Olde Fort Restoration

The repair of the damage went very well. The company provided immediate response, moving furniture to dry areas, removing and disposing the water soaked padding under the carpet. They provided blowers/dryers and dehumidifiers to dry out the carpet. The prompt response allowed the carpet to be saved thereby minimizing our damages. I only thought the water affected the carpet. However they tested the finished basement walls (drywall) for moisture and discovered that the water was in the walls as well. They removed the baseboards and cut slits in the drywall to insure that the walls were properly dried out. They continued to test until normal readings were obtained and applied a treatment to prevent mold. The company installed new padding, reinstalled the carpet and baseboards and painted affected areas. We were very pleased with the finished job. We were very impressed with the fact that the company identified water in our walls/drywall which was not visible but if left untreated may have resulted in mold problems. We definitely felt like they were looking out for our best interests.
