Description of Work: They did 2 jobs. They rebuilt a retaining wall around a culvert. I also had a drain line collapse and they fixed that. It was done well. The price and time was reasonable. They were professional and efficient.

Description of Work: Only gave partial estimate to what we discussed. When I did not accept the contract because I wanted someone to do the entire job. He said he could do it. Why not do that in the first place?

Description of Work: Rebuilt a long two-tiered landscape bed with stone we selected. Also consulted on landscaping edging and made excellent suggestions which we adopted. Did the trenching of newly shaped beds. Scott's suggestions saved us a lot of money, and the outcome was excellent. We were very impressed with how careful they were not to damage our lawn. They had to move a lot of material across in wet winter weather conditions, and they did a great job of protecting the yard. The landscape bed turned out perfectly, and the perennial plants and bushes were not damaged in spite of all of the work that was done. We highly recommend Outside Insight.

+ -1 moreWe are doing our landscaping in 2 phases - since we are having the house painted in May we wanted to get the overgrown bushes and ground cover out of the way, weeds removed etc so our yard would be presentable. Scott and his team did a great job with the initial clean up. Scott was very engaged and had some excellent suggestions for things we should do as we go ahead and replant and mulch. We look forward to working with him again as soon as our paint job is complete.

Description of Work: I called him a few years ago since I had an emergency (my yard man went out of business abruptly), and he has done the best yard clean up I have ever had done. They removed a tree for me as well, and provide lawn & yard work services.

+ 0 moreWe were very pleased with Scott and would not hestitate to use his company for future projects. He is located within a mile of our home so that is an added bonus of having a great contractor so close by for future projects.
Description of Work: We called Scott Gifford at Outside Insight, LLC for an estimate on a patio project we were planning. Scott was very responsive and prompt in meeting with us for a intial estimate. This past summer was extremely busy for most hardscaping companies as the spring and early summer were so rainy they had lots of projects to get to. After meeting with Scott, we decided to go with a different type of work for our patio than Scott's company did.

Description of Work: Scott Gifford (owner) and his crew (Cory was main) excavated an old asphalt concrete walkway that was broken, uneven, a potential liability and that was about 140 square feet and leading up to an old concrete front entryway steps that were not in good shape either. They dug down, filled it, put sand in it, packed it, then designed a paver walkway coming from the driveway, and curving into a designed small circle in front of the steps. They repaired the stairs and covered them with pavers as well. It was fantastic how serious and conscientious, and hard working in 95 degree heat! They hauled old stone, concrete, took it away, laid the pavers, filled the seams. All meticulously done. A great team. Very pleasant to work with. Thorough. They pulled extraneous bushes, mulched everything! Plus gave me/shared ideas, AND cleaned up after themselves. They said they were going to be there, and they were there! It looks fabulous! it blends beautifully with my house and roof shingles. Looks clean, clear, and inviting. People in the neighboorhood have been stopping by to get their card, and were impressed. I'd recommend Scott and Cory and crew anytime!!!! Plus the price was competitive and actually less than most big companies I had in to estimate, and in one case less than an independent. Fair, honest people and beautiful work completed. In fact I had an old stone cut through and we all decided it would be best to pull it and put in large stepping stones, This was an extra and they came back to do it and it too looks perfect now with the new walkway and doesn't make me feel anymore like I'm going to break my neck. If I can get a few digitals I will put up.

+ 0 moreThe crew was very hardworking. The foreman actually came over to help me load mulch that I had purchased on my own when he wasn't needed to help build the wall. The results of their work was fantastic. The wall looks amazing, they created a new bed for my new trees which really helped the appearance of the front yard, and did a nice job cleaning up my existing gardens. I plan on hiring Outside Insight in the Spring to redo the landscaping on my property, once our construction is complete. I highly recommend Scott and his team.
