Went very well. Paul was very professional and did good work. Scheduled another visit 1/7/14 for additional work.

No one bothered to return my phone call.

Hot water heater inspection. Went well. Technician was very knowledgeable, and adjusted water heater temperature up for us.

Plumber was courteous and professiional. He came on time and told us what had to be done. He came back with the proper parts for our house three days later and installed..

Two trips but our teenagers have yet to overflow this one.

AJ Nieman came to the house and went over what was needed. We walked the site and he mailed an estimate to me. He said he would only put the soil back into the ditch and NOT level it to grade. This is important because the BIG PILE OF DIRT that you are left with will settle a great deal. If you do not give the soil time to settle, you will have a giant ditch running from the house to the street. The estimate arrived within a couple days and we were put on his project list. The crew showed up on time and completed the job in a very timely manner. These people are professionals and have been around for a long time.

AJ Nieman was great to work with. This turned out to be the project from H E double toothpicks, but through it all AJ and his crew kept a positive attitude. The first attempt to locate and repair the leak using a third party leak detection service was unsuccessful. The leak was thought to be small so the next thing Nieman attempted was to re-line the pipe. We thought the lining process worked, but later found the leak had returned. A second attempt was successful, only an unanticipated secondary result was low water pressure, so the decision was made to do a directional bore-shot (the line had to be run under three paver driveways so digging was not an option) and run a completely new line. It took a while, but after all was said and done you couldn't tell that Nieman had been there at all.

They did a great job! Quickly removed the old sump pump and installed a new one with a battery back up. I was surprised how quickly he was able to do it. In and out in about 90 minutes. The price was a little steep, but we decided we wanted to make sure our home (finished basement) was protected with a sump pump with a battery back up. They also gave us a discount for being on Angie's list.

When I contacted Nieman Plumbing about my refrigerators's water dispenser not working, the receptionist transfered me to Pam in the Service Department. Pam made some suggestions about what some possible causes of the problem could be. She was very knowledgeable about refrigerator parts. She said she would contact one of their technicians as he was driving between jobs, and ask him for his thoughts. About an hour later, Tony (a technician) called me. I told him the problem, and he explained to me about a saddle valve , the water line, and a compression nut. He walked me through the steps to find out if the problem was with the refrigerator or with the saddle valve or water line. I don't know anything about refrigerator parts or repairing a fridge, but Tony explained things very clearly, and he walked me through the troubleshooting step by step. I took notes as Tony gave me the directions and instructions, so that I would know exactly what to do, and also, when my husband came home from work I could correctly communicate Tony's instructions to him. My husband and I were able to find out, based on Tony's directions, that the problem was with the refrigerator. Something inside the fridge had frozen and expanded, and caused a part to crack and start leaking. I went online, researched the part and the part number, and purchased the part at a local appilance part store. We were able to fix the problem, and the water dispenser is now working. I called back Pam and Tony at Nieman Plumbing to thank them for all of their help, and to let them know that the problem is fixed. They said that it is not necessary for them to send a techinician to my home, and charge me for something that I could possibly fix myself, especially if it is a simple fix. I really appreciate the honesty and integrity that they have. Many companies will take advantage of customers and charge them substantial amounts of money for repairs that homeowners can do themselves. Nieman Plumbing is not like this. They are about providing service and help to customers. They are not about just wanting to take your money. I told Pam and Tony that if I have a plumbing problem in the future, I will definitely call Nieman Plumbing. They are professional and honest.

They did a wonderful job. They were a terrific company, very nice. We did not pay anything because we have insurance that covered it. They were on time.

They never followed up and come through with the estimate. I never heard form them. I will not use them again.

The first time the provider came, he fixed the leak quickly. Less than a month later, the leak returned. He came back and fixed the leak again at no charge, and said a part would have to be replaced in the next month. He said the part would have to be ordered, so he took pictures and said I would be contacted with an estimate. I was never contacted. Less than two weeks later, I came downstairs after a shower and found a large puddle of water in my kitchen and the paint on the ceiling was hanging down. I called the provider who promised I would be contacted. No one has yet called me back. I went from being very happy with the service to being very disappointed, and I don't plan on using this service again.

