Ohio Basement Authority

The company sent 3 polite young men to repair our leaking cracks in our basement wall. Ian, Allen, and Drake were wonderful. After repair they cleaned and swept the entire work area. They asked us several times if we were pleased. These three were monitored throughout the job by our lovely little Peanut. He watched then intently and they did not mind one bit.

Jake, Quinton, Logan and James were an absolute pleasure. Down to every last detail they made it right. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone.

Ryan Jackson, Brad Lykins, and Brad Roberts were very professional in replacing my sump pump pipe. They communicated well and completed the job faster than I was expecting. Job well done!

The company sent a three man crew to do the job at my house. The men performed like a well oiled machine. They were polite and extremely professional at all times. Their names were Corey Bowling, Evan Roberts, and Damar Anderson. Who ever hire them was very smart to do so. These men are a great example for other teams within the company. Youâ re very lucky to have them.

I had three different estimates. Ohio Basment Authority was the most professional of them all. Patrick came and took the measurements and gave me several different options. He drew a sketch of my basment on his tablet and showed me exactly what was going to happen. He was not pushy to make a sale.I would like to personally thank the crew from Ohio Basment Authority. Casey, Allen, Michael, Ryan and Bret. These guys are top notch professionals. They were polite and kept me informed and showed me the work throughout the process. Bob was very thorough and transparent throughout the quoting process. We had several other companies come out before then, and they were by far the best to deal with during planning for the job.

Stephen Forte and Ilia Mitchell did a fantastic job installing our crawl space insulation. They were courteous and professional and provided pictures afterwards to show that the job was complete to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend Ohio Basement Authority!

Our foreman Evan Roberts was excellent! He was very thorough and on top of all the details. I’m confident that the work was done correctly and my basement wall that they fixed won’t leak or shift. I would hire this company again if he was overseeing a project. It is good to work with someone with integrity.

Reassessed the job when an unusual situation with our footer was found, and changed the repair to a better solution. Our property had extensive foundation problems and we were happy with the work that Charles, Cassie and Steven D preformed. They were knowledgeable and professional.

If I had to sum my review up: do not believe anything the CFI promises. They are no better than a car salesman and will make promises with no intention to keep them. This project was allegedly price matched, but still $600 more with no apparent product difference. Project details: Bid price 3978. 27 linear feet: inside wall 17 ft plus 3 ft around edges. Actual linear feet 23. Sump pump Freeze guard Trench for draining aproximately 30 feet When the crew got here, they had no idea about the gutters being buried that were supposed to be included. They broke into the floor drain during the initial breaking of the concrete floor and when they laid concrete they didn't seal the wall of the floor drain, the water is coming into the floor drain instead of the sump pump. They also tried to leave my drain cover buried in the drain covered with concrete. They also left concrete splashes everywhere. I was under the impression (again due to the CFI) that the part of the system visible over the concrete was supposed to be approximately 1/8th inch gap between the flange and the wall. I can understand it not being perfect, we are all human. It was about a whole inch. Which may not seem like much, however that looks terrible, not to mention the dirt and debris that can be introduced to the system. I hope that no visiting family lets their kid out of sight for a second, the poor thing could get his hand stuck, it is that far from the wall. I picked this company over the other offer based on the reviews and the alleged things included, honestly I was incredibly upset with the mediochre quality and low professionalism. Be sure to measure your walls yourself. I was charged 4 extra feet that was not installed and am still waiting on the refund. I understand the Cincinnati branch is new, I also don't think one branch should be giving such conflicting information when the company has uniform products. I will leave with this: I believe the workers did the best they could do. I commend them for pushing through the miscommunication and also the giant rock under the concrete floor. Overall, if and when I finish the other walls in the basement with water protection. I would rather do it all myself than hire this company again.

Kyle lockard was great and honest when he did the inspection and there was no high pressure selling. Just did what we needed done. The team worked really hard.... Had a few minor issues with the install. I called to get them corrected. Mitchel Spurlock came out and made everything right. What a nice honest guy with an awsome work ethic. Thanks so much ohio basement authority for the peace of mind. Really satisfied the work !!!

I had OBA install outdoor french drains and new downspouts a couple of years before they waterproofed my basement. They were the only company I could find who did it all. Basement waterproofing included removing old, putting in new: full inside perimeter drainage, enlarge sump pit, 2 sump pumps, I-beams and carbon fiber straps. Added in brand new: battery backup for sump and vapor barrier on most affected wall. When my basement got wet a year later after the work was done, they didn't hesitate to schedule someone to inspect. If was heavy condensation, barely a thin puddle compared to 2 inches of flowing water. They had to rework a 6 ft section and add cement around the I-beams, each on their own call outs. They didn't charge because I have a lifetime warranty, transferable to the next owner. I'll be working with them again soon for a professional level dehumidifier.

Atilio, Bryan and Jose were exceptional. They were fast and accurate with their work. They were polite and made sure to clean up the work site when they finished. I highly recommend Ohio Basement Authority. I had other companies quote encapsulating my crawl space but none showed the quality that OBA did.

My problem is with Customer Service. The crew got the job done in 2 days, which is reviewed below and had to send the sidewalk crew to repair where they ran the drains out of my basement. They finished on a Friday, and I was told the crew would be back by the following Wednesday to repair my walkway. Nobody called on Monday to schedule or affirm the work, so I called Tuesday and was given Jeremy, who I was told was in charge of the city crews. They finished the drain and were paid in full on November 20, and finally poured the walk on December 10th, and were supposed to be back on the 11th to take the forms off, the blanket off, the plywood walkway off, but never showed up. I am handicapped and it is my only entrance and exit, so I had to wrestle it all off, and it lays beside the unfinished sump pump drain. I am sure negative comments are deleted. The crew with Q and the 2 other men did what appears to be a good clean install. They got the job done in 2 days. We have not had the big rains or winter events yet to judge if the water is actually controlled, but I assume there will be no water with a proper installation. So far with what we have had in southern Ohio has been handled by the system. Time will tell.

The technicians that came out new what they were doing and got the job done with great speed and knowhow. Very happy with the quality of workmanship.

This company assured me that a new sump pump would take care of my water problem in the basement. It did not I basically paid for an expensive sump I did not need.

Crew of Julio, Allan and Pancho just departed after finishing a three-day project to solve my basement water problems. Efficient and very hard-working folk. The took meticulous care to clean up, avoid making any messes outside and in general went above and beyond all my expectations. These guys know what they're doing. The were polite, friendly and quite willing to explain what they were doing. Julio's 20 years of experience were very much in evidence. Highly recommended if you want your basement job done right!
