her new room.

Did not come out for an estimate that was arranged on the phone. Did not call to say they were not coming.

Pete and his crew did a great job. He was punctual and communicated clearly. The job was done as promised and in a timely manner.

Pete was pleasant, gave us an estimate the same day he came out. His price was in the middle of the other 2 bids I received, but we were happy with the amount of prep work he was planning (scraping, caulking, etc). His team was professional, did a good job, cleaned up, etc. No complaints with the work. On the last day, it rained shortly after they left and we noticed paint drops on our paver patio. Pete responded to my call promptly and sent someone out to clean and repaint as soon as the weather improved. Overall, they did a very thorough and professional job. I would certainly call him again.

Pete came around to estimate the work. He was very thorough and came up with what I thought was a fair price. I had other estimates that were similar, but Pete's character and process made me feel he would provide the better service. After some delays on my side, the work commenced at the end of October. Pete's team were prompt, courteous, and professional, and did a good job. When we did a final walkthrough, we found a couple of minor items that were quickly resolved by the team. There was one other item found that was outside of the scope, and Pete recommended several tradesman to take care of the issue for me. All the work was done in the time/price estimated. I was very happy, and would definitely use Pete again.

Contacted Mr Arnold who came out and provided an estimate quickly. Estimated work to start in September. After picking the colors we wanted, we emailed the information to him. Painters arrived on day and time specified and set to work quickly. At days end they tidied up nicely. Painting took 2 days to complete(as was quoted in the estimate). Home looked superb at completion. Would recommend Pete Arnold to anyone looking to have home painted professionally.

The estimate was scheduled quickly and a written proposal was provided. Pete Arnold was always available to discuss the job, changes, corrections, and planned work schedules. Once the work began, I could set my watch by when the crew was supposed to show up. Very prompt and they got right to work. Everyone was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions and concerns. All work was done professionally and any changes or issues were quickly communicated. Dave R. was our job forman and he kept things running smoothly and made sure we were kept informed of the work progress. Pete Arnold responded very well when we needed another coat of paint on part of our siding and a few minor corrections. He sent his forman with one of his team members, Dave F., the next morning. They were apologetic about having to return and I could see first hand that everyone from Pete, Dave R. and the entire crew took pride in the quality of their work and making it right. I also plan to have them return for some interior painting during the cold weather months.

Did not get off the ground.

Pete personally oversaw the project from estimation to completion. Felt was treated fairly. Work was done professionally and timely. Even had a neighbor who could watch progress from their front window that they were impressed with how the painters approached their job and the overall professionalism. Will use Pete again. Has taken me a long time to get to this but finally got to it.

He was the most reasonably priced painter that we contacted for an estimate. He is yet to do the job, so I can't speak to the quality of the work, but he was friendly and prompt when he came out to give the estimate.

Pete walked through the project with me during the estimate phase. He provided a detailed estimate of our discussion and work request right at my home. His pricing was very fair. This was a huge benefit, to get the written estimate on company paper right there on the spot. During the project the weather was in the high 90's and very humid. The crew showed up early every day to start work and to ensure they stayed on track. They worked diligently through the hot weather. The crew cleaned up all of the equipment at the end of each day. Pete was available at any time during the project and responded promptly if he was not available when I called. We changed our minds on one large item part way through the project. Pete and Dave (crew foreman) were awesome in responding to our change request. Whenever I pointed something out to Dave, he was immediate in addressing it. I am very happy to have worked with Pete on our house project and have already recommended him to several of my friends in the community.

Pete was very professional and returned my calls promptly. The estimate was prepared in a timely manner, itemizing my specifications. Pete fit me into his schedule in June, as I requested. The crew arrived at 7:00 a.m.and completed the work by 5:00 pm on an extremely hot day. They were professional, efficient, and courteous. When the job was completed, I was asked to review the work to ensure that I was happy with the results. Pete also called to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. Cleanup was through. I will certainly hire them again in the future.

They arrived promptly, were very professional and courteous and completed the task on time. They left the premises clean and tidy.

Pete Arnold did the estimate. He arrived on time,was very knowledgeable and professional and completed the proposal. He gave me a printed copy before he left. We did however decide to go with another company, but I was impressed with Pete and the quality he projected.

The crew was polite and professional and did the work to our expectation. The overall experience was a very good one. I would recommend his company.

Following our review of proposals submitted by the top 3 Exterior Painting Companies listed on Angie's List, we selected Pete Arnold & Co. Painting Contractors. Pete closely coordinated with us when the home should be painted. When the day arrived, his five man crew showed up at 8 am, and prepped and painted two coats on the house in 7 hours. His highly professional crew worked straight through the day and ensured my wife and I were entirely satisified with their work before they cleaned up, packed up and departed. Following completion of the job, Pete called to ensure we were satisified with the results and to call him should we find any portion of the job that needs a touch-up. We highly recommend this company.

The experience working with Pete and his team was excellent - calls were prompltly returned, the quote for work was complete and professional, the staff was prompt and efficient, and the work the best we have experienced regarding the painting of our home. We will surely use Pete Arnold's team the next time we have painting requirements.

Pete was very timely from the initial appointment and once the work started. A pleasant experience from start to finish.