Don't call them if you really need work done.

Miscommunication and commumication on contractors behalf left alot to be desired. I called to have my Zoller Dual Pump system serviced, and while they were there to install a garbage disposal that needed replacement. When Tech arrived he stated that they do not service this pump system. They only work on them when they are broken. This was disturbing because I should have been told of this when I called for the service. If I would have known they did not service the system, I certainly would not have had them come to just install the disposal, for a charge greater than what I paid for the disposal. Shortly after he left, I fould paperwork from the pervious owner showing that indeed she had this pumped serviced by this company. I called the office to inquire about this issue and let the rep. know the their tech apparently mistakenly took my old sink stopper while he was cleaning up. I was told that she would contact the tech to get me back the stopper and that someone would contact me about the pump issue. After not receiving a return call, or my stopper, on 2/4 or 2/5 I called the office and was told that they do service work on my pump system, and he had the tech that services the system a few blocks away and he would stop by to look at the system. He looked the system over and told me that I would receive a call on pricing for service. After a week of no contact, on 2/13 I called and was put into a voicemail system. I requested a call back. On 2/18/I sent a letter to the contractor voicing my displeasure with the entire experience. I enclosed a check for the charges for labor only. A few days later I received a call from Nieman Plumbing. We had a short chat, and we ended the call in an imicable fashion. I never did get my stopper back.

They always do a really good job. I pay them every year and I think their price is reasonable. They really know their stuff and they send the same chap every time, which I think is great because he knows my system and he knows what is going on. I like him a lot. They keep track of it for me and it is great; I do not have to call or anything and I do not even have to be at home when they come. They come, fix whatever needs to be fixed and they are out of here.

They did a very good job. They were able to do work that another company could not.

We purchased a house that had an existing service contract with Nieman. The office staff was incredibly helpful in transitioning this agreement and providing background on services included and capabilities of the company (they even sent along song coupons and a magnet). We required pumping of the septic tank and the technician came to supervise the work of the pumping crew and monitored the whole process even in bitter cold weather. Excellent professionalism and service.

I paid a $75 deductible on my home warranty. I believe the service would have cost around $200, $320 or so for the holiday overtime. On the evening before Thanksgiving, my kitchen sink would not drain. My home warranty company contacted Nieman and I got a call from Brian Nieman within 30 minutes of the authorization (around 10 pm). Joe was at my house on Thanksgiving morning promptly at 8 am (he called 40 minutes before to confirm). Joe snaked my drain and dealt with the home warranty authorization agents. He cleaned up after himself and was friendly, professional, and respectful. He refused the tip I tried to offer him.

While I found the gentleman that actually did the work courteous and very professional, the same can not be said of their parts Ordering and Cust. Service. The woman who does the parts ordering was rude, brusque and not very helpful. When we returned from a trip we had a message awaiting asking us about a brand. We told them what we thought it was. Apparently we were wrong, and she knew it, yet did nothing for a week until I called again. She then told me she "knew it wasn't by Grohe" but did not respond until I called again; that cost a week in getting the shower repaired. Their pricing is a bit steep; had we gotten faster and more courteous treatment by the office that would not have been such an issue.

This is the only plumbing company I use. They're straightforward and honest.

They finished timely within 1 day and left the yard in great condition and provided information to care for ground settling. We would use this company again as they hit the mark on every expectation and communicaiton. A+ Service and highly recommend.

Everything was performed on time and in a very neat way.

They're good and a great company. They come when I need them. They get the work done and do a good job.

Our water heater went out after 7 years. Tony said that it was still perfectly good, so we didn't need to change out the entire unit. He changed a small part, for the vent system, and it's been working great ever since.
