Norka Futon

I called Norka and was told that they would sell me a new mattress in sealed plastic. When they delivered the mattress it was rolled up in plastic and tied with a ribbon. It was not sealed. When I slept on it I felt itching and and could not sleep. I put a dust mite cover and still got no relief. I found mites, red mites on top of the cover and on my body so I opened the mattress and looked at the cotton filling. It was full of dead bugs, including the red mites I had on my body. I called them up and the first response I got was, "okay." So I said, "Is that all you have to say?" The response I got next was, "Just one second." "When I delivered it was in plastic. That is how they come from the manufacturer. We process 5 or 6 thousand mattresses a year and that's how they come and we've never had any one infested. What would you like me to do?" "Take back the bed and mattresses." "Federal law prohibits me from doing that. What types of bugs were in there?" "I'm not a scientist, so I couldn't tell you." The conversation ended when he refused to take the mattress back and I said that I would be filling a report with Angie's List and the Cincinnati Health Department.
